Abstract: Emerging technologies are principal factors facilitating the predicted transformative changes that the Fourth Industrial Revolution is anticipated to generate during the 21st Century. Quantum computing is an emerging technology accelerating and necessitating innovations in cybersecurity. This quantitative and qualitive research analyzed current innovations involving quantum-computing-based cybersecurity and their implications for national security. We reviewed relevant post-quantum schemes against current technologies, emerging technologies, and standards; our evaluation derived the characteristics of those schemes towards their potential impact on the global community. The study further examined how quantum superiority has introduced a quantum arms race among nations seeking supremacy and how it intensifies the probability of nation-state conflict. Our findings and recommendations revealed an alarming research and adoption gap between quantum-computing-based cybersecurity and other quantum research. The research’s resulting recommendations identify apposite approaches for addressing national and international conflict.

Abstract: The study was carried out to determine the effect of corona Virus (COVID-19) on the performance of medical imaging technology technicians in some selected hospital of Rivers State. A descriptive cross sectional survey was used to determine the relationship between Corona Virus disease (COVID-19) and the performance of medical imaging technicians and to ascertain effect of Corona Virus disease (COVID-19) on the patient turn-up. To ascertain the effect of corona Virus (COVID-19) on performance of imaging technology technicians before, during and after the pandemic period. From the findings, it was observed that the turn-up of patients before and after the outbreak of the pandemic in the research area was very high in 2019 (120/100) and 2021(90/100) respectively compared to the year 2020 the year of the outbreak that recorded a very low turn-up of (9/30), that affected the services of the imaging technology technician as well as the hospital. In conclusion, it was recommended that i: every individual including the medical imaging technology technicians should have adequate knowledge of the disease and its precautionary measures, ii: there should be availability of Information and Communication technology centers where everyone can easily be able to reach their Care-givers iii) the medical Imaging Technology technicians should be well trained on how to use other modalities especially ICT tools to access and interact with patients in remote locations in periods and cases as this.

Abstract: The present study focused on the assessment of the level of information and communication technology (ICT) literacy and utilization among academic and non-academic staff of Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology, Port Harcourt. A population of 60 staff participated in the study. An open and closed ended Questionnaire was used to collect data for the study. Data collected were analyzed using simple percentages. Results indicated that computer literacy level of the staff of the college was more than average 20(33.3%) for academic staff and was slightly low 18(30%) for non-academic staff of the college. The institution does not have the required ICT tools for effective teaching and administrative purposes. Recommendations are that, the college management should provide adequate manpower, train and retrain its workers on ICT, establish proper administrative system as well as establishment of functional ICT department.

Abstract:  The exponential growth of the internet and new technology lead today's world in a hectic situation both positive as well as the negative module. Cybercriminals gamble in the dark net using numerous techniques. This leads to cybercrime. Cyber threats like Malware attempt to infiltrate the computer or mobile device offline or internet, chat(online), and anyone can be a potential target. Malware is also known as malicious software is often used by cybercriminals to achieve their goal by tracking internet activity, capturing sensitive information, or blocking computer access. Reverse engineering is one of the best ways to prevent and is a powerful tool to keep the fight against cyber attacks. Most people in the cyber world see it as a black hat—It is said as being used to steal data and intellectual property. But when it is in the hands of cybersecurity experts, reverse engineering dons the white hat of the hero. Looking at the program from the outside in –often by a third party that had no hand in writing the code. It allows those who practice it to understand how a given program or system works when no source code is available. Reverse engineering accomplishing several tasks related to cybersecurity: finding system vulnerabilities, researching malware &analyzing the complexity of restoring core software algorithms that can further protect against theft. It is hard to hack certain software.
