Abstract: System security is substantial for computer clients, networks, and different organizations. With the advancement of the web Applications, security has turned into a significant attention for the web developers and a clear historical backdrop of security allows for a preferable understanding, development, and optimization of security websites. Multiple techniques are currently employed in the market to cater for the safety websites for network attacks. The proposed model helps a web server administrator to monitor the services. It terminates unnecessary ports and services and thus makes the system less vulnerable. There are six stages of the model: analysis stage, design stage, implementation stage, testing stage, running stage, optimization stage. However, it is imperative to keep updating the security system to fixing any newly found loopholes which may make the system vulnerable.

Proposal: This paper analyses the condition of current security websites from network attacks and proposes a model that can help improve the security websites. The software tool for securing web servers is raised in this paper.  The proposed apparatus helps a web server overseer to oversee running administrations and opening ports on the server. Abstract: Feature selection involves identifying a subset of the most useful features that produces compatible results as the original entire set of features. A feature selection algorithm may be evaluated from both the efficiency and effectiveness points of view. While the efficiency concerns the time required to find a subset of features, the effectiveness is related to the quality of the subset of features. Based on these criteria, a fast clustering-based feature selection algorithm (FAST) is proposed and experimentally evaluated in this project.. The FAST algorithm works in two steps. In the first step, features are divided into clusters by using graph-theoretic clustering methods. In the second step, the most representative feature that is strongly related to target classes is selected from each cluster to form a subset of features.  Features in different clusters are relatively independent, the clustering-based strategy of FAST has a high probability of producing a subset of useful and independent features. To ensure the efficiency of FAST, we adopt the efficient minimum-spanning tree (MST) clustering method.

Abstract: Today selfie is more popular among the younger generation. Recent studies refers 91% of teens have taken a selfie and over 1 million are taken per day. Three-quarters of young people aged between 18 and 24 admit taking selfies, the study by mobile phone company HTC found. Different scholar, doctors, experts, researchers, psychiatrist and sociologist examine and make the research about the impact of selfie on youth. According to those people findings reveled that there is a positive and negative impact on selfie. More literature and research reviewed that selfie has been considered as negative impact on youth. This research examines the negative impact on youth according to expert’s opinions and research reviews. Secondary data was used for the research. Scholars journal, articles, doctors reviews, website articles, experts opinion from websites were taken for as a secondary data. In this study found the selfie brings negative impact on youth such as skin damage, loss self-confidence and   self-esteem, suicide, mental illness, damage real relationship, selfie deaths, plastic surgery on youth.

Abstract: Intelligence Quotient (IQ) has been the principal predictor of academic achievement in schooling. IQ is usually determined by using questions. Humans employed to administer questions sometimes tend to be bias. This paper presents a novel way of determining the IQ of a child through the administration of questions by employing rule-based systems complemented with multiple regression technique. Questions are divided into four sections, namely, word comprehension, logical reasoning, mathematics skills and picture analysis. The timing of each question is based on child’s age and the number of characters in the question through multiple regression analysis whilst the determination of the IQ is done by the expert system. The system is robust and free of bias. It ensures that self-motivation and persistent qualities are achieved.

Abstract: The quest to develop applications to fully assist humans in our daily activities through the acquisition and utilization of contextual information has been the ultimate concern of researchers in pervasive computing. Many different implementation mechanisms have been adopted over the years. Currently, researchers are focusing on artificial neural network to develop context-aware recommender systems. This paper examines the various architectures and learning algorithms employed in these systems in order to deduce the general trend of implementation whilst assessing their pros and cons through literature survey. The paper goes ahead to recommend robust mechanism for future applications that can be used in mobile environment. The work revealed that the general trend of implementation is through threshold scoring mechanisms, reliance on the internet, complicated learning algorithms and architectures with the view to achieving higher prediction accuracy. These mechanisms ignore the limited capabilities of mobile devices in achieving pervasive computing. The work therefore recommended that there is the need to use simple but adaptive neural network architectures and learning algorithms so that these systems can be implemented on mobile devices without any negative impact on them

Abstract: Businesses, as well as individuals interact with web applications on a daily basis due to their flexibility, appropriateness, availability, usability and interoperability. This makes web applications highly vulnerable to cyber-attacks. While web applications have strengthened most organizations by mapping their businesses globally, and facilitating information exchange, the major concern in web applications is mitigating security breaches. This due to the fact that in the recent past, there has been a dramatic increase in web application vulnerabilities being reported as attackers improves their skill and competencies to defeat the existing techniques. The main objective of this study was to design a hybrid multi-agents system for detecting SQL web applications vulnerabilities and formulate system requirements. Multiagent Systems Engineering (MaSE) was used as a methodology for system design in this study. MaSE provided a guide in analysis and design. The Hybrid system designed was subjected to a desktop review as a test bed to determine the time taken to scan vulnerabilities across webgoat, vicnum and genhoud web applications. When compared to Vega, Wapiti and Zap vulnerability scanners, the hybrid multi-agents system performed better in detecting SQL injections. The authors concluded that a hybrid multi-agents system provides a better coverage with no false positive and false negative limited time to scan compared with already existing vulnerabilities scanners.

Abstract: A micro payment scheme is designed for providing resourceful and secure solution for online paymentecosystems. A micropayment application has turns to be general usage in electronic payment due to the fasted expansion of the Internet and the improving sophistication of electronic commerce. It is specifically designed for the customer to make the safe payment. Assaulters commonly aim to stealing the customer data by using the Point of Sale i.e. the point at which a retail first gathers customer information. During the payment, in cases of network failure, attackers’ tires to steal the password from the customers so there may be no secure operation On-line payment is possible. In our paper, we propose secure and privacy off-line micro-payment solution for the resilient attackers due to the PoS data breaches. We utilize the Frodo protocol to make the secure and safe payment against attackers which not only analyze the customer’s coins but also verify the identity of the customer using identify element which enhances flexibility and security and improves the effectiveness of the system by provide the secure micro-payment between the customers and vendors.

Abstract: The concept of smart homes and researches based on it are not much novel in western society. However, in South Asian region, the use and practice have not gained wide popularity. Through, a thorough review of literature it has been found that the fully fledged smart home automation system based on current technologies has not been developed yet. This particular paper has presented a smart home automation system named “H@USE” comprising the necessary features using the state of the art technologies which is highly feasible in Sri Lankan context.

This paper put forwards the design and implementation of home automation and security system by using Arduino Uno microcontroller. Home appliances are connected to the Arduino and a standard communication between appliances and the mobile device are established using Wi-Fi connectivity. The user credentials are provided in order to ensure maximum security. The prototypical system built is highly reliable, user friendly and flexible.

Abstract: Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs) take high end-to-end latency, which is frequently appearances interruption, and unpredictable wireless connections. DTNs provides a service where network executes commotion or delay. It operates in challenged networks with particularly partial resources such as memory size, CPU processing power etc. This paper presents an effective trust managing mechanism for providing protected environment. The proposed dynamic trust management protocol uses an active threshold apprising which disables the problems with time changing active appearances by dynamically updating the principles in response to changing network conditions. This reduces overheads and increases the efficient use of routing network even in conditions change. Also the dynamic threshold update reduces the false detection probability of the malicious nodes. To show the effectiveness of the proposed system, a detailed simulation in the presence of selfish and malicious nodes is performed with ONE simulator. Finally a comparative analysis of our proposed routing with previous routing protocols is also performed. The consequences demonstrate that presented algorithm deals effectively with selfish behavior with providing significant gain on effective delivery ratio in trade off with message overhead and delay.

Abstract: The Now a days Tracking mobile target is an big problem in wireless sensor network. This work is about the diculties involved to track the target which emits the signal using the mobile sensor based on reception of signal. As the mobile target plan is unknown, time of arrival (TOA) measurements from the mobile sensor network is used by the mobile sensor controller. Mobile sensor controller collect TOA is obtained from both the mobile target and mobile sensor to direct mobile sensor to follow the target and also to estimate location. To estimate the location we used min max approach. System also proposes Ant colony optimization (ACO) to estimate location eciently and for managing sensor mobility aiming at improving the tracking of a single target. This enlightens the approximation of the position of the nodes to guess the location of the nodes. Once the entity is managed, mobile sensor nodes concentrate in that entity and the location of the mobile sensor and target jointly to improve the tracking accuracy. Systems provide a sequential algorithm and a joint weighted localization algorithm before controlling the mobile sensor movement to follow the target. For the navigation of mobile sensors improves eciency, the cubic law is applied. Target tracking can be seen as a sequential location estimation problem. Char- acteristically, the target is a signal emitter whose transmissions are received by a num- ber of distributed sensors for estimating the location. Main drawback of existing system is delay in time of arrival (TOA) measurement. To overcome the time delay and to improve the shortest path of the target, system proposes Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) approach to estimate tracking the location of target.

Abstract: Denial-of-Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial-of Service (DDoS) attacks account for one third of all service downtime incidents. Current DoS/DDoS attacks are not only limited to knocking down online services, but they also disguise other malicious attacks such as delivering malware, data-theft, wire fraud and even extortion. Detection of these attacks is predominantly based on the packet data and metrics derived only from packets. This work proposes a host based DDoS detection framework called BRAIN: Behavior based Adaptive Intrusion detection in Networks. BRAIN leverages already available Hardware Performance Counters in modern processors to model the application behavior using low-level hardware events. BRAIN combines network statistics and modelled application behavior to detect DDoS attacks using machine learning. Our experiments show that BRAIN can detect multiple types of DDoS attacks, including those are undetectable by existing tools with an accuracy of 99.8% and a false alarm rate of 0%.
