Abstract: -Server applications which are running inside production cloud infrastructures are prone to various performance problems like software hang, performance slowdown, etc. When those problems occur, developers often have little clue to diagnose and localise these problems. PerfTrace an anomaly Fault localization & diagnostic tool which builds on PerfCompass and Hytrace diagnostics tools and uses an amalgam of static analysis schemes and dynamic runtime analysis schemes. Both these schemes have advantages as well as limitations. PerfTrace tries to incorporate only the advantages of these schemes.

Abstract: This Paper gives an insight on working of an Electronic Voting Machine more commonly known as EVM, India is a democratic country in which every citizen has the right to vote. People exercise their right to vote by simply pressing a button indicating their favoured candidate on this machine, but even if this procedure may look simple behind this secrecy of casting vote, being accurate and transparency the few aspects are important for an EVM. As people choose their fate by means of this EVM. The Election Commission of India has the responsibility to carry out the Elections in free and fair manner. The EVM makes this tedious process simpler as it makes the counting of votes faster and accurate reducing Human Error and thus helps the Citizens of India in choosing their Government.

Abstract: The boost in data storage capacity and computing power due to advancement in cloud computing and big data have extended the reach of information to the third party such as census data, medical data, and personal consumption data. However, privacy protection is one of the most concerned issues in big data and cloud. As big data and clouds hold user-specific information and therefore, we can't directly share an individual's data for analysis as this will lead to threats to user’s privacy. Hence, to preserve privacy during big data publishing and cloud computing we can use Anonymization techniques. To anonymize the data, the data privacy models such as k-anonymity, l-diversity, t-closeness are used. This survey paper first describes the privacy models used to anonymize the data and further share the concept of the different algorithms used to implement k-anonymity.

Abstract: The project “HAPInoy: Reviving Filipino Culture and Traditions through Android Application for Grade 1 to 6 Pupils" aimed to teach elementary students from Grade 1 to 6 about Filipino culture by providing alternative ways to recall the cultural and traditional living of the Filipinos. The categories of topics presented are Bahay Kubo, Karinderya, Paaralan, and the Pinoy Fiesta. The application was created using C# programing language and Unity. The developers used Conformance Testing to verify application implementation conformance and Functionality Testing to test the performance of the game application. The evaluation was conducted by forty-five (45) respondents, which consist of ten (10) IT Experts, ten (10) Araling Panlipunan Teachers and twenty-five (25) elementary pupils assisted by their parents. This successfully garnered an average mean of “3.54” and “0.57” Standard Deviation which interpreted as “Highly Acceptable”. This proved that the application is appreciated and can be used as a tool to disseminate information about Filipino Culture and Traditions.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to develop an E-learning android application that would allow users to read Periodic Table Elements using Augmented Reality Technology. The study focused on the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in an interesting and interactive way of learning. FOCAL was created using the following applications: Unity for developing the application, Windows 3D Builder and Blender for 3D modeling, Vuforia for augmenting objects and scanning, Adobe Photoshop CC for designing graphics and periodic elements, Maya and C# for the back end. The application was tested using the following tools: the functionality test to ensure that all the modules of the application were responding as they were designed to do; the compatibility test to ensure that the application runs well on all android platforms and the conformance test to ensure that the application abides by all software development standards. Using the Rating Scale (MARS), the application was evaluated by ten (10) IT experts, fifteen (15) Students taking Chemistry Subjects and fifteen (15) Android-Users; all of whom rated it as highly acceptable.

Abstract: “iLuto: A Filipino Recipe App for Android” is an Android application developed to help users with varying cooking skills learn how to easily prepare popular Filipino native recipes and unique dishes that are rarely found on a typical Filipino cookbook. The application help develop users’ skills as they progress thru different app features such as the “Fridge” to Search/ View recipe, Add/Remove Favorite Recipes, Daily Meal Planner, and the Grocery/ Shopping List. The application was created using Android Studio with SQLite Manager as its database. The researchers used the prototyping technique as a method to develop the application. The study was subjected to compatibility, conformance and functionality tests used to improve the performance of the application. It was further subjected to evaluation based on the Android core app quality standards (developer.android.com) with the criteria of functionality, performance and stability, and Google Play. Ten (10) IT experts and thirty (30) mobile users evaluated the app. Evaluation results revealed an overall mean of “3.62” with a Standard Deviation of “0.84”,  interpreted as “Highly Acceptable”. Results proved that the mobile application is an effective tool to learn and enhance the skills of the users in cooking native Filipino cuisine.

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to help people in easily learning English Grammar. Practice your English Grammar (PEG) helps the users to enhance their English Grammar. The project aims to help people who are having difficulties with their English subjects or having trouble understanding or learning English grammatically. The application has four (4) main modules (Learn, Test, Watch and Hear). There are definitions about ‘Parts of Speech’ which is in the Learn module; Grammar exercise is in the Test Module, Hear module and Watch Module. The project was developed using Unity 3D Game Engine as its frontend and the researchers used C# programming language as the backend. The project was designed using Adobe Photoshop CS6. The application can only be used in android phones and requires an android version of 4.1 Jellybean and up. The functionality test and conformance test was used by the researchers; tested by the technical adviser and end-users. Test results from the end-users; the number of criteria in Functionality testing is sixty-four (64); the number of pass in the criteria is sixty-four (64) and the fails are zero (0) with a percentage of 100%, in terms of Conformance testing by end-users; the number of criteria is twenty-three (23), the number of passes is nineteen (19) and the number of fails is four (4) with a percentage of 82.61%. The test results for the technical adviser; the number of criteria in Functionality testing is sixty-four (64); the number of pass in the criteria is sixty-four (64) and the fails are zero (0) with a percentage of 100%, in terms of Conformance testing by end-users; the number of criteria is twenty-three (23), the number of passes is nineteen (19) and the number of fails is four (4) with a percentage of 82.61%. The study was assessed using the following: Engagement, Functionality, Aesthetics, and Information. The researchers conducted an evaluation involving thirty-five (35) end-users and ten (10) IT experts. The instrument used to conduct the testing is Mobile Application Rating Scale (MARS). The overall total Standard deviation for IT experts and End-users is “0.04” “0.03” respectively, and a mean of “3.62”, it is interpreted as "Highly Acceptable". The result of the evaluation shows that the project is a useful tool in learning English Grammar.

Abstract: Information technology (IT) has transformed many industries, from education to health care to government, and is now in the early stages of transforming transportation systems. The major issue that faces transportation is a high rate of accidents and this is much more in developing countries. The lack of proper infrastructure for roads and indiscipline among drivers is one of major reasons for these crashes. The major indiscipline cases are over speeding and driving outside permitted routes for Matatu Saccos. This project focuses on public service vehicles (PSV) i.e. Matatus, where the goal of the project is to design and deploy a Real-Time embedded system that will be attached to public vehicles to act as a speed limit and route advisory and monitoring tool for drivers. The proposed System will base on the designed model and will play a major role in reducing risks and high accidents rate, whereas it can increase the driver’s ability to adhere to speed limit and routes.  This research project explored earlier methods that have been used previously in speed limit adherence. It goes on to synthesize and then reorganized the methods into a conceptual model. This is the model that acknowledges the presence of speed awareness method, route awareness method and a computation method that analyses and gives a deduction of whether the driver is over speeding, violating route or both. The concept identified was then the drive in model design. The model that was designed was to achieve the research objects the main objective being to monitor speed limit adherence and location violations. A prototype based on the model was analyzed and designed then developed. To develop the prototype, enabling technologies from literature review were used to implement. After development, testing and evaluation had to be done on the prototype. To test the prototype, simulation played a very major role. By use of rheostat to vary speeds and a string of saved coordinates that represent a route, speed limit and route adherence were tested. The prototype was found to be able to detect posted speed limits and compare the vehicles speed with them and report whether a violation happened or not. Simulation also showed that the route violation was possible. To evaluate the prototype, two parameters were looked at. A utility and usability test was done on the prototype. Questionnaires were used to collect data pertaining utility and usability and analysis and interpretation done. It was noted that the prototype was able perform the functions it was designed. A SUS approach of usability was used to evaluate how usable the prototype after development. In conclusion a model to monitor speed limit and route adherence, which was a major project objective, was developed. The prototype was developed basing on the model and combines standardized off-shelf parts and technologies for its wholesome assembly. These means that it can be used anywhere in world but we mostly target developing countries. The system uses technologies such as Microcontroller processing board, GPS, GSM, GPRS Shell, and a remote server.

Abstract: Library cooperation and networks has grown mostly in the last three decades in different parts of the world in order to lodge the precise requests of the library users by introducing models. Although, few models have been developed to provide these specific services, despite the fact that not all models obey the rules to the essential functions of library networks. These essential functions which include the promotion of Resource Sharing (RS), creation of resource sharing tools like Union Catalogues, validation of acquisition and safeguarding International standards for creation of records should depends on the libraries in selecting a model which is suitable to its requirement. This study is based on mete analysis; Mete analysis is a quantitative, formal, epidemiological study design used to systematically assess the results of previous work of related research; it is also used to combine data from multiple studies. The objective of the research is to develop a Resource sharing model for these university libraries. The result of the study was a developed suggested three types of models to be used for resource sharing and library co-operation in university libraries under survey. Recommendation of types and tips of resource sharing models are stated.

Abstract: The project aimed at detecting aircrafts using a Convoluted Neural Network. The network was trained and tested which helped provide more accurate results. The inputs into the system were satellite images. This image was processed by being passed through the four layers of the network. The layers carried out the following tasks: i) Removal of Noise ii) Detection of Object iii) Feature Extraction of the object iv) Matrix Analysis so as to deliver the results. The proposed methodology gave the output in the form of the same satellite image along with the object being marked within squares. The functions written were divided to carry out the tasks of image identification and feature extraction. The Neural Network also needed to be trained prior to the detection process in order to ensure that the images would be detected with accuracy. This method in comparison with most other methods yielded better results.

And then authorization is the process of giving someone permission to do or have something. Every access control has four processes Identification, Authentication, Authorization and Accountability. Particularly MFA is expected to be utilized for human to – everything interactions by enabling fast, user – friendly and reliable authentication when accessing a service. Abstract: Cloud computing is the next stage in the Internet's evolution, providing the means through which everything-----from computing power to computing infrastructure, applications, business processes to personal collaboration ----can be delivered. Cloud computing refers to manipulating, configuring, and accessing the applications online. It offers online data storage, infrastructure and application. The term "cloud computing" originated from the cloud metaphor and graphic that often represents the Internet on network diagrams, because cloud computing relies on applications and file storage that reside on a network: a local-are network, a district intranet, or the Internet itself. . The "cloud" in cloud computing can be defined as the set of hardware, networks, storage, services, and interfaces that combine to delivery aspects of computing as a service. Cloud services include the delivery of software, infrastructure, and storage over the Internet (either as separate components or a complete platform) based on user demand. Cloud computing offers many possibilities to developmental educators for its use, whether for communicating with students through social networking services like Face book, sending out updates via Twitter, providing online tutoring or having students collaborate on their writing using a wiki. Cloud computing has the potential to offer staff and students better services at a lower cost that the technology deployment models they are using now. The present research paper discusses about the models of cloud computing, application of cloud computing, benefits and disadvantages of cloud computing. The investigator also focuses upon the various challenges in implementation of cloud computing in higher education.

Abstract: The water is one of the crucial resources on earth for the survival of the human beings. Due to its scarcity the usable amount on earth is reducing. Further adding to the pain is the contamination of the available water due to human direct and indirect activities.  Hence the quality of the water is to be determined for the betterment of humans. For that purpose we have surveyed two works which go in that direction, one is the collective review of all the computerized techniques for the water quality assessment on the bases of extracted feature. Other is the one which is focussed in making the right analyses of the contamination, both in physical and chemical form. Survey shows that the back propagation is the best method of classification and the F content of the 45% samples analysed in the study is high and that is a big concern.

Abstract: Deduplication has been widely used in backup systems and archive systems to improve storage utilization effectively. However, the traditional deduplication technology can only eliminate exactly the same images, but it is unavailable to duplicate images, which have the same visual perceptions but different codes. To address the above problem, we designed and developed a back propagation based Artificial Neural Network (ANN) classifier, which is efficient in terms of learning time, ROC and computational efficiency during testing/prediction/classification phase. In addition, with a large amount of data and a careful designing of architecture, we can define a better feature selection from CBFD (Complex Binary Feature Descriptor) thereby ensuring higher accuracy.

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to provide a mobile learning android application for preschoolers with the used of Augmented Reality to become more interesting and learn in a new exciting way. It is a tool for improving the learning process and also to expand their visual learning through 3D interactive objects using a handheld android smartphone device. The application has “Learn” and “Games” features which consist of different categories like alphabets, colors, shapes, animals, body parts, and planets. The application was created using Unity, Blender, and Maya for designing the game and 3D objects. The developers used C# Programming Language for the function of the app and Vuforia for the Augmented Reality. The researchers followed the Iterative Software Development Model as a guide in developing the application. The application was tested using Functional test, compatibility test and conformance test by preschoolers guided by parents and other researchers team. The developers got a percentage of 100 in compatibility testing, In Functional testing, the developers got a percentage of 94.43% and in conformance testing the developers got a percentage of 88.75%. The application was evaluated using Mobile Application Rating Scale (MARS) by IT Experts, Preschool guided by parents, Parents, and Android Users. The overall results have a mean of “3.68” and an average standard deviation of “0.52” that was interpreted as “Highly Acceptable”.
