Abstract: In high voltage electrical power system, variety of solid, liquid and gaseous materials are used for insulation purpose to protect the incipient failure inside the power equipment. Among these the solid insulation is widely used for high voltage power equipment in electrical power system. Most of insulating materials are not perfect in all respect and contains always some impurities. The presence of air bubble (void) is one of such impurities in insulating materials and highly undesirable for such type of insulation which causes a local weak zone inside the insulator. Insulation of the power equipment gradually degrades inside the insulator due to collective effect of electrical, chemical and thermal stress. Due to the high voltage stress the weak zone inside the insulator causes the partial discharge (PD) which is known as local electrical breakdown. As a result the insulation properties of such materials are enormously degrades its quality due to the PD. In this work, the simulation of PD activity due to presence of a small cylindrical and cubical void inside the solid insulation material of high voltage power equipment is studied with the MATLAB Simu link platform.

Abstract: In this paper we present a high-performance, high throughput, and area efficient architecture for AES algorithm. The sub keys, required for each round of the Rijndael algorithm, are generated in real-time by the key scheduler module by expanding the initial secret key, thus reducing the amount of storage for buffering. The AES algorithm is a symmetric block cipher that can encrypt (encipher) and decrypt (decipher) information.            

AES has a fixed block size of 128 bits and a key size of 128, 192 or 256 bits, whereas Rijndael can be specified with key and block sizes in any multiple of 32 bits, with a minimum of 128 bits and a maximum of 256 bits. AES operates on a 4×4 array of bytes, termed the state. For encryption, each round of AES (except the last round) consists of four stages. a) Sub Bytes - a non-linear substitution step where each byte is replaced with another according to a lookup table (known as S Box). b) Shift Rows - a transposition step where each row of the state is shifted cyclically a certain number of steps. c) Mix Columns - a mixing operation which operates on the columns of the state, combining the four bytes in each column using a linear transformation. d) Add Round Key - each byte of the state is combined with the round key; each round key is derived from the cipher key using a key schedule.

Abstract: This work illustrates an educational project flow of an electronic system. This system is developed to support applications in which there are the need to measure motion parameters and transmit them to a remote unit for real-time teleprocessing. In order to be useful in many operative contexts, the system is flexible, compact, and lightweight. It integrates a tri-axial inertial sensors, a GPS module, a wireless transceiver and can drive a pocket camera. Data acquisition and packetization are handled in order to increase data throughput on radio bridge and to minimize power consumption. A trajectory reconstruction algorithm, implementing the Kalman-filter technique, allows obtaining real-time body tracking using only inertial sensors. Thanks to a graphical user interface it is possible to remotely control the system operations and to display the motion data. Following this detailed design procedure it is possible to reproduce this platform easily adapting it to your own aim.

Abstract: The dependable and efficient operation of transformer is based on the materials used and the detection system. It is an attempt to meet rising costs while maintaining the growing demand for the optimization of electrical energy into matter. One of the possible ways to do this is to use better materials. The use of better materials in the transformer core led to a significant improvement of the lifetime and reduces various losses. The size of the machine was successively for a given classification KVA through better core material. This work attempts to trace the development and use of different materials which have made their impact on the performance and cost.

Abstract: Nowadays most of accidents happen due to drunken Conditions. Most of the countries are forcing the motor riders to wear a helmet, but rules are being violated by users. To overcome this situation a safety system has been embedded inside the “Intelligent Protective Helmet” where a circuit working reader will be installed inside the bike. When this reader will sense the RF signals from helmet transmit signal only if helmet is placed on head because of hidden switch which gets activated and helmet transmits the RF Signal and the signal detected by IR sensor from the earlobe region and an alcohol sensor will be transmitted to the vehicle control circuit. It will not turn on the vehicle. There will be micro switch mounted on helmet in all four directions. If accident occurs then GSM receiver inside the reader circuit will automatically transmit the co-ordinates of accident to the emergency control room, from where immediately ambulance can be dispatched to location of accident which can save life of victim.

Abstract: In this paper, a technique is proposed to prevent the Sybil attack on LEACH protocol in WSN. An optimized path is obtained when Sybil attack occurs on LEACH protocol during routing using an optimized algorithm. The proposed technique is based on Bee Colony Optimization (BCO) that helps to prevent the attack. The parameters chosen for the work are True Positive Rate, False Positive Rate and Detection Rate. The Detection Rate obtained using BCO is 96.5%. It also includes comparison with previous prevention methods of Sybil attack based on Detection Rate. The whole result simulation has been taken place in MATLAB environment.

Abstract: Migration to wireless networks from wired network is global trends since last few years. Since the self configuration and without infrastructure in nature Manet is preferred in so many applications. Mobile Ad hoc network is a collection of wireless nodes forming a wireless network without infrastructure. In Manets all the nodes are communicating with each other via bidirectional links either directly or indirectly. Compared to other networks mobile Ad hoc network is more vulnerable to various types of attacks. A new intrusion detection system is designed for Manets by the adoption of MRA scheme named as enhanced adaptive acknowledgement (EAACK). EAACK is a capable of detecting maliciousness in the network also EAACK has overcome the attacks of watchdog, ACK and two ACK. In this paper the study of enhance security detection system for dissolving malicious nodes and attacks on mantes. Due to some special function of Manets only prevention is not good for managing the secure networks. In this case detection should be focused as another part before an attacker can damage the structure of system.

Abstract: Multilevel inverter is used in applications that need high voltage and high current. The topologies of multilevel inverter have several advantages such as lower THD, lower EMI generation, better output waveform and higher efficiency for a given quality of output waveform. This paper presents the development of Altera FPGA as a control circuit for multilevel PWM single phase inverter. The FPGA chip produce 16 control signal for 9 level output voltage. Cyclone FPGA chip is a programmable logic device develop by Altera and can be considered as an efficient hardware for rapid prototyping. FPGA chip is chosen for the hardware implementation of control circuit is due to its high computation speed that can produce accurate control signal. Internal architecture of control circuit embeds in FPGA are described in detail. VHDL language is used to model the switching strategies and Quartus II software is used as a simulation and compiler tool. These inverter topologies with filters would have reduced harmonics and can operate at high efficiency.

Abstract: New paradigm describes about the sufficient benefits of electronic control systems over traditional systems with network architecture on a central processor and it describes about preventing the accidents that are caused by driver errors, to implement it a suitable standardized protocol, CAN, is briefly explained. A major task is to find a way to make it possible to use standardized network modules from different distributers in a network specially designed for a specific vehicle or for an implementing platform. A solution to this problem is to designing a formal set of rules of "CAN Environment" and the basics for this are presented. This alerting system consists of the coordinatingand display of data which are not dependent of each other and remotely executed. The data collection module receives data through CAN wire, and the data display module GLCD display these data via GUI designed by Embedded in ARM7 processor. Temperature sensor and different IR based sensors are used as data collection faculty and GLCD, motor and buzzer is used as output faculty. The CAN protocol is briefly presented and its current and future scopes in automobile industries are discussed.

Abstract:  The main  concept of  a  multilevel  converter is to  achieve  higher  power by using a series  of    power semiconductor  switches with several  dc source to perform the power conversion  by synthesizing  a staircase voltage waveform. In this paper, 3- level and 5- level diode clamped inverter topologies and SPWM technique has been applied to formulate the switching pattern for inverter that minimizes the harmonic distortion at the output.

Abstract: The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card-sized single-board computer developed by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. It has a Broadcom BCM2835 system on a chip (soc), which includes an ARM1176JZF-S 700 MHz, Video Core IV GPU, and having 256 or 512 megabytes of RAM. It does not include a built-in hard disk or solid-state drive but uses an SD card for booting and long-term storage. Raspberry-pi hosts web server in local network. So, when user get connected with web server, user can control devices interfaced with R-Pi. R-Pi based web server can be used in various application areas for exp automation, monitoring and control system etc.

Model A has one USB port and no Ethernet controller, and costs less than the Model B+ with four USB ports and a 10/100 Ethernet controller. Though the Model A does not have an 8P8C (RJ45) Ethernet port, it can connect to a network by using an external user-supplied USB Ethernet or Wi-Fi adapter. On the model B+ the Ethernet port is provided by a built-in USB Ethernet adapter.

Abstract: As we know the company has many steps to carry out during the distribution process. This project aims to lower the manpower used in these steps in terms of color based distribution. As we have seen the company uses many packaging schemes to ensure that their product is transported to the respected shop with security of preventing it from undergoing any sort of damage. But again a company has many sorts of products to be classified. These products can be classified as per their content. So basically a company uses various color packaging to distinguish between them. Coming back to this project, the main aim of this project is to differentiate these different colored packages so as the manpower required over that process is minimized to almost zero.

In this project we will use the technique of image processing to differentiate the different colored packages. To do that we have to use certain equipments that can control the flow of current as we are working on low power here, then we need some regulators and capacitive filters to direct the exact amount of power to our microcontroller that will differentiate the colors using Image Processing. After the microcontroller has recognized the color of the package we will direct the different colored packages to their respective conveyor belts. Then we may collect the goods and transport them as per the requirement of the dealer.

Abstract: Traffic management is the critical issue of the road. Traffic lights play an important role in the traffic the existing traffic lights follow the predetermined sequence. So these lights are called static traffic lights. These traffic lights are not capable to count the number of vehicles and the priority of the vehicles on intersection point. As a result some vehicles have to wait even there is no traffic on the other side. The vehicles like Ambulance and Fire Brigade are also stuck in traffic and waste their valuable time. The proposed system provides quality of service to Emergency vehicles and improves the accuracy of Automatic Traffic Light Violation Detection system.

Abstract: In modern power system many protection equipment are connected in complex network. They are interconnected   with each other. The rising demand of power and difficulties of constructing a newly transmission network causes the power system to be complex and stressed. Due to the stress in the power system there is a chance of losing the stability following to the fault. To reduced this problem use Flexible Ac Transmission System (FACTS) devices which is uses power electronics components to maintain controllability and capability of electrical power system .After introducing the facts technology, power flow along the transmission lines becomes more flexible and controllable .Facts devices (i.e. TCSC, SVC, STATCOM, AND UPFC) are able to modify voltage, phase angle and impedance at particular bus in a power system.  (UPFC) Unified power flow controller is more popular device. It has enhances the control method using advanced semiconductor switching. It can absorb and release real and reactive power.  It has emerged for the control and optimization of power flow in electrical power transmission system. The aim of the paper is to maintained voltage, magnitude, phase angle and Power factor. Simulation result will be carry out in MATLAB/ SIMULATION software and check it performs.
