Abstract: In this paper, we present the concept of transmitting power without using wires i.e., transmitting power as microwaves from one place to another is in order to reduce the transmission and distribution losses. This concept is known as Microwave Power transmission (MPT). We also discussed the technological developments in Wireless Power Transmission (WPT). The advantages, disadvantages, biological impacts and applications of WPT are also presented. Wireless power or wireless energy transmission is the transmission of electrical energy from a power source to an electrical load without man-made conductors. Wireless transmission is useful in cases where interconnecting wires are inconvenient, hazardous, or impossible. the proportion of energy received becomes critical only if it is too low for the signal to be distinguished from the background noise. With wireless power, efficiency is the more significant parameter. A large part of the energy sent out by the generating plant must arrive at the receiver or receivers to make the system economical. The most common form of wireless power transmission is carried out using direct induction followed by resonant magnetic induction. This article gives you important guidelines for the preparation of a research paper for publication in Research Publish Journals. Abstract: A CAM compares input search data in parallel against a table of stored data and returns the address of the matching data. A BCAM stores and searches only “0”s and “1”s. A TCAM can store and search an additional state, called “don’t care” so that a TCAM can perform partial matching. CAM offers high search speed in a single clock cycle, so CAMs are much faster than other search systems. Therefore CAMs are used in a wide variety of applications. Due to its parallel comparison 46% of power is consumed by the ML sensing structure and 21% of power is consumed by SL sensing Structure, so TCAM is power hungry. As power consumption and search speed are the critical challenges faced by TCAM designs. In this paper different circuit level techniques for ML sensing schemes and SL driving approaches are reviewed.

Abstract: Minimizing power consumption is vitally important in modern circuit designs. The internal components should be designed in such a way that they consume low power with high speed. Flip flops are the storage elements in all digital design but, consume much power due to static and dynamic power dissipation and clock skew. The main idea is to introduce the design of high performance pass transistor flip flop which acquires less area and transistor count. In the existing method, an extremely low power flip flop named topologically compressed flip flop is proposed. As compared with conventional type FFs, the FF reduces power dissipation by 75% at 0% data activity. The reduction is achieved by merging the logically equivalent transistors to the unconventional latch structure. In order to reduce the transistor count and power consumption, a new method static pass transistor logic (SPTL) is introduced. The SPTL will be reducing the transistor count and power dissipation. The high performance of SPTL is designed and the simulation has been carried out on Tanner EDA Tool. An experimental chip design with 40 nm CMOS technology shows that almost all conventional FFs are replaceable with proposed FF while preserving the same system performance and layout area.

Abstract: Presently, there are good positioning systems for drilling tools but the challenging problem is that accuracy of positioning drops as the speed of operation of the system is increased. This paper obtained the dynamical model of the drilling tool positioning system. To improve positioning accuracy, a lead phase digital compensator was designed and added to the original plant or process to improve the transient response of the system in other to achieve a settling time of less than 12 seconds.  The compensator parameters were obtained using MATLAB tuning tool and the entire design accomplished with the time domain analysis method. A digital controller with maximum overshoot less than 29% , a rise time of 1.59 seconds with a 2% criterion and a settling time of 8.8 seconds was obtained.

Abstract: We have developed an HDTV that adopts semiconductor lasers involving three primary colors, red, green and blue for the light source. The adoption of a laser light source helped us realize a HDTV with a dramatically wide color gamut, namely 190% the color gamut of ITR-U BT.709. In addition, we have also developed an LSI that can deal with an extended color space xv YCC, which is a new international standard, and mounted the LSI in the HDTV. The display of colorful and natural video pictures has been achieved through the effective use of the wide color gamut involved in the laser light source supported by a video signal processing circuit that complies with the xv YCC standard and Natural Color Matrix, a color management.

Abstract: The project introduces a real-time monitoring system for a patient who enters in an ambulance in an emergency condition and an intelligent traffic system for efficient transport of ambulance for saving the life. The system is made up of three sub-systems: patient physical states data acquisition through communication system based on Zig-bee technology, and hospital monitoring control centre and an RF based traffic control system. Since a patient or a person who injured in an accident enters inside an ambulance, the patient physical states data acquisition and communication system monitors the main physical parameters and movement status continuously. The information from data acquisition system is sent to hospital monitoring centre by wireless communication module (Zigbee is used in demo). The monitoring centre receives the information from each patient and the doctor can diagnose the patient according to the continuous data and take necessary actions before he come in to the hospital. The system also contains an intelligent traffic control which is more efficient than present system by providing maximum support for emergency vehicles like ambulance. The information about the arrival of ambulance is read by the RFID reader at the signal junction and the traffic system dynamically adapt for clearing the route for ambulance.

Abstract: An electric vehicle is an automobile that is propelled by one or more motor using electric energy stored in batteries or another energy storage device .Generally major disadvantage with lithium-ion battery in electric vehicle is that the time required to recharge the batteries is approximately 1 to 3 hours. In this project we planned to reduce this defect by introducing a recharging technology by making use of a super capacitor and a regenerative braking system. It taken backs the wasting energy during braking to the capacitor or battery and reduces the energy. Nowadays the electric vehicle won’t be a good choice for long trips, this can be solved by our regenerative charging system since it increases the distance travelled by 50%.The control strategy of regenerative braking plays an important role in maintaining the vehicle's stability and recovering energy Electric vehicles with regenerative braking can also perform Significant reduction in air pollution and optimum utilisation of energy.

Abstract: Digitally Addressable Lighting Interface (D.A.L.I.) is a technical standard for network-based systems that control lighting in buildings. The aim of this project is to design and implement DALI in a real time environment. In this project, the work is carried out using a system consisting of a PSoC microcontroller and a PIC microcontroller. The PSoC controller performs the main function, receiving & processing the input and sending the data to the PIC controller. The PIC microcontroller performs the function of controlling the brightness of the bulb. A Zero Crossing Detector (ZCD), used to read the frequency of the microcontroller and trigger the circuit, is connected to the PIC microcontroller for operation of the system. The bulb i.e. the load, which is an A.C load and the controllers, which operate on a D.C supply are separated from one another using an isolation circuit. The input from the user to control the brightness levels is done using a 4-wire resistive type touch screen as the digital communication device. This entire system is incorporated twice for the control of two different loads, or incandescent lamps.

Abstract: Power quality is one of the major concerns of present era. It has become important, especially with the introduction of sophisticated devices, whose performance is very sensitive to the quality of power supply. Power quality problem is an occurrence manifested as a nonstandard voltage, current or frequency that results in failure of end use instruments [1]. Two major problems dealt here are the power sags and swells. Sensitive industrial loads and utility distribution networks all suffer from various types of outages and service interruptions which may result in a significant financial loss. To improve power quality custom devices like DVR are used. The dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is a cost effective solution for the protection of sensitive loads. The DVR, with its excellent dynamic capabilities, when installed between the supply and a critical load feeder, can compensate for voltage sags and swells. The dynamic voltage restorer consists of a voltage source, a voltage source inverter, an injection transformer and a control system. The performance of the DVR depends on control technique involved. The control system involves a PIC microcontroller and discrete PWM pulse generator [3]. The role of DVR to compensate load voltage is investigated during different fault conditions.

Abstract: Today’s world is facing deficiency of getting the regular power. In order to cope up with this demand load shedding is done. This paper presents the solution to overcome/limit the problems regarding power contingencies, load shedding, failure in providing sufficient power towards the load center, etc. by distributing the load in three categories low, medium, high. This paper contains the controller which is used to check the load demand and as per set value it will turn on/off the load. In this paper the ZIGBEE is used for data transmission as well as communication between transmitter and receiver as per IEEE 802.15.4 Standard. The controller is programmed in such a way that, the supply to load will never be zero. To overcome the problem of power distribution this paper provides an overview of wireless sensor network by managing the equal power distribution by using Zigbee network sensor.

Abstract: The use of wireless products has been rapidly increasing their popularity in the last decades, similarly minimum shift keying (msk) is one of the most popular modulation methods in this wireless communication system .the technique for occupying less bandwidth and power for a given probability of error, Gaussian minimum shift keying (gmsk) modulation scheme is used in the project. the project involves the designs of communication system which is transceiver this transceiver system includes transmitter and receiver blocks. Abstract: Technology has seen major change in last decade, because of rapid growth in the automation sector. We have to provide access to technology to all sorts of people. It is observed that healthy normal people are easily able to take good advantage of upcoming technology. But it is the poor, the disabled who are not able to take advantage of the upcoming technologies. So it is our motive to provide access to new technologies to the poor, handicapped, disabled etc.  It can be done by introducing technologies into daily objects they use or work with. So we decided to introduce a new technological development which is used by handicap person. Designing a Motion Controlled wheelchair for handicap person is our major objective. The head movement of the user along the x-y axis will now drive the wheelchair. We are controlling the wheelchair movements using Microcontroller Atmega8 as it is easily available and very popular in the market. The primary sensor we are going to use is the accelerometer who’s output will be the microcontroller’s input which will drive the motor-driver circuit so as to drive the motors to move the wheelchair. Various methods have been proposed for allowing disabled persons, including a quadriplegic to control a motorized wheelchair. There are proposed methodologies in recent times which involve various gestures like hand gesture, accelerometer & voice controlled, EEG based system etc. A. Head Gesture In this paper, they utilized the acceleration data to recognize the hand gestures and then transfer the gesture information which indicates certain motion commands into the wheelchair's smooth motions. It's a trial method to realize the natural interaction for the older and handicapped with the wheelchair through the hand gestures [4]. B. Accelerometer and Voice Controlled This work describes a wheelchair for physically disabled people & developed it using voice recognition kit and MEMS motion sensor. A user dependent voice recognition system had been integrated in the wheelchair. In this way they had obtained a wheelchair which can be driven using both motion and voice commands [5]. C. EEG System This system proposes two control modes: Use of the gyroscope Emotive EPOC headset in order to detect head movements.

Abstract: This paper proposes the multimodal biometrics system for identity verification using four traits i.e., face, fingerprint, iris and signature. The proposed system is designed for applications where the training database contains a face, iris, two fingerprint images and/or one or two signature image(s) for each individual. The final decision is made by fusion at “matching score level architecture” in which feature vectors are created independently for query images and are then compared to the enrollment templates which are stored during database preparation for each biometric trait. Based on the proximity of feature vector and template, each subsystem computes its own matching score. These individual scores are finally combined into a total score, which is passed to the decision module. Multimodal system is developed through fusion of face, fingerprint, iris and signature recognition. This system is tested on IITK database and the overall accuracy of the system is found to be more than 97% accurate with FAR and FRR of 2.46% and 1.23% respectively.

Abstract: In time-domain synchronous OFDM (TDS-OFDM) system for digital television terrestrial multimedia broadcasting (DTMB) standard, the baseband OFDM signal is up sampled and shaping filtered by square root raised cosine (SRRC) filter before digital-to-analog converter (DAC). Much of the work in the area of timing synchronization for TDS-OFDM focuses on frame synchronization and sampling clock frequency offset recovery, which does not consider the sampling clock phase offset due to the up sampling and SRRC filter. This paper evaluates the bit-error-rate (BER) effect of sampling clock phase offset in TDS-OFDM system. First, we provide the BER for M-order quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM) in encoded TDSOFDM system. Second, under the condition of the optimal BER criterion and additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel, we propose a near optimal sampling phase estimation criterion based on frequency-domain response. Simulations demonstrate that the proposed criterion also has good performance in actual TDS-OFDM system with channel coding over multipath channels, and it is superior to the conventional symbol timing recovery methods for TDS-OFDM system.
