Abstract: Columns are considered one of the most important structural elements in buildings; they transfer the load directly to the foundations. thus, their exposure to any variables or any extreme conditions such as fire may cause the collapse of the building as a result of buckling of columns.

The main objectives of this research are to investigate the effect of using the steel fiber reinforcing polymer on the strengthening of circular R.C Columns after exposure to fire. In the experimental program, the volume fraction of steel fiber, strengthening FRP area and method of Strengthening using FRP on the specimens varied in order to determine the effect of these variables on the specimen strength and axial displacement.

The experimental program consists of ten reinforced concrete short columns. A column was tested as a control column without steel fiber and without fire, nine columns with different percentages of steel fiber in the mix (0, 0.5%, 1.0%, and 1.5%) by weight, three specimens of the nine were tested only without fire, and six specimens were exposed to fire. then the columns were strengthened with glass fiber with strip of width (100mm, 200mm) respectively.

Experimental results indicated that adding steel fiber by different volume fractions increased the load carrying capacity of the reinforced concrete columns.

Abstract: Floating columns are very common these days and are adopted to increase the built up area on the floor. Floating column can be considered as structural vertical irregularities in buildings and it is highly undesirable in building built in seismically active areas. This paper presents the comparative study of behaviour of irregular building with floating column and is compared with construction sequential analysis. The crack width calculation is also done on transfer girder in order to check for structural failure. The study is subjected to gravity loads includes the analysis of irregular building with internal and external floating column .The analysis is done by using ETABS software by equivalent static method. The outcome of this analysis will help to understand how the behaviour of structure’s response with Construction Sequence Analysis and conventional analysis with vertical discontinuity and mass irregularity in the structure.

Abstract: This paper focuses on the Local Binary Patterns and its various important variants. LBP is a non-parametric descriptor and used to extract, analyze, recognize and classify the different modality images. It summarizes the local patterns of image characteristics efficiently. LBP and its many extended versions have been extensively used in numerous applications of computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition and biomedical field in recent years. Very discriminative and computationally efficient local texture descriptors based on local binary patterns (LBPs) is studied, which led to significant progress in applying texture methods to different problems and applications. The efficiency and usability of the LBP operator and its success in various real world applications has inspired the development of much new powerful LBP variants. In this paper, the important extensions of LBP using local structure of the image are extensively reviewed.
