Abstract: Despite the ban on silicone gel breast augmentation in 1992, the last decade experienced a remarkable boost in the number of cosmetic breast enhancement treatments carried out in the United States. Inning accordance with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, over 132,000 ladies in this country underwent the treatment in 1998. This is an underestimate of the actual number of breast augmentations carried out each year, as increasing numbers of non-surgeon physicians are now performing cosmetic surgery. Provided the rising variety of females who now look for cosmetic breast augmentation surgery, it is likely that women's doctor will be asked by their patients about breast enhancement. This evaluation is designed to offer an introduction of the psychological and medical literature on cosmetic breast augmentation. We start with a history of breast augmentation, consisting of a summary of the controversy of silicone breast augmentation and the Institute of Medicine's report on their safety released in 1999. We also talk about the psychological characteristics of breast enhancement patients, evaluating both postoperative and preoperative studies. We conclude with recommendations for future research study as well as a conversation of the clinical importance of this area for women's healthcare specialists.

Abstract: The diaphragm, the most essential muscle of ventilation, develops negative intrathoracic pressure to initiate ventilation. Innervated by cervical motor nerve cells C3-C5 via the phrenic nerves, these two nerves offer both sensory and motor function to the diaphragm. With contraction, the cone-shaped muscle of the diaphragm decreases intrapleural pressure during inspiration and consequently helps with motion of air into the lungs. Diaphragmatic paralysis is an unusual, yet underdiagnosed reason for dyspnea.We provide 3 cases of symptomatic diaphragm paralysis where a clear clinico-pathologic diagnosis could be determined, specifically a vascular compression of the phrenic nerve in the neck caused by an adherent or tortuous transverse cervical artery. We suggest that vascular compression of the phrenic nerve in the neck may occur following iatrogenic or terrible injuries, and lead to symptomatic diaphragm paralysis.

Abstract: Reticulocyte count is one of the most common blood test that used to diagnosis of hematological abnormalities and activity of bone marrow. Tuberculosis is a major of a big health problem in the world especially in Sudan, This study done in Rabak teaching hospitals During January to April 2016.

Method: Case control study One hundred patients of tuberculosis and one hundred age and sex matched healthy controls, after individually filled the informed consent.

2.5 ml blood samples were taken in ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid (EDTA) treated tube and Reticulocyte count was done manually by microscopy of new ethylene blue stained blood films.

Result: The results showed Reticulocyte count was highly non significant in TB patients when comparing with the healthy person with P value 0.692 for reticulocyte count.

Conclusion: Most of the patients showed no relationship between reticulocyte and tuberculosis.

Abstract: We aimed by this review, to discuss the recent concepts in the diagnosis and treatment modalities of Lichen planus (LP), also overviewing the clinical features of this dermatological disease which will support the diagnostic procedures. Computerized search was performed using following databases; CENTRAL, PUBMED, MEDLINE, and EMBASE. for all published studies concerning Lichen Planus up to March, 2017., using the term ‘‘lichen planus’’, and searched PubMed, using the Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) term ‘‘lichen planus’’ and free-text words such “diagnosis”, “pathogenesis”, Clinical features” and “ treatment”. We restricted our search to only English published articles with human subjects. Topical corticosteroids are regularly utilized for LP. Betamethasone valerate, fluocinonide, and clobetasol-17-propionate are the only corticosteroids with adequate evidence to recommend a greater helpful effect than placebo in the treatment of LP. Short-term use of oral corticosteroids for flare-ups in OLP might be advantageous.

Abstract: This review study was aimed to discuss and highlight the most common complications of dental malocclusion next to the diagnostic procedures in defining which type of malocclusions well as the treatment approaches used in such dentoskeletal disorder. A comprehensive search was conducted using several databases and the most important ones are; (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Embase, Medline, and Cochrane databases). All studies concerning the dentoskeltal malocclusion published up to March, 2017 was included, Study eligibility criteria were the application of diagnosis of malocclusion and treatment as well as dental or skeletal outcomes of treatment.  Based on the approaches applied and the outcomes achieved, it is reasonable in conclusion that the Twin Block device provided terrific effectiveness for modification of Class II malocclusion in growing individuals. Most changes were of dentoalveolar nature with a significant component of dental inclination associated with a considerable skeletal result on the mandible. The intraosseous buccal displacement of the canine was significantly related to hyperdivergent vertical skeletal connections, tightening of the former area of the maxilla, as well as crowding in the top arc. Abstract: The present study was aimed to overview the Supernumerary teeth in children in general and from specific aspects such highlighting the diagnosis procedures and techniques used in dental practice, also discussing the evidence supporting the management options of ST in children. Comprehensive review was conducted using evidence published in several electronic databases such; PubMed, Embase, and Google scholar, up to March 2017. This study is based on a review of the current dental and medical literature related to pediatric dental diagnosis and management of supernumerary teeth, the search was performed using following Mesh Terms: “Pediatric, Children, oral surgery, supernumerary teeth”.  Supernumerary teeth are existing as well as reasonably common a range of problems. The clinician ought to have comprehensive knowledge of signs recommending the visibility of supernumerary teeth consisting of non- or postponed eruption, modifications in the eruptive pattern, diastema development, midline change, and also crowding. On appropriate diagnosis, early treatment is called for in the form of orthodontic or medical therapy and also mix in order to reduce undesirable negative effects to the creating dentition.

Abstract: This research work was carried out in Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH), Jos, Plateau State. Nigeria - to assess the knowledge, attitude and perception of nurses on the legal implications of negligence in nursing practice. The objectives of the study is to ascertain the incidence of negligence among nurses, to determine factors responsible for negligent act among nurses, to determine the level of nurses’ knowledge on what constitute patient’s bill of right, to assess the nurses’ knowledge of legal implication of patient’s negligence, to determine the attitude of nurses towards legal implication of negligence and lastly to determine nurses' perception of legal implications of negligence.

Method: A sample size of 96 was used, using a random sampling technique. Results from this study were analyzed using frequency/percentage and presented in tables, bar charts and hypothesis tested using chi-square.

Results: The result reveals that 84%(81) of the respondents are aware of what negligence is, 85.4%(82) and 83.3%(80) said that lack of communication by a nurse to a physician and shortage of registered nurses respectively are factors leading to the occurrence of negligence. The study further revealed that majority of the nurses were informed about what constitute the patient’s bill of rights. From the result, all 96 respondents are aware that confidentiality of health information as well as respect/non-discrimination is inclusive in patient’s right. 84(87.5%) further said access to emergency management is inclusive. 83(86.5%) respondents are aware of the legal implications of their actions, 90(93.8%) respondents said they know that they are liable to be punished for negligence while none of the respondents said they are not liable to be punished. 94(97.9%) respondents said that they have positive attitude to clients as a result of the implication of negligence. All 96 respondents said their attitude towards carrying out procedures is highly influenced by legal implications of negligence. The result further showed that 78(81.3%) respondents  think that being punished for negligent actions improve the standard of care rendered to clients while 75(78.1%) of respondents think that punishment for negligence will improve professional conduct.

Conclusion: The study concluded that most of the nurses in Jos University Teaching Hospital are knowledgeable on the legal implications of negligence and maintain a positive behavior towards their patients as a result of having a good perception of what may result for their negligent acts. Efforts should be made by the government and health management agencies to curb the factors noted to contribute to negligence e.g. shortage of registered nurses, lack of communication by a nurse to the physician.

Abstract: Allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis represent a global health problem, affecting 10%–25% of the world population. There is clear evidence to support the concept that allergic diseases are influenced by genetic predisposition and environmental exposure.  The main objective of this study to identify the role of environmental factors in development of allergic rhinitis among children in Jazan Region, Saudi Arabia. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study used a modified used the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Children (ISAAC) questionnaire. Results: The total study population was 1400, most of them were Saudi 1273 (90.9%) . Male students were 840 (60.0%), and female were 560 (40.0%). According to the residency 811 (57.9%) students were lived in rural, 64.7% of them were male, and 589 (42.1%) of participants lived in urban area. Most of the students lived in plain area 840 (60.0%), and only 16.4% of them lived in mountain area, which 63.5% of them were male. Elementary school students account 54.1% of total students; about 63% of them were male. The prevalence of life-long sneezing and nasal block without cold (AR-related symptoms) was 27.1%. This study listed about 13 environmental risk factors Conclusion: A wide range of environmental factors have been observed in JR: as indoor and outdoor aeroallergens grass, weed, shrub and tree pollen, moulds, house dust and storage mites, insects and dander from domestic animals, rodents and farm animals.

Search was involving studies published up to February, 2017 with language restrictions to English language. Abstract: Interleukin receptor associated kinase (IRAK)- 4 deficiency is a rare disorder of primary innate immunity. Anecdotal evidence has existed for more than a decade and although major pathogens are bacteria, rare instances of infection with fungi and opportunistic organisms have also been reported. We report a case of a female infant presenting with recurrent bacterial infections with Group B streptococci and Pseudomonas aeruginosa secondary to IRAK-4 deficiency.

Abstract: The aim of this review was to discuss the Gaucher disease from different aspects, and highlight the treatment options for the symptoms and consequences following this disease. Comprehensive computerized review was conducted using several databases such; Medline, PubMed, Embase, to find relevant studies published up to March,2017, discussing the treatment options of Gaucher disease, we limited our search for English language articles, and references lists of those articles were reviewed for more relevant studies that could have support our review. Oral medicine that inhibits glucosylceremide synthase (substrate reduction treatment) as well as may partially raise glucocerebrosidase enzyme task (chaperone mediated treatment). Research studies showed that miglustat did boost the biochemical end results of patients with mild to moderate type 1 Gaucher during clinical trials varying from 6 to 36 months, however there wants proof to show if treatment will maintain both professional and also biochemical results over a long-term duration, or on its performance in dealing with the bones and preventing severe elements such as pulmonary hypertension.

Abstract: The aim of this review was to assess the safety and efficacy and evaluate the effectiveness of incisional hernia prevention during open bariatric surgery by using mesh replacing procedures.

A computerized search was performed using following databases (Embase, Medline, Web-of- Cochrane, CINAHL) on March, 2017. Searching evidence concerning with mesh placement for prevention of hernia after bariatric open surgery, we consider only English language articles, with human subjects on our review. Furthermore, we reviewed the references list of each identified article for more evidence to be included in present review. Hernia formation after surgical procedures remains to be an essential source of medical morbidity. Incisional reinforcement at the time of the initial procedure has been utilized in some patient populations to minimize the risk of succeeding rupture formation. Proof sustain the prophylactic prosthetic injury enforcement in open bariatric surgical treatment that defend against incisional hernia development without considerable difference in mean operative time, wound-related issues, or health center keep. Abstract: Consanguineous marriage is a marriage between two individual close to each other genetically, which increase the probability of offspring to get recessive traits or any inherited diseases.

Due to increased prevalence of inbreeding in Jazan we decided to work on this study to assess awareness of the community about this issue and it’s consequences and figure out the rate of consanguinity among jazan university students.

The study can help to raise the awareness in the community about the seriousness of the relative marriages and its relation to different genetic diseases.

Study method and design: By using a cross-sectional study, the study sample selected by Randomization from both sex in Jazan community at the age (18-30) in different Jazan university colleges. We interviewed them by using a specially designed questionnaire. The data were analyzed by SPSS program.

Study results: The result of awareness were (42.25%) among students and the consanguinity was (66.7%) especially with the first degree that shows (49%) comparing with the other degrees the results indicate low awareness about this issue and high consanguinity.

The results of presents of diseases in students and their families show different numbers between different diseases, 47 (11.7%) of the students answered that they have inherited diseases, 118 (29.3%) of the students answered that their brothers or sisters have inherited diseases and 243 (60.3%) of the students answered that their relatives have inherited diseases.

Conclusion: The aim of this research to study the awareness about consanguineous marriages and it’s inherited disorders and the prevalence of consanguinity among the students and their parents.

The result shows that the awareness of students was low comparing with the standard values which is below the 50 % 

The prevalence of consanguinity among students was high especially with the first degree.

The presents of diseases in students and their families show different numbers between different diseases, the highest rate was sickle cell anemia was found in the students, brothers and sisters and their relatives. The lowest disease was cleft palate was found in the students and relatives and does not found in their brothers and sisters.

Recommendation: Premarital test is very important to avoid the inherited disorders specially the autosomal recessive, so the community need more data and awareness programs about the importance of this test.

Due to the low rate of the awareness among students about inherited disorders of consanguineous marriages, especially non-blood diseases, we suggest to do awareness campaigns to mention the most non-blood inherited disorders to increase their awareness.
