Abstract: Snake Bite is a common medical problem worldwide specially in Saudi Arabia, because of the geographical distribution that combines deserts and mountains which is favorable for deferent types of Snakes.

It is important to know that Snake Bites has a wide range of presentation starting from redness and pain till life threatening conditions. We present a 23 years old male patient who had a Snake Bite and he presented with Compartment Syndrome which is an Emergency Case, followed by discussion on the case.

Abstract: Stress is a general response of individual to various environmental stressors. The reach to damaging dimension of stress can cause to the emergence of many diseases. Nowadays, stress which has become an important part of business life, is a factor faced everyday of employees especially in the health sector. In this study, the results were evaluated by measuring blood samples and vital signs of health staff at various times, so the biochemical, physical and psychological reactions shown in the face of stress were determined. STA-I (State Anxiety Inventory) and STA-II (Trait Anxiety Inventory), filled by the health staff at intense working hours and rest times were analysed. Among the observed findings that were defined as statistical significant were evaluated. Though the limitation has become due to the biochemical and vital evaluations were not analyse at the same hours, biochemical effects caused by the fatigue have become significant findings. It is required to examine elaborately the stress factors by effects of working conditions on health staff.

Abstract: Summary: The assessment of awareness was done in 150 Saudi female in Al-Ahsa above 18 years age, without osteoporosis. The mean score of the total score of the questionnaire was 6,9 out of 13 questions . There is a need for educational intervention programs to increase the awareness about this health problem. Purpose: Osteoporosis is preventable disease and its affect the female more the male. Our study aimed to assess the awareness about Osteoporosis among Saudi females.

Abstract: Low bone density and chronic bone aches pain of unknown causes are common in sickle cell disease (SCD) adult patients. Chronic bone pains, osteoporosis, bone fractures, and muscle weakness can result fromvitamin D deficiency (VDD). Previous reports indicate a relation between VDD in SCD; however, the clinical correlates have not been well described. We therefore did a cross sectional survey to assess whether there is any correlation between Vitamin D deficiency and bone pain in patients with SCD.

Results: Our results showed significant association between bone lesions and pain. However we could not demonstrate the correlation between VDD and bone pain in patients with sickle cell disease as the data was not available.

Conclusions: We therefore suggest Clinicians attending SCD patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain should be aware of and screen for markers of bone turnover to detect the extent of VDD.

Abstract: Awareness of breast self-examination among nursing students is very crucial nowadays because nurses play a vital role in bringing changes and creating awareness in community and susceptible group, with this health of student nurses and nurses is also important. As breast cancer is commonly seen in females to prevent this & early case detection & treatment breast self-examination awareness is must.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: To Assess Effectiveness of Planned Teaching Program on Knowledge Regarding Breast Self-Examination Among Nursing Students of Sumandeep Nursing College.

MATERIAL AND METHODS: The Pre-Experimental design approach: A Pre-test, Post-test design is used in this study on 60 nursing students by simple random sampling technique.

RESULTS: The findings indicate variable such as family type(x2=20.176) is found to be significant at 0.05 level of significance. While other variables are non-significant. Thus it can be interpreted that there is significance association between pre-test levels of knowledge among B.sc nursing students with their selected demographic variable

CONCLUSION: According post-test knowledge score 80% have good knowledge and 20% have average knowledge and no one have poor knowledge which was higher than pre-test knowledge score range. According to pre-test 68.3% were having knowledge level as average, while 28.3% had found with good knowledge has level and other 3.3% found with poor knowledge. The mean post-test knowledge score (17.6333) also was higher than the mean pre-test score (12.7833). There was significant difference in knowledge scores regarding breast self-examination among 1st year B.sc nursing students Sumandeep Nursing College, Pipariya, Waghodia, Vadodara. Thus H1 is accepted.

Abstract: This study was designed to assess the quality of life of staff and prison inmates, the quality of life and health challenges with strategic plan on how to improve the quality of life of both the staff and the inmates. Exploratory design was used to identify and describe the quality of life of the respondent. The research was carried out at the maximum prison, Abeokuta, Ogun State with the staff and inmates of the prison as the target population. Data on quality of life of staff and inmates were collected with the use of structured self – administered questionnaire which consists of sections A, B and C. section A elicit questions on their current health status. Sections B and C inquire the medical needs and socio – demographic characteristics respectively. The data collected were analyzed through descriptive statistics presented by means of frequencies and percentages using SPSS version 17. A total number of 300 subjects were assessed comprising of 271 inmates and 29 staff. The average age range is 26 – 29 years. The findings showed that most of the inmates and staff have a number of health challenges ranging from loss of sleep, lack of concentration, depression to anxiety disorders with limited resources to cope with them. However, most of the respondents were highly mobile with good appetite and sound sense of hearing. The study reveals need for better care and support for the inmates and provision of well equipped well stocked facility. A repeat of the research is advocated for other prisons in the country to ascertain whether or not the quality of life is the same.
