Abstract: Family planning is one of the most cost-effective investments that a country can make in its future. Family planning services in developing countries have benefited economies and quality of life, with 885 million women of reproductive age delaying pregnancy. However, 214 million women worldwide have an unmet need for contraception. In Jamaica, unmet need represents 7.2%. 

The aim of this research is to highlight the best practice approach used in enabling proficient improvement in Jamaica’s Contraceptive Logistics Management Information System (CLMIS).

Eighty-one facilities were targeted; 78 sampled with the use of proportional stratified random method. Data were collected over 18 days during the month of February, 2019. This was done by trained staff of the National Family Planning Board (NFPB), with assistance from regional parish representatives, using the Logistics Indicator Assessment Tool (LIAT), which comprised a 37-item interview guide. Data were analysed via SPSS, featuring measures of central tendencies and Chi-Square Inferential Statistical Procedures.

The prevalence of stock-out of contraceptive methods had significantly declined from 65% and 85% in 2013 and 2015 respectively to 20% in 2019 - mainly condom (13%) and Microgynon (5%). Such progress is indicative of: increased availability of the key contraceptive methods for women who desire family planning and delayed pregnancy; standardisation of stock management records; capacity building of healthcare professionals in inventory control procedures/contraceptive forecasting methodologies; sound monitoring and evaluation. Improvement is evident in records management in all the facilities that has been sampled.

Conclusion: Jamaica’s Population Planning and Development Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Programme has established prescribed best practices for CLMIS which has seen significant improvement in forecasting logistics management, storage conditions, and record-keeping (Register and Logbook) throughout the public health regions.

Abstract: A quasi- experimental study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of ginger juice intake on decreasing the Nausea and Vomiting level among antenatal mothers. The study was undertaken in Saravana Hospital Cuddalore. The study objectives were to assess the pre test and post test level of Nausea and Vomiting among antenatal mothers, to determine the effect of ginger juice on Nausea and Vomiting among antenatal mothers, to associate the pre- level of Nausea and Vomiting with selective demographic variables. The convenience sampling technique was chosen for selection of samples. The sample size was thirty the pretest level of Nausea and Vomiting assessed. The ginger juice preparation was given for the period of one week in twice a day and after a week post test level of Nausea and Vomiting assessed. The data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The result indicated that in pre test out of 30 samples, majority of 20(66.7%) of antenatal mothers had great level of Nausea and Vomiting and 6(20%) of antenatal mothers had severe level of Nausea and Vomiting. In post test 17(56.7%) antenatal mothers had mild level of Nausea and Vomiting and 13(43.3%) of antenatal mothers had moderate level of Nausea and Vomiting. In pre test mean was 21.03 with SD 4.089 after the administration of ginger juice preparation the mean was 7.867 with SD 3.401. The paired t’ value was 26.917 at the level of p<0.001. The study result of the study was concluded that ginger juice intake was effective in decrease the Nausea and Vomiting level among antenatal mothers.

Abstract: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a condition that is quite common in the age of the work, the risk of CTS high in work involving pressure high exposure, high strength, repetitive work, and tools that vibrate Physical factors involved and studied extensively in work-related CTS include repetition, force, posture, external pressure, and getaran.Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a mono-upper extremity peripheral neuropathy, caused by compression of the median nerve as it passes through the carpal tunnel to the wrist. The research objective To determine the prevalence of carpal tunnel syndrome in adults in Sanglah General Hospital. This research is deskritifobservasional using cross-sectional approach to determine the number of cases of carpal tunnel syndrome in the General Hospital Sanglah, Denpasar Subjects in this study were all patients with carpal tunnel syndrome in the General Hospital Sanglah, Denpasar, Bali since January 2012 to December 2014. Looking at the data by age and gender who have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome most in the age group 41-55 years of 41.7%, by gender showed that patients with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome most in the female gender by 62 , 5%.

Previous studies have shown that when examining the levels of Malondialdehyde (MDA) in women who have reached the age of menopause, an increase in MDA levels can usually be observed. One of the food ingredients that is rich in antioxidant is the skin of red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus), so it is hoped that the skin of red dragon fruit can be a source of phytoestrogens that can play a role in improving MDA levels in menopausal women. This study aims to determine the effect of ethanol extract of red dragon fruit peels (Hylocereus polyrhizus) on the levels of Malondialdehyde in menopausal model rats. This study is a purely experimental study. A randomized post-test only control group design research was conducted on 30 female Wistar rats. The study sample was divided into the control group (P0), the ethanol extract of red dragon fruit peels at a dose of 60mg / 200grBB group (P1), and the ethanol extract of red dragon fruit peels dose 90mg / 200grBB group (P2). The highest MDA Plasma / mm level was found in group (P1), 2,789 µmol / L, followed by P2, 2,157 µmol / L and (P0) with a mean of 1,944 µmol / L. The results showed that there is no significant effect of ethanol extract from red dragon fruit peels on Malondialdehyde Levels in menopause model rats.

Abstract: One of the main contributing factor to skin aging is oxdative stress. Previous studies showed that antioxidants are necessary for inhibiting the process of skin aging due to oxidative stress through antioxidant properties and inflammation inhibition. Duwet (Syzgium Cumini) which is planted in Indonesia is know to have high concentration of antioxidant. The aim of this study to assess Duwet ethanol extract cream effects on number of Langerhans cell on the dorsal skin of male Wistar rats exposed to UV-B. This study is purely experimental research. A post-test only control group design research was conducted on 30 male rats. Group were divided into control (P1), placebo (P2), 5% (P3) , 10% (P4)  and 20% (P5) Duwet ethanol extract concentrations. The control, placebo, 5%, 10% and 20% shows significant result to (p>0.05). The mean difference of P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5 was 26.00, 50.00, 48.0, 52.67 and 58.00. This study show that Duwet ethanol extract cream can preserve the number of Langerhans cell.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the overview of musculoskeletal complaints in several body parts on the roof factory workers in Pejaten village, Kediri district, Tabanan regency. This research was a descriptive cross-sectional study with sample gathering method using cluster design. The subjects were male and female roof workers with a lifespan of 20-60 years who already worked in the roof factory at least 1 year. Total subjects counted in this study were 52 peoples. To record musculoskeletal disorder in several body parts this study using Nordic Body Map questionnaire. The result showed that the prevalence of musculoskeletal complaints among roof factory workers was 100%. Musculoskeletal disorder were complaint among roof workers in several body parts such upper neck, lower neck, shoulder, upper arms, back, upper waist, lower back, buttocks, elbow, forearms, wrist, hand, thigh, knee, calf, ankle, and legs. Abstract: Stress level in medical students are still considered high in both first year and final year students. Stressor or causes of stress in students can be due to academic life, especially from external demands and their own expectations of themselves. There are also different demands in both levels, such as adapting to university life and academicals demands during final years. The aim of this study is to measure the differences of stress level between first year and final year medical students in Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The design of this research is analytical with cross-sectional. Overall, the factors that contributed to stress are difficulty in understanding theories (p=0.006), conflicts with friends (p=0.049), difficulties in handling emotions (p=0.000), problems with lecturers (p=0.021), problems with campus facilities (p=0.000) and problems with noise levels of classes (p=0.000).

Abstract: Block periodization, also known as strength-power periodization (SPP), is a training method for high performing track and field athletes. Sprinters and field athletes, in particular, require explosive techniques as well as variation in their training. This is done through sequential concentrated loads and constructed phases of training which include separate hypertrophy and strength phases. This literature review highlights the benefits of block periodization for track and field athletes as opposed to other methods of periodized training in to improve explosive strength.

Abstract: The idea of delivering drugs through skin is old, as the use is reported back in 16th century B.C. A skin patch uses a special membrane to control the rate at which the liquid drug contained in the reservoir within the patch can pass through the skin and into the bloodstream. Many drugs that not having desired parameters for penetration their penetration enhanced with incorporation of the penetration enhancers. Metoclopramide hydrochloride which, is used as dopamine receptor antagonist antiemetic. short half-life ,low dose and low melting point, and their respective properties makes Metoclopramide hydrochloride good candidate for the Transdermal drug delivery. The laminated transdermal films of MCP prepared with different grades and ratios of Eudragit RS-100, EugragitRL-100, HPMC-E5 and EC holds potential for transdermal delivery of Metoclopramide hydrochloride and evaluation study has been done. A 3² factorial design was applied to prepare transdermal film of Ethyl cellulose Eudragit RL100, Eudragit RS-100 polymer as membrane and incorporation of drug in hydroxyl propyl methyl cellulose film as a matrix and to study its effect on evaluation parameters. In order to understand mechanism of drug release, in vitro permeation data were treated to kinetic models and linearity was observed. The correlation coefficient obtained from Korsemeyer Peppas as best fit model, r value was found to be 0.9903(F7), 0.9885(F8) and 0.9948 (F9). The optimized patch F9 the required patch size calculated, 25.10 cm² patch is required to get desired concentration of drug.

According to Design Expert Software formulation F9 was the best formulation having cumulative amount of drug permeated 3.79 mg/cm², 99.43 drug content  109.75 Tensile strength and moisture content and moisture uptake 2.24 and 2.47 respectively.

From the formulation F9 formulation is the best formulation with desirability factor 0.678 and drug release is 66.97%

Abstract: Aspirin with clopidogrel is a standard therapy for acute coronary syndrome and percutaneous coronary intervention. DAPT (dual antiplatelet therapy) effectively inhibit platelet activation and reduce ischemic stroke compared to antiplatelet monotherapy. However, DAPT carries an increased risk of bleeding like intracranial haemorrhage. The use of DAPT over long term determines the major systemic bleeding events. Physicians should assess benefits and risk with DAPT over monotherapy in ischemic stroke patients.

Abstract: Speaking is a crucial part of second language learning and teaching. Second language learners are incompetent in oral communication. Secondary school students encounter great difficulties in speaking skills. Learning to speak a foreign language needs more than knowing its grammatical and semantic rules. Therefore, this study aims at investigating the speaking difficulties which encounter students at secondary stage in Misurata, Libya. It seeks to analyze the problems and factors that negatively affect their speaking skills in order to help them avoid these problems and find solutions. The research method adopted in this study was a descriptive one. This paper deals with some factors that hinder students to communicate and factors related to teachers and their role in teaching speaking skills. These obstacles will be described in details with some helpful and useful recommendations for teachers and educators to assist the students to speak the target language. The data was gathered through two questionnaires which were given to teachers of English and students at secondary schools to elicit their views concerning teaching and learning speaking skills. The samples consisted of 25 teachers and a hundred students. The samples have been chosen randomly from five secondary schools in Misurata city. The results revealed that the students do not practise speaking skills both in and out-side classrooms due to: the time is not enough to teach all the aspects of language, lack of motivation and fear of making mistakes, lack of self-confidence, possession of limited vocabulary, and their poor backing-ground experience, students are not tested during the studying school year. Most oral activities on text- and workbooks are skipped to be taught.

Abstract: Tension type headache is one of the most common types of primary headaches in the world. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between the duration of the use of electronic devices against TTH complaints in students. This research is a cross sectional analytic study conducted at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The data obtained are primary data using a questionnaire based on the classification of headaches according to ICHD-3 which has been modified and analyzed with the Pearson-chi square test. The total sample of 179 from the Medical Education study program. The results showed that 51.4% of respondents complained about TTH complaints and 48.6% complained of other headaches (NTTH). There is a relationship between the duration of the use of electronic devices in the form of mobile phones to the tension headache type (p <0.05).
