Abstract: Background:  The pharmacy profession played a critical part in the frontline healthcare response to COVID-19. Community Pharmacetics are often the initial point of contact for credible information and guidance for many people with Covid-19-related questions or health concerns.

Methods: Pharmacist's and the pharmacy workforce can play an important role in preventing the spread of coronavirus Covid-19 by create an emergency plan and workflow, conduct thorough staff training and improve patient education.

Results: Pharmacists provide reassurance to the general public so that individuals can safeguard themselves and others based on strong scientific facts and sensible action.

Conclusions: pharmacies play an important role not only in ensuring access to medicines and medical devices, but also in public health, such as informing the public about preventative measures, advising about behavioural precautions, and risk assessment, early detection, and referral of individuals suspected of being infected.

Abstract: Background: Accurate laboratory results are critical for patient safety and enhancing medical diagnosis. The use of strict aseptic techniques by healthcare workers when obtaining blood specimens is an important factor in reducing errors.

Methods: Internal quality control procedures, objective analytical quality criteria, and the availability of Proficiency Testing (PT)/External Quality Assessment (EQA) programs have enabled clinical laboratories to assess, monitor, and improve analytic performance

Results: The interface between the laboratory and the clinical user to provide education and technology solutions to correct any laboratory error.

Conclusions: To ensure that patients and other users have faith in the services delivered, the laboratory must take responsibility for "end-to-end" quality control, including remedial action to address the core source of error in the total tests process (TTP).

Abstract: Average Length of Stay (ALOS), Average Preventable Readmission Rates (APRRs), and Average Total Cost of Care (ATCc) were examined to see if any relationship exists among the variables. Secondary data from the Texas hospital data collection database was used for the study. Out 379 acute care hospitals in Texas, 65 hospitals were selected for analysis using a G*Power analysis. Demographic analysis, Spearman’s Rank correlation, and Regression Analyses were conducted to explore the relationship. The results of the Spearman’s Rho correlation showed a significant negative relationship between ALOS and ATCc [ALOS – ATCc (r_s = - .271, p = .016)], and for APRRs and ATCc, there was no statistically significant relationship [APRRs – ATCc (r_s = .065, p = .564)]. The multiple regression analysis showed there was no statistically significant relationship between the variables [ALOS – ARRs – ATCc (F (2,62) = 1.584, p = .211)]. The results showed that ALOS and APRRs do not necessarily predict ATCc. Consequently, based on the study results ATCc is not solely determined by ALOS and APRRs. The absence of a significant relationship between ALOS, APRRs, and ATCc does not necessarily indicate inefficiency in practice or lack of effectiveness. The results showed that there are other mediating factors impacting care that were not assessed in the study. These factors are to be examined carefully in future studies to better understand the complex relationship between ALOS, APRRs, and ATCc. An understanding of these complex dynamics may inform managerial strategies and help with critical clinical and fiscal decisions in a healthcare setting.

Abstract: Children are viewed as the foundation of a powerful country. Even though they are so young, children have the power to positively impact the country. Given that the future of the nation rests with them, they are the responsible citizens of the future.

Objectives: The objectives of the study are to determine the relationship between the socio-demographic characteristics of parents of children under five and the Pre-Test knowledge scores, as well as to gauge the effectiveness of the Self Instructional Module (SIM) in raising the knowledge of child safety among parents of children under five.

Methodology: Pre- and post-test research design was the method chosen for this investigation. A handy sampling strategy known as non-probability was modified to choose the samples for the proposed investigation. A sample of 50 was chosen from every parent. The same questionnaire used for the pre-test was utilized for the post-test, which was given seven days following the self-instruction module that preceded the pre-test. The investigator in this study employed a structured knowledge questionnaire to gauge parents' awareness of child safety issues for children under five.

Result:  According to the computed t value, which was (t=2.05) substantially higher than the table value (t=1.68) at the 0.05 level of significance, the study found that there was a significant difference between the post-test knowledge score of parents on child safety.

Conclusion: The study's conclusions demonstrated that SIM was successful in raising parents' awareness of child safety.

Abstract: Back ground: A series of life-saving procedures known as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, increase a victim's chances of survival after suffering a cardiac arrest. Patients requiring post-cardiac arrest care should be treated using a complete, organized, integrated multidisciplinary system of care that is applied consistently. The ultimate aim of the resuscitation system of care is the recovery to a previous functional and high-quality state of health.

Aims: To assess the knowledge regarding Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation among 2nd year GNM students in selected Nursing Colleges at Bangalore Method: The study involves a descriptive design; non-probability convenience sampling technique was used. 130 students studying in 2nd year GNM students were selected. A structured knowledge questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. Result:  The result revealed majority 89 (68%) are 19-20 years, 27 (21%) are 18-19 years and 14 (11%) are 21-22 years of age group. maximum 84 (65%) of students are female and minimum 46 (35%) are male. maximum of 106 (82%) don’t have previous knowledge of CPR and a minimum of 24 (18%) have knowledge on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation. 16 (12%) got information from Friends, 62 (48%) respondents from mass Media, 37 (28%) respondents from Self-reading and 15 (12%) respondents got knowledge from health personnel. Interpretation and Conclusion: The study revealed that students of 2nd year GNM students have moderate knowledge regarding Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.

Abstract: Background: According to the NFHS-4 report the perinatal and neonatal mortality in India was 36 per 1,000 childbirths and 29.5 per 1,000 live births and 16 per 1,000 births in urban areas to 28 per 1,000 births in rural areas. The majority 80% of fetal deaths occur in the antepartum period due to fetal hypoxia/distress. About 40% of neonatal deaths occur on the 1st day of life, almost half within 3 days, and nearly three-fourths in the 1st week these can be prevented by monitoring fetal wellbeing during pregnancy.

Aims: To assess the knowledge regarding selected biophysical measures of fetal wellbeing among GNM internees in selected schools of nursing at Hassan.

Methods: An evaluative one-group pretest and posttest pre-experimental design. With the purposive sampling technique, 50 samples were selected from the Mangala School of Nursing and the NDRK School of Nursing at Hassan. Data was collected by using the structured knowledge questionnaire with 46 items. The reliability of the tool was found to be 0.94. Computer-assisted Teaching Programme was implemented and a post-test was conducted after 7 days to find the effectiveness of the data analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. 

Results: Regarding the effectiveness of CATP, the overall mean percentage of pre-test knowledge score was 30% and 79.7% in the post-test with the enhancement of 49.5% and it was significant at the 5% level. Analysis of socio-demographic variables showed a significant association between family income with post-test knowledge scores at a 5% level (p>0.05).

Interpretation and conclusion: Overall findings showed that pre-test knowledge scores were found to be 30% and after CATP, knowledge of GNM internees was enhanced by 49.5% of selected Biophysical measures of fetal wellbeing. Hence the result has proved that CATP was effective in improving the knowledge of GNM internees on selected Biophysical measures of fetal wellbeing.

Aim: was to determine utilization of health information among healthcare workers, and Assessing the relationship between health information utilization and job satisfaction/performance of healthcare workers.

Methods: A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining qualitative interviews and surveys to A diverse sample of 300 healthcare workers, including 100 physicians, 100 nurses, and 100 allied health professionals to ensure gathering data from healthcare professionals across different specialties and settings

Results: There is a strong positive correlation observed between information utilization and job satisfaction aligns, Physicians, in particular, exhibited a noteworthy correlation (r = 0.75, p < 0.001), emphasizing the pivotal role of health information in shaping their job satisfaction levels.

Abstract: Pemphigus Vulgaris (PV) is a mucocutaneous blistering disorder characterized by pathogenic autoantibodies against desmogleins 1 and 3. The etiology of pemphigus vulgaris is unknown, but patients are at risk that has a genetic predisposition. Several studies have linked PV with human leukocyte antigen (HLA). In addition to diet, stress, viral infections, medications, radiation therapy, and allergens, environmental factors may induce immune dysregulation, leading to a flare of PV. Systemic corticosteroids have significantly impacted the treatment of pemphigus vulgaris and remain the backbone in the management of PV. Anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab and ofatumumab, have also been used with corticosteroids for first-line treatment in moderate-to-severe pemphigus. This study aims to review the efficacy of corticosteroid (CS) versus rituximab for PV.

Abstract: Flap technique is a technique commonly used for reconstruction of various types of skin defects from defects that occur only in skin tissue, to skin defects that are large and extensive and involve multi-tissues. V-Y flap technique is part of the advance flaps. This technique is performed by moving forward to close the defect without being rotated or moved laterally. The technique is simple, and the post operative process easy for both doctor and patient. A 14-year-old male patient came to the hospital's surgical polyclinic with the main complaint of pain in his right leg and an open wound after having a motorcycle accident. Localized status on the patient's right leg there is a round vulnus appertum with a diameter of approximately 3 cm, around the wound there are abrasions skin, bleeding (+), Edema (-), crepitus (-), basic of the defect is connective tissue, range of motion of the ankle and fingers on right leg is still within normal limits. The patient underwent debridement and reconstruction with a local V-Y flap advancement technique.

Abstract: Geopathic stress, a concept that claims that certain natural and artificial factors can disrupt the Earth's magnetic field and negatively impact human health, has been a topic of interest for many individuals and alternative health practitioners. This study aimed to investigate the potential effects of geopathic stress on various health parameters. The research involved a comprehensive analysis of existing literature, as well as a controlled empirical study. The literature review revealed that geopathic stress theories lack robust scientific validation, and the majority of health-related claims associated with these stress zones are anecdotal and speculative. Nevertheless, the study examined this concept systematically by employing a cross-sectional research design. A sample of individuals residing in areas purportedly affected by geopathic stress was compared to a control group living in geopathically neutral zones. Various health parameters, including sleep quality, stress levels, fatigue, and overall well-being, were assessed through standardized questionnaires and physiological measurements. Preliminary findings indicated no statistically significant differences in health parameters between the geopathic stress-exposed group and the control group. The results suggest that geopathic stress may not have a substantial, measurable impact on the health parameters investigated in this study.

In conclusion, this research contributes to the ongoing discourse on geopathic stress and its potential effects on human health. The study's findings align with the prevailing scientific consensus that questions the validity of geopathic stress theories. While further investigation and replication are warranted, the evidence presented herein suggests that other factors may have more prominent influences on the health parameters under consideration. This study underscores the importance of approaching health concerns with a critical and evidence-based perspective, particularly when addressing controversial concepts like geopathic stress.

Abstract: Background Pharmacists have made important contributions to patient care and are recognized as indispensable members of the interpreter team. Healthcare professionals have different perspectives and expectations regarding clinical pharmacy services. Very little has been published on the views of healthcare professionals on the role of advanced clinical pharmacy, such as prescribing agencies or vaccine regulators. In 2013, clinical pharmacy services were introduced to general and vascular surgery, where no pharmacist had previously been assigned. Objective To explore surgical nurses' and physicians' views and expectations of clinical pharmacy services and determine how these views have changed over time, comparing pharmacists' views of clinical pharmacy services with nurse and physician perspectives and development of validated survey instruments. Methods Three survey instruments were created and validated, one for each occupation. Surveys were distributed to nurses and physicians assigned to general and vascular surgery before implementation of the clinical pharmacy service and 8 months after implementation. Hospital pharmacists were invited to complete the survey at some point. Results There were differences in the views of nurses, physicians and pharmacists regarding some traditional practices.

Abstract: This study sought to examine the coping strategies used by undergraduate students to manage social anxiety in Zanzibar Universities. The study used descriptive cross-sectional design which was complimented by a mixed method approach. But in this objective only qualitative method was applied. propulsive sampling was used to obtain 20 respondents who were used to collect qualitative data.  In addition to that, qualitative data was obtained through semi-structured interviews from three key informants.  Upon accrual, qualitative data was analyzed by using content analysis process, thus, data was prepared and organized upon collection, data was then reviewed by the researcher, the researcher then created initial codes that were combined into themes, and lastly themes were presented in a cohesive manner as quotations. the findings of the study revealed that both adaptive and maladaptive coping strategies are used by Zanzibar undergraduate students in dealing with social anxiety. Adaptive coping mechanism used are: seeking counseling services available in university, managing negative thoughts, and emotion, facing one`s fear by taking risks while other students used maladaptive method such as isolation behaviors, substance abuse and avoidance of academic setting. The study concluded that social anxiety is highly prevalent among university students in Zanzibar and students are struggling with different coping mechanism which other affect their academic performance. Therefore, it was recommended as per findings that among others, instructors should be capacitated to identify and refer social phobic students for therapy.

Abstract:  “Physio Acupuncture: An Integrated Approach to Healthcare” Physio-Acupuncture represents an innovative fusion of two distinct therapeutic disciplines: physiotherapy and acupuncture.
