Abstract: Developing countries like ours where the growth in the education sector is almost in a geometrical progression while the requisite infrastructure to cater to this tremendous growth is not developed.  Teacher is back bone of education system. Teacher role encompasses teaching but not limited to teaching, various other administrative duties are part of routine. Development of work related musculoskeletal disorder (WRMSDs) in this population may have substantial impact on education system. To the best of our knowledge, no studies have explored the occurrence of different musculoskeletal complaints in college teachers. Therefore the aim of this study was to evaluate the frequency of WRMSDs in college teacher population. A cross-sectional design was adopted; The Nordic musculoskeletal questionnaire was used to assess self reported musculoskeletal complaints. College teachers (n=42) attending short term course on yoga for healthy mind and body by UGC human resource development centre and department of physical education University of Mumbai formed the population of this study. Quantitative data were analyzed in percentage form. We concluded from study neck pain is most common WRMSDs in college teacher population. Offering health promotion awareness programs may be suitable solutions. However, further studies are required to assess the relationship between WRMSDs and specific workload- related factors.

Abstract: This research paper looked into the effects of multidisciplinary approach such as cooperative learning, inquiry-based and scaffolding on the academic performance of the forty (40) Grade 11 students taking Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics enrolled in the first semester of School Year 2016–2017 at Bancal National High School. It made use of both qualitative and quantitative data. On the qualitative side, it probed into the realizations and feelings of the students enrolled in the course. These revealed by the students through journal writing, focus group discussion and interview for triangulation and analysis. Moreover, the six phases of Braun and Clarke’s thematic analysis were the bases for the analysis of the qualitative data. The results showed that the Grade 11 students had the following experiences using multidisciplinary approach: (1) lessons were easily understood, (2) developed critical thinking, (3) promoted positive behavior, social skills, and time management, (4) activities were challenging yet enjoyable, (5) stimulated learning through researches and investigations, (6) developed group dynamics. On the quantitative side, t-test was the statistical tool used in determining student’s academic achievements through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) Software. The statistical data showed that the academic performance of Grade 11 students in the pre-test was “Poor” which signified the low performance in Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics. On the other hand, the Grade 11 students achieved “Very Good” after multidisciplinary approach was utilized which means that there was an improvement in the academic performance of students taking the course. Furthermore, no significant difference was noted in the level of performance of the students before and after the intervention.

Abstract: Glaucoma is an eye disease that is the second most common cause of blindness in worldwide. The characteristic of glaucoma are high eye pressure, loss of vision gradually which can cause blindness and damage to the structure of retina. The damages which may occur for example are structural form changes of the Optic Nerve Head (ONH) and Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer (RNFL) thickness. Quantitative analysis of Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer (RNFL) via image processing of “Optical coherence tomography” images plays a major role in its early detection. The retinal ganglion axons are an important part of the visual system, which can be directly observed by OCT images. By using Entropy image processing method, extracted from the green and blue channel of OCT, images are correlated with corresponding RNFL thickness. Thus, this work aims to develop a system which will recognize the presence of glaucoma by the changes in the OCT image of an eye of a person and automatically quantify the RNFL defect using image processing techniques which aids in the diagnosis of glaucoma disease. Results show that , the performance of the Algorithm is appreciable compared with the clinical diagnosis.

Abstract: Child-parent relationship has undergone very significant changes in the recent past mainly due to the processes of globalization, modernization, industrialization, migration, social media and education. Earlier the child-parent relationship was harmonious and peaceful but now it has been seen as non-harmonious and conflicting and children show the signs of anger, confusion, frustration and aggression. Parental negligence, improper parenting and enforcement of parents leads to aggressiveness in a child. Neglectful parenting means dismissing the children’s emotions and opinions. Lack of proper parenting is the primary cause of violent and aggressive behaviour in children because it is the responsibility of parents to provide every basic need to child. The other reasons which make a child aggressive toward parents is poverty of parents, mental health problems of parents, financial problems of parents because parents cannot provide proper parenting to children which led aggression in children. Based on a sample of 200 respondents and using an intensive approach through the case study method, the study has been carried out in the rural and urban areas of Srinagar district of the Kashmir valley and aimed to trace the causes of child aggressiveness /anger and the effect of parental negligence, improper parenting and enforcement of parents on aggression of children. The author found that these variables were profound and the impact of parental negligence, improper parenting and enforcement of parents has a significant impact on aggression of children.

Abstract: The paper deals with the investigate about resistance inducing chemicals and silicon based nutrients for the successful sustainable management of rice sheath blight. Among the various treatments sheath blight disease incidence was effectively controlled by foliar application of SA1 (on 15 DAT(Days After Transplanting) @ 50 ppm) and PS2 (on 30 DAT @ 3 % ) during 2018 & 2017. It was followed by foliar application of SA1 (at 15 DAT) and SA2 (at 30 DAT) which recorded a disease incidence during both field trials.  The test fungicide Hexaconazole 0.1 per cent recorded also minimum per cent disease incidence on both field trials. The per cent sheath blight incidence was found higher in untreated control.

Abstract: The current study on rainfall erosivity is based on 8 years rainfall data which is representing thirteen rainfall stations along the Suruli river basin of Cumbam valley as well as their adjacent area too. The research objective is to control rainfall Erosivity pattern of Suruli river basin of Cumbam valley, where using Modified Fournier Index. The linear regression model has been created which relates with the monthly EI30 index of Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) and modified Fournier Index has been used for assessing the monthly rainfall Erosivity values.  The highest rainfall Erosivity recorded was 18670.5 MJ.MM/H/JR at Periyaru rainfall station. Whereas, the regression analysis was done with annual rainfall and annual rainfall Erosivity. The r2 value was found to be 0.117 which depicts the lesser correlation. Isoerodent map was prepared using the annual rainfall / annual rainfall Erosivity values and geographical locations of each rainfall stations around Suruli River Basin of Cumbam Valley. The according to FAO Erosivity class range shows that the southern part of study area is high erosive occurs.

Abstract: Tribal community in India is considered as the most vulnerable community facing isolation and social discrimination from the mainstream society. The Panchayats Extension to the Scheduled Areas Act in 1996 and the role of PESA act has the provisions to strengthen and promote the social development in these areas of tribal habitats. The institution of local self government has initiated a process of democratic decentralization in India and Indian democratic government with its constitutional provisions has provided many privileges to this particular disadvantaged group. Even if all these positive back up are there for the tribes, they could not seize this opportunities due to lack of awareness about the human rights and because of the ineffective implementation of the schemes and projects for the tribal empowerment. The concern of the study is to recognise the importance of the Oorukoottam, the part of local self government insituation at the tribal hamlets and to reaffirms the decentralized system of governance and participatory involvement of the tribal beneficiaries in the policy making and in the implementation process of tribal empowerment in Wayanad.

Abstract: Commercial banks in Kenya have undertaken restructuring so as to be more competitive, to restore bank solvency, to increase the banking sector capacity for financial intermediation and to improve financial performance. The main objective of the study was to investigate the relationship between bank restructuring, customer loans and financial performance of commercial banks in Kenya. The population of the study was the 44 commercial banks licensed and registered under the banking act to do business in Kenya. This study was able to gather information from financial statements of 39 out of the 44 commercial banks which were in operation for the period 2002 to 2014. Descriptive and inferential data analysis methods were used to analyze the secondary data gotten from the available financial records of commercial banks. The findings of the first model revealed that capital and asset restructuring were the only variables found to have significant influence on the performance of commercial banks in Kenya. In testing the customer loans as an intervening variable on the relationship between bank restructuring and financial performance, the study established that financial restructuring and capital restructuring were found to significantly cause an increase in the profit margin of commercial banks while operational restructuring and customer loans were found to have a significant negative effect on bank profits. The research concludes that the performance of most commercial banks in Kenya is determined through restructuring banks’ financial and capital ratios and that the customer loans of banks is a significant variable in influencing financial performance of all banks. The study recommends that there is need to institute policy reforms geared towards viable restructuring and that to continuously improve bank performance banks should encourage more borrowing and funds from shareholders and banks need to continuously focus on restructuring rather than customer loans.

Abstract: Childhood obesity not only increases the risk of obesity in adulthood, but is also a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and diabetes later in life. The subject of this case study was a 28-year old obese male who presented with a history of childhood obesity and cardiovascular risk factors (elevated homocysteine and TC/HDL ratio). He also had symptoms of acidity, flatulence, constipation with bleeding piles and complained of low immunity, low energy levels along with stress. The purpose of this case study was to determine the effect of an Integrated Approach, that included a healthy food plan, ayurvedic herb support, vitamins and dietary supplements, stress management and regular exercise programme, on the management of the patient’s health complaints. This treatment regimen also helped ameliorate his gastric complaints, lower his blood cholesterol, improve immunity, increase his energy levels and helped him lose weight significantly.

Abstract: The present paper introduces language technology efforts being made for Garhwali, one of the lesser-known and under-researched languages of India. Language technology developments have been initiated for Garhwali through the development of an English-Garhwali statistical machine translation system. This paper presents the development of the English-Garhwali SMT system and discusses evaluation studies carried out to assess the translation results of the system. The development of a machine translation system is hoped to encourage further language engineering efforts in Garhwali and the evaluation study is aimed to identify translation errors that can then be resolved to increase system efficiency.

Abstract: Applying chemical fungicides to control soil-born fungi may lead to environmental pollution. In recent years, microorganisms to control plant pathogens, to improve yield and quality of crop. Fungal species belonging to the genus Trichoderma act as biological agent.  Genus Trichoderma  effective biocontrol agent against fungal, bacterial pathogen. The fungal isolates Trichoderma harzianum (Tr01) and F. oxysporum (Fu04) was also identified through morphological characterization observed under light microscope (10x×40x). The isolates (Tr01, Fu04) were confirmed through genetic DNA isolation & PCR analysis. After that pot culture study was conducted to test the antagonistic potential of Tr01 against Fu04. Healthy seeds of maize (Zea maize L.) were used in this experiment, They are three different substrates (Rice bran, Black gram bran ,Sugarcane baggase )and soil, water  are used in the following ratio of 1:1:2. Nine treatments are T₁ Control, T₂ Trichoderma harzianum, T₃ Fusarium oxysporum , T₄Trichoderma harzianum + Ricebran, T₅Trichoderma harzianum +Rice bran + Fusaium oxysporum,T₆ Trichoderma harzianum +Blackgram bran , T₇ Trichoderma harzianum + Blackgram bran +Fusarium oxysporum, T₈Trichoderma harzianum+Sugarcane baggase ,T₉Trichoderma harzianum + Sugarcane baggase + Fusariumoxysporum.In pot culture after 45 DAI highest plant length for T₂ (80cm), highest fresh weight for T₆ (0.070), highest dry weight for T₂ (0.020) ,highest chlorophyll content T₄(9.8695).

Abstract: ZnO thin films (thickness ~441nm, crystal size ~19.6nm) were synthesized by a single deposition method using zinc-ammonia complex as main precursor. Effect of synthesis temperature on the morphology and phase purity crystallization was studiesdat three different temperatures (70, 80 and 90 °C)for fixed time (20 sec)using microwave oven. Phase identification, morphology and structural properties of the ZnO thin films were studied using diffraction, microscopic and spectroscopic techniques. The ZnO thin films prepared at 70ºC show amorphous character while 90ºC films are crystalline as indicated by sharp diffraction peak in X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern. Moreover, the surface morphology of the ZnO thin films strongly depend on deposition temperature. The optical characteristics of the samples were obtained by UV-Visible spectrophotometer at 200–900 nm wavelengths. The absorption at wavelength <370 nm indicates that the nano size ZnO nanoparticles have band gap energy of ≈3.4eV.

Abstract: The main scope of this research paper is to protect the information from the unauthorized usage by applying the Cyber-Physical System (CPS). It is implemented by classifying the data in multilevels through a secure multilevel classifier (SMC) based on Field Level Security (FLS) and Record level security (RLS) in the network, primarily for any network transactions. The core aim of this theme is to heighten the security with flip key and cryp key, for the data preserved in different encoded  locations and the evaluation of the performance of the data security through CPS.
