Abstract: The status of women is studied from various perspectives. The status of women is defined as ‘the extent of control that a person has over her life, derived from the access to social, economic, health resources and political power and autonomy enjoyed in the process of decision making’. The status of women is also the emulative result of past and present position of women in the society which indicates whether they have been subject to discriminate or not. As women status is a vast field with a multitude of indicators, mainly indicators of the status of women are economic, health, education, governance and crime against women. The present study is an attempt to analysis the disparities in the status of women in Haryana state at two point of time for the year 2007-08 and 2015-16.

Abstract: Numerous studies showed the relationship of academic performance and nutrition and wellness practices, but failed to indicate the correlation of academic satisfaction and nutrition. This paper aimed to determine the relationship between the two said variables. In addition, the researcher aimed to identify information concerning academic satisfaction and nutrition and wellness practices that may bring potential problems to students. This correlational research used Pearson correlation coefficient to determine the relationship of the variables. Sophomore and senior hospitality management college students completed an online self-completion survey (Google Forms) for data gathering. Most respondents were female with 49.11%, 80% of the college students were in the age of <20-year-old. The year level with the greatest number of respondents is seniors with 52.68%. The two factors have a correlation coefficient of 0.37, which results in weak positive correlations.

Abstract: For many years, human beings have had to pay attention to weather events while performing their work and activities during the day in order to make good use of time. Weather is the events that change in a very short time in the atmosphere layer. Apart from natural weather events, the effects of air pollution on human health, which are caused by the emission releases of homes, workplaces, vehicles and production centers as a result of industrialization, are gradually increasing. In this study, in order to obtain information about the local weather conditions, data such as precipitation amount, wind speed and direction, air pressure and temperature, and dust density in the air will be displayed to the users instantly via an iot-based microcontroller on a web page and the data can be monitored by printing them on a screen. In addition, it is planned to create a database by storing these data on an SD card.

Abstract: This article aims to offer didactic guidelines based on the use of Digital Storytelling in the classroom to deal with emotional and creative content. This study is based on the fact that current teaching must progressively adapt to the digital era, in order to offer students a quality education and meaningful learning. In addition, the development of all dimensions of the student is essential to achieve the correct training of the student. This proposal is focused on emotional and creative development, as a fundamental part of personal development and the acquisition of key competencies. Thus, we intend to show an effective technique to work in the classroom, through electronic devices, and in a transversal way with different areas of knowledge, the previously mentioned elements. Finally, it is important to note that this work is the result of a final degree project, and the main theorical findings are extracted from this piece (González García, 2022, p.1-46).

Abstract: Mind-heart-body is tightly intertwined. Anxiety is one of the most prevalent mental health issues during the COVID pandemic. Lyfas is a smartphone-based biomarker instrument that has been used as a CovidAnxiety Detector (LAD) where SD2/SD1 has been considered the key optical biomarker of anxiety and its other adverse health consequences. The objective of this study is to validate the efficacy of LAD with that of two gold-standard anxiety rating instruments – (i) 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) and (ii) 14-item Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A). A total of 1454 Indian adults (Male 955, Female 499) within the age group of 18-87 years (median and average age of 39.56 and 37 years respectively), divided into three age groups: 18-30 years, 31-50 years, and >50 years who were RTPCR positive took (i) GAD-7, (ii) HAM-A, and (iii) Lyfas tests daily till they became RTPCR negative (average span of 14 days). Internal consistency (α), Spearman’s rank correlation (r), Classification metric - sensitivity, specificity, precision, accuracy, fscore, and Youden’s index of LAD has been computed and finally, the inter-rater reliability between (a) LAD and GAD-7 and (b) LAD and HAM-A is measured with Bland-Altman Reliability Assessment. LAD shows high inter-rater reliability (i.e., the minimum proportional bias) around the mean difference with the Bland-Altman test, good-to-excellent internal consistency (>0.8 and >0.9, respectively), and high correlations (r>0.6) of LAD with GAD-7 and HAM-A in the 18-30 years age group. LAD shows high average accuracy (0.9953 and 0.9764 in males and females respectively), precision (>0.9), and Youden’s index (0.9976 and 0.8633), for males and females. Hence, LAD is a reliable and novel smartphone-based non-invasive and ubiquitous biomarker clinical instrument to screen and monitor GAD and its adverse consequences such as sudden cardiac death and suicide in adults, especially in the ongoing pandemic situations.

Abstract: Bullying is a form of peer violence in which one or more students constantly and repeatedly harass and assault one or more classmates, who are unable to defend themselves effectively and are generally in a disadvantaged or inferior position. Bullying stems from strong frustration coupled with poor restraint and repression of aggressive responses learned during the early socialization process. However, frustration may not lead to violence, but rather to problem avoidance, indifference and depression.The purpose of this study is to examine educational intervention programs to prevent bullying situations. This aspect is a fundamental element in managing and designing programs or educational actions within the framework of a school tutorial action plan. To this end, this work will be considered from a approach of paradigmatic and methodological complementarily, although prioritizing actions of psychology individual level to continue working with socio-cultural approaches at the group level.

Abstract: Experiential learning is indispensable and its joint role with academic institutions’ transformative power is mostly unquantifiable. The study argued that experiential learning is vital for venture creation among graduate entrepreneurs. A cross-sectional survey research design was adopted and data was collected from 406 graduate entrepreneurs in Lagos State 2021 of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 21A and Stream 1 Batch. The results revealed that experiential learning had a positive and significant effect on venture creation among graduate entrepreneurs in Lagos State (β = 0.290, t = 4.077, F(5, 385), p<0.05). As such, academic administrators and institutions should revamp the entrepreneurship curriculum and inculcate experiential learning through hands-on experience and field excursions to enable venture creation among graduates.

Abstract: The study sought to establish the influence green packaging on the performance of horticultural companies in Kenya. The study sought to find out the relationship between green purchasing and performance in the horticultural industry; establish the relationship between reverse logistics and performance in the horticultural industry; the influence of green packaging on performance in the horticultural industry; assess the relationship between green distribution and performance in the horticultural industry and analyse the moderating effect of value addition on the relationship between sustainable supply chain and performance in the horticultural industry. The study was informed by theory of reasoned action. The study adopted a descriptive research design while the target population was 236 horticultural firms in Kenya. A census was used whereby all the 236 firms included in the study. Questionnaire was used to collect the study data while the data was analysed through mixed analysis where both qualitative and quantitative techniques was used. Inferential analysis was used to establish the relationship between variables. The study found a positive relationship between green packaging and performance in the horticultural industry in Kenya. The study recommends that the management of the horticultural companies should embrace green packaging as a way of enhancing the effectiveness of their supply chain processes. This would ensure that they understand green packaging and challenges that come with the process so that they can fully embrace green packaging benefits.

Abstract: Betula is a versatile plant with several applications. D. Don (family Betulaceae) is a long-lived tree that has been known in Sanskrit for about 400 years as Himalayan birch, bhojpatra, or Bhurja. Its usefulness as a therapeutic plant is well acknowledged. Birch bark has recently been the topic of scientific study and industry given the presence contains triterpenoids including such betulinic acid as well as oleanolic acid, that are well for their anticancer actions. A new anticancer medication, betulinic acid promotes apoptosis in the cancer cells. Therefore, It was unique from other cancer treatments. A number of B. utilis species have been reported to contain phenolics as well as flavonoids. Suitable investigations were carried out to assess phytochemicals qualitatively using various solvents, as well as anticancer activities utilising the SRB test.

Abstract: Quantum computing technologies are poised to enable a wider adoption of emerging technologies. A significant factor for the potential increase in cyber conflict is technological evolution of emerging technologies. Being a leader in these technologies is of strategic economic and social importance to nation states while at the same time, it is creating significant national security concerns. This research identifies the current geopolitical framework affecting quantum computing and affected emerging technologies and correlates policy evolution. It surveys current proposals on cyber legislation and U.S. government policy since 1985 to address the challenges of establishing a unified legal framework over the modern arms race of quantum computers and other emerging technologies to explore potential solutions for the international governance over cyber warfare. Our findings exposed critical gaps in legal frameworks for policymakers who must plan how to effectively promote the development, application, and implementation of general-purpose quantum technologies to promote the larger economic and social benefits for their nation state, while simultaneously mitigating foreseeable risks to privacy, safety, security, and inclusion to prevent cyber conflict. We identify specific normative constraints for international accords to define acts of cyberwar: cyber-attacks on critical infrastructure, direct interference in or manipulation of electoral and political processes, and activities designed to damage the availability or integrity of the public core of the internet to bring policy into alignment with agreed upon norms. We examined the problem from a pre-emptive, non-proliferation perspective regarding quantum computing allied with international policy development. Instituting a unified legal framework involving quantum computers and exploring potential solutions for governance over cyber warfare is critical to reign in the modern arms race. Our research produced several primary findings on the character of and prospects for quantum computing legislation. It proposes recommendations for the international governance to mitigate the modern arms race of quantum supremacy implicating cyberwarfare.
