Abstract: Ondo state is blessed with a variety of potential tourist attraction that are of historical, culture and artistic values. There is a maze of creeks, rivers and lakes in the coastal area while lowlands, rugged hills and crops of few hills abound in the northern areas, all these are mapping entities which have not been put on map. Tourist map is significantly lacking in comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date in Ondo State. The study is to produce a digital Tourist Map of Ondo State, displaying tourist centres using Geographic Information System technologies. A well structured tourism database for Ondo State will also be designed and created. Recommendations would be made on how tourist maps could be cheaply produced and easily updated.

Abstract: Food Security has been an issue of global concern in the recent time. The present Federal Government of Nigeria places much emphasis on agricultural development. However, no meaningful Agricultural development can be achieved without a search for proactive strategies for food security. This paper looks at geospatial technology as strategy that will greatly meet the problems of food security in this country. The paper defines food security; it reviews the food security situation in Nigeria with the problems of food security. Consequent upon these problems, the paper discusses the application and benefits of this technology as tool for food security in Nigeria. The paper concludes that if the current democratic process will indeed yield dividends to the citizenry, the agricultural sector must be technologically revitalized and see as the most relevant of all.

Abstract: Chemicals no doubt have variety of uses and play key roles in the economy of a nation. While most people agree that chemicals are useful to man, there is consensus that chemicals – especially toxic chemicals equally pose grave danger to mankind and the environment he lives. There is therefore, a great need for the control of these chemicals. Different approaches have been adopted – both domestic and international. This article examines the effectiveness of these approaches.

Abstract: Cash waqf is a trust fund established with money to support services to mankind in the name of Allah. Cash waqf is important because it is created in the form of movable waqf (money) to establish liquid money in order to finance services and develop waqf property or to support and build an educational institution (schools or universities) or orphanage houses in the name of Allah s.w.t. In order to sustain cash waqf fund, numerous efforts should be carried out to ensure that the waqf fund is enough to finance the economic activity. One of the efforts that have a good potential in sustaining cash waqf is through strategic alliance between bank and university. The main objective of this paper is to identify the practice of strategic alliance between bank and university in Malaysia towards the sustainability of the cash waqf fund. This paper also aims to identify and to propose other initiatives that can be benchmarked by bank and university in Malaysia, in order to enhance the benefits of the strategic alliance. The methodology of this paper is a qualitative research through data analysis of secondary data from websites and previous studies, and also from primary data that has been gained from interview with Yayasan Wakaf Malaysia and Perbadanan Wakaf Selangor, that are related to strategic alliances in sustaining cash waqf fund. The study finding based on the two universities waqf fund shows that the strategic alliance between bank and university in Malaysia is based on the transaction collaboration, whereby bank act as the collecting agent to the university waqf fund. This study also finds that that there are other initiatives that can be benchmarked by bank and university in order to enhance the benefits of the strategic alliance between bank and university in sustaining cash waqf. The information on the strategic alliance between bank and university in sustaining cash waqf or waqf fund is scarce. Therefore, this study is expected to add some information on the related study in the future. Study on the strategic alliance between bank and university in sustaining cash waqf could benefit both parties which involve in the collaboration financially and socially. Other than charitable objective that can be achieved through the distribution of cash waqf to the beneficiaries, bank and university could also reducing cost in certain business activity like research and development through sharing of resources. The strategic alliance also could help bank and university in developing good image that would bring the sustainability of both organizations.

Abstract: Broderick and Blewitt (2010) have held that, teachers and school play a significant role in the psychosocial, intellectual and vocational development of adolescents. Teacher, being an ideal person in the school, ameliorates adolescents self, knowledge and skills through holistic educational program. Teachers’ earnest involvement and contribution in school based educational program enhance personality among adolescents. The paper has probed and evaluated teachers’ opinions about the Kishori Awareness Program-a school based Life Skills Education for adolescent girls in the Kannada Medium Government schools in Hubli-Dharwad. This study is based on the premise that for effectiveness of such programs, dedication and commitment of teachers is vital. The findings revealed that commitment and allegiance of teachers was rather low as they were not involved in any other phase of developing or evaluating the program, except its implementation. It is therefore recommended for the teachers’ involvement at all levels of program formulation or a thorough preparatory training to achieve their active participation and keen monitoring of their participation.

Abstract: In recent decades, the security of civil aviation has been threatened by new wave of terrorist attacks and other unlawful acts against commercial aviation with different motivation and purpose. The offence of unlawful interference against aviation security should be considered as a world's famous form of acts of terrorism in the world. international legal and regulatory regime concerning aviation security suffer from many deficiencies in the legal terms used in multilateral conventions, applicable scope of conventions, jurisdiction, nature of offence, extradition of alleged offender, enforceability of conventions, ambiguity in definition of offences, structural and conceptual weakness of existing international conventions, the difficulty to understand nature, scope and goals of new waves of criminal activities in the world, identification of serious threats and dangers concerning safety and security of civil aviation.

Abstract: Around the world, obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases are affecting the health and wellbeing of millions of people due to incorrect lifestyle like, unhealthy diet, sedentary lifestyle, stress, etc. Obesity can lead to many serious health problems like, heart diseases, diabetes, etc., which can cost millions to treat and can reduce life expectancy. Modern drugs for the treatment include appetite suppressants and lipase inhibitors, which has its own side effects. Ayurveda advocates healthy lifestyle through ahar, vihar, aushadh and different kind of karmas to prevent all kind of diseases. By following the lifestyle as described in Ayurveda, one can prevent himself from obesity and reduce its risk which will be discussed in full paper.

Abstract: Didactic strategies are groups of activities and procedures, which once integrated provide a logical sequence to accomplish educational objectives. These strategies becoming transcendental within interdisciplinarity in superior education. Therefore, the use of mathematical models for teaching blood bank subjects topics allows linking the theory of transfusion science with mathematics, supporting student’s conceptualizations and placing mathematics as a tool to describe and understand daily life and professional situations. Five models are presented for advanced blood banking courses, accomplishing the simulation, evaluation and prediction of blood unit’s requests and storage, as well as decision making in transfusion techniques protocols.

Abstract: This research examined the effects of domestic violence on students in University of Fiji. The main goal of this research was to identify the implications and problems of domestic violence faced by the students in the University of Fiji. Generally domestic violence at home is most prevalent among married couples as well as students which are the main focus of this research and it involves aggressive, violent behaviors that are more common in males other than females. The method used to collect relevant information based on Domestic Violence involves distribution of questionnaires to students, personal observations from point of view, and through mass media including newspaper articles and internet sources. It was revealed in the research that majority of females are the victims of domestic violence. Also most of the female students have experienced physical and sexual abuse. Most of the students also experienced stress, fear and tension including self- low esteem due to related problems of domestic violence. Therefore this research basically focuses on problems of domestic violence as well as how to strongly influenced the public to consider this problems and stop domestic violence.

Abstract: This study was conducted in Kolla Temben district of the Tigray regional state, north Ethiopia. The main aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between households’ adaptive capacity to climate change and food security status. Data on generic and area specific indicators of food security status, adaptive capacity and other factors were collected from 400 households and were statistically analysed. The study revealed that there was a statistically significant positive relationship between adaptive capacity to climate change and food security status. Rainfall fluctuation, small land holding, pest and insect infestation were found to be among the area specific determinants of household’s food security status in the arid and semi-arid areas of northern Ethiopia. The recommended solutions to improve household’s food security in the ever-changing climate were: institutionalize measures to improve household’s adaptive capacity to climate change; reverse household’s vulnerability level to climate change impacts through evidence based policy initiatives, and; revise existing system to deal with new infestations of pests. Policy decision makers should also give attention to climate change impact research to moderate damages related to climate change as the climate will continue to change for many decades regardless of the extent of global efforts on mitigation.

Abstract: This pilot study examines how shared interest savings groups (SISGs) within smallholder farming communities will continue to play a major role in achieving the goal of sustainable food security.  Our preliminary findings indicate that SISGS are an effective mechanism for bringing together farmers, farm families, suppliers, savings and credit schemes, transporters, processors, and marketers to collaborate in building value chains that assure a viable and sustainable local horticultural-based economy. Not everyone in a SISG is a farmer; but everyone is playing a part in creating, sustaining and scaling up a food-based economy.  SISGs are a vehicle for local agricultural research and training institutions to introduce new farming technologies and practices. There is a process of shared knowledge, mutual learning and trust among farmers, researchers and consumers as new technologies and practices are adopted and adapted that assure the growth and marketing of safe and healthy vegetables.
