Abstract: Aluminium Al 2024 alloy is widely applied in various Industries in automobile and aerospace sectors. This study reveals the effect of microstructure and mechanical properties with impact on heat treatment and aging process. Mechanical tests were conducted to study the behaviour of Al reinforced 2024 matrix composite produced through squeeze cast technique and heat treated to T6 Heat treatment process. Aluminum ingots were melted in a furnace and poured into mould cavity of 25mm diameter. Squeeze casted composites were heat treated as per ASTM standards, at a temperature of 525°C for 12 hours followed by a temperature of 300ºC for 8 hours. In order to examine the effect of heat treatment and aging processes microstructure and mechanical properties such as hardness, tensile strength were analysed in as-cast condition and after heat treatment and aging process. The properties were enhanced for the aged composites compared to as cast condition.

Abstract: In order to restrict the deterioration of the environment by industries, it is now mandatory to perform environmental audit as per Environmental Protection Act (II Amendment) Rules, 1992. The Environmental Audit is the key for sustainable development as it leads to waste minimization, pollution prevention and environmental management. This paper reviews fundamental aspects of environmental audit which is the need of today. High speed industrialization has focused mainly on the production and quality control with a minor concern on sustainable development with respect to the environment. Thus a potent Environmental audit will provide a true path to the industries to restrict the environmental damage. Proper implementation of the environmental management policies are the reflection of an effective performance of the industries. This paper gives a brief study of the manufacturing, waste production and waste treatment of pharmaceutical industries. “Indian pharmaceutical combine association (Ipca) Laboratories Ltd; Indore” was reviewed for its environmental policies and management.

Abstract: The Siberian region was considered one of the most neglected corners of the world in the past decade. But over the past years, particularly after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Siberia’s significant in the Russian federation has increased due to its location and its huge findings of oil and natural gas. The ongoing shift of economic and political activities to the East has put Siberia and the Russian Far east in the spotlight. Siberia is no longer on the world's outskirts yet near one of the focuses of the new worldwide request. Recent finding of huge energy resource has brought this region into mainstream political discourse. It is also serves as a corridor to the Asian-Pacific countries. It has emerged as one of the most promising regions of the world. Due to its resources it is significant to the Russian Federation as well as as the global economy. It has been projected as the future of Russian Federation. The involvement of America and Canada makes it more vital region. Moreover, the involvement of China, India, Japan, South Korea, Germany and France further enhances the importance of the region. So in this context, the present study is going to enhance the current knowledge pool in many ways. The present study will be focused on how Siberia is geostrategically significant to the Russian Federation and it will also analyse Russia’s State policy towards Siberia. Present study has analysed the geopolitical and geo-strategic significance of Siberia in the Russian Federation. Further it has analysed how Russian policy acquired a new orientation with the coming of Vladimir Putin. Moreover, due to its geographical contiguity with China, and proximity to the Pacific Ocean, Siberia has been viewed as an opportunity for Russia to gain entry to integrative processes in the Asian Pacific Russian.

Abstract: This study is an attempt to study "Establishment of aspects of cognition in learning English essay among students 5" based approach to hermeneutics. Therefore, this study was to investigate the application of cognition in learning to improve cognition when writing essays in English. Question study is to identify the formation of aspects of cognition in learning the Malay language essay which help students in writing essays. The study involved 30 students as respondents. Results of the study found that there are a variety of methods used by students to enhance their knowledge in English essay writing. Among the means used by the students are using the Internet and train yourself.

Abstract: Biopesticides are the integral components of integrated pest management which attain high momentum in recent years in organic farming activities. Insecticidal activity of aqueous and methanol extract of Catheranthus roseus were evaluated against an insect model Drosophila melanogaster along with determine extraction yeied.  The insecticidal activity assayed at various concentrations of both extract under the laboratory condition. The concentrations of aqueous and methanol extract causes 50% and 90% eclosion inhibition in test organism were determined by probit analysis. Both extract showed insecticidal activity and the highest eclosion inhibition were found in the methanol extract (EC50=126.86 mg/ml) than aqueous extract (EC50=364.29 mg/ml). No mortality observed in the control. The methanol and aqueous extract of Catheranthus roseus have potential to be used as biopesticide for the control of insect pest in the agricultural field with minimum retention in the environment.

Abstract: In this paper an attempt has been made to analyze the impact of HDI (for the three time points 2000-05, 2007-10 and 2011-15), Income Index, Educational Achievement Index and Health Index (for the two time points 2000-05 and  2007-10) on Below Poverty Line population (BPL) for fifteen major states of India. Double log model with ordinary least square technique is used here. The results show that all the four factors - HDI, Income Index, Educational Achievement Index and Health Index are contributing significantly to decrease the below poverty line population over time. The HDI elasticity of BPL population is increasing between the time points 2000-05 and 2007-10. Similarly, the income elasticity, educational elasticity and health elasticity of BPL population are also significantly increasing between the time points 2000-05 and 2007-10.

Abstract: Fly ash is considered as a waste raw material which is generated from gases that comes from coal furnaces, mainly of a thermal power plant. The demand of electricity supply has boosted up in this era due to increase in urban and industrial development. This advancement has also increase the counting of electricity producing plants i.e. Thermal power plants, which results in more coal burning and the amount of residue (fly ash) also run-up. Disposal of Fly ash is a big global issue today, because of its fineness and ultra-light weight it tends to mix with the natural clean air and create many respiratory problems to living beings. Sea Shells are natural coastal waste found on the coastline. They are the hardened skeleton of mollusks. Before using the Fly ash as an additive material in soil stabilization in various engineering projects, its engineering properties need to be investigated and improved using other materials as an admixture. Sea Shell powder derived hard naturally available Sea Shell which is rich in calcium is used with Fly ash as an admixture to improve its engineering properties. The clayey soil used in this study was procured from Bholath town in district Kapurthala in the state of Punjab. Fly ash was obtained from local batching plant situated in Alawalpur in Jalandhar and Sea Shells in its natural form were obtained from a Chennai based dealer. The aim of the present work is to find the optimum amount of Fly Ash and Sea Shell powder required to improve the engineering properties (CBR AND UCS) of Clayey soil. It was noted that an increment of 176% in CBR and 30% in UCS of clayey soil may be achieved if Fly ash and Sea Shell powder were mixed in clayey soil.
