Abstract: The study aims at to compare the water quality of lakes of Bangalore and Hyderabad cities. Balladur Lake and Osmansgar Lake were selected from Bangalore, Karnataka and Hyderabad, Telangana state respectively. The secondary data of water quality of the lakes was collected and analyzed. pH, Turbidity, Total Alkalinity, TDS, Calcium, Magnesium, Chloride, Sulphates, Nitrates, DO, BOD, COD were taken to study. The result of both Lakes polluted and it could be due to many activities such as saltation, infringement and eutrophication. Development of human population in last century was witnessed a comparable extension of city and urban lakes were converted as sinks for pollutants. Dense population was observed in metropolitan cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai etc. The effect of developed urban areas is the main factor degradation and loss of lakes in Bangalore and as result, in the city only 17 good lakes exist as against of 51 healthy lakes in 1985.Where as in Hyderabad, most of urban lakes were artificially created to cater to the domestic and irrigation needs. Later increased in human density, city culture demands and industrial growth effect significantly on the catchment areas and many were disappeared. Therefore, proper treatment and conservation strategies are to be adopted before discharge.

Abstract: Cognitive Radio (CR) is the key enabling technology which is used to sense, measure, learn, and be aware of the parameters of the radio channel, availability of power and spectrum, modulation schemes, radio’s operating environment, available infrastructures and number of active users etc. In this paper, a simulation framework of CRN is proposed which is based on NetSim Version 9.0 simulator. This framework can be used to investigate and evaluate the impact of operational interval on the performance parameters such as spectral efficiency, delay, Interference time, and throughput of the CRN. CRNs performance parameters such as spectral efficiency, delay, interference time, and throughput are evaluated over Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) using NetSim. This work also demonstrates some important network parameters such as packet transmitted, payload transmitted, and overhead transmitted. Individual Link throughput and application throughput are also demonstrated by enabling the real-time trace in NetSim at different operational intervals. These network performance parameters play an important role in real-time reliable applications. Analysis of the results demonstrate that the throughput and spectral efficiency increases with increase in operational interval. It is also demonstrated that the delay is decreasing with increase in operational interval.

Abstract: The major aim of the study is to conduct the comparative study on the overall perception of customers in Oman in terms of private and public transport services. It involves both qualitative and quantitative approach. As observed over last decade it has been observed that Oman is facing some problems such as traffic congestion in cities, low mobility, and high individual costs of transport. Above scenario is drawing government attention towards development of appropriate public transport systems. Moreover, there are quite a few private transport systems also available in Oman, which includes private taxis, school buses, some private transports especially for students who are studying in colleges and HEI’S. Further study includes collection of primary data from various sources, conducting interviews from various focus groups followed by critical analysis and formation of a statistical model. Later the model is analyzed followed by proper conclusion and recommendation which opens the gate for the future research as well.

Having established the said Business School, the authors believe that the immense potential in such a model needs to be explored and size of the Blue Ocean can be increased manifold. Abstract: While the India is caught in a lockdown and faces a grim battle with Coronavirus,The CPCB has assessed that this lockdown has led to near a dramatic in the AQI in India. The objective of this research paper is to review the effect of  COVID 19 LOCKDOWN  on Air Pollution in Delhi , India .In this paper analyze a data of AQI(Air Quality Index) in the days of lockdown. In this lockdown days NPR reported that the concentration of fine particulate matter in the air had dramatically dropped since India’s prime minister Shri Narendra Modi first imposed the countrywide lockdown in march.

Abstract: This research work was carried out to assess the utilization of library information resources by some selected Nigerian Polytechnics in North-East Zone of Nigeria. The achievement of any library depends on its resources and the utilization of the resources. The specific objectives of the study were identify  library information resources in the Polytechnic libraries, determine the capacities of each library in the sample polytechnics, identify if these information resources are fully utilized, identify factors contributing to the level of utilization, and suggested ways to improve library resources utilization by the stakeholders. Four research questions guided this study. A descriptive survey research design was used for the study. The population of this study comprises of Academic Staff and Students of the Polytechnic Libraries in North-East-Zone of Nigeria. Questionnaire was used as the instrument for data collection. A total of four hundred and fifty (450) copies of questionnaire were administered, 75 copies for each. Out of this population 50 was drawn from each polytechnic to serve as representative sample and three hundred (300) copies were retrieved from the respondents. The data gathered through the questionnaire were analysed through the use of frequency count and simple percentage. Findings shows that the respondents agreed to the convenience of all the listed information resources in the questionnaire. Majority of the respondents used the library information resources for the purpose of obtaining general information, for examination, for assignment and for research. The findings also exposed that majority of the respondents use the library information resources daily, while textbooks were  found to be the most utilized library resources by the respondents. As revealed in the findings, only few respondents indicated that they were having challenges in their utilization of library information resources. Some recommendations were made to enhance better use of the library information resources in the some selected polytechnics in the North-East Zone of Nigeria.

Abstract: The aftermath of the colonial system have left Muslim communities in a lot of social, religious and constitutional dilemma making it difficult for Muslim communities to adopt or adapt the already replaced Islamic legal systems in favor of the conventional systems. The advent of colonial Masters have seriously affects the traditions of Muslim and abandoned or reduced most of Muslim collective practices to individual. Zakat is among the leading aspects of collective practices made compulsory by Islam with a view to reducing poverty, establishing social welfare through assistance, love and care. Zakat is the third pillar of Islam second to salat. Despite the obligation of zakat and its economic role in the society, the new systems could not recognize. However, many Muslims could not forget the implications of abandoning such important act of ibadah and wrath of Allah that befalls on individuals for refusing to pay zakat. Therefore, upon independence, agitations for the return to zakat practices is intensified among many Muslim communities. The indices of Muslim communities after independence indicates that there are forty Muslim states in the world, sixteen out of which established zakat institutions backed by government laws while others continue to look into ways of fulfilling the religious duties with or with government backed laws. In fact, recent studies indicates that countries that could not have state backing for zakat institutions have higher percentage of zakat collections. This study explores the practices of Non-governmental zakat management among some Muslim communities. The contribution of this study is to guide communities whose legal systems is yet to accept the zakat systems under its legislation.

Abstract: Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) commonly known as drones have seen increased development in the recent decade .The purpose of this secondary analysis is to understand the current and future application of emerging drone technology in public healthcare services and explore the challenges in using the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. The larger importance of the drones has been exposed by the COVID-19, they are being used for surveillance, broadcasting, and disinfecting the affected area .In rural areas the delay in diagnosing diseases due to lack of laboratory facilities can be overcome by delivering blood sample, anti-venom  for snake bite via drones in a short time Apart from being deployed for the healthcare, drones are widely used in defense, agriculture , etc.. The organ transportation can have a new form with the advent of drone technology. However, the Indian drone industry is not fully utilized. There is a need for more incentive and technological changes to cater to the growing demand

Abstract: As stress simmer at the boundary between India and China, what is more relating to, is the economic fall out of the embitter relationship between the two nations. It is because the interdependencies of the two neighbors are too cavernous to be ignored. The indignation over the assassination of Indian armed forces has led to calls for banning the trade with China. On the other hand, India would situate to lose more than China if trade were to be restricted. A blanket ban on Chinese imported goods will spoil all the business at that time when they are before now struggling to stay alive, apart from striking India’s ability to manufacture finished products. We know that India’s heavy dependency on Chinese imports such as smartphones, smart TVs, electronic equipments and a lot of intermediary goods that helps Indian industries to manufacture finished goods. India will lose more than China because it is much easier to China to substitute India than for India to China. It will be the most badly time as Indian economy is by now at its weakest position still- facing a sharp GDP reduction. If government wants to ban on Chinese imports, then it should be given the financial help to our whole industrial sector which depend on Chinese imports.

Abstract: The lakes and reservoirs, all over India without exception, are in environmental degradation, might be due to encroachments, eutrophication (from domestic and industrial effluents) and silt. There has been a quantum jump in population during the last century without corresponding expansion of civic facilities resulting in lakes and reservoirs, especially the urban ones, becoming sinks for contaminants. The large density of human population in metropolitan cities like Bangalore, affects the environmental conditions of the city. The wetlands in Bangalore city are now dying, the effect of urbanization has taken some heavy toll on the lakes of Bangalore. and as result, in the heart of the city only 17 good lakes exist as against of 51 healthy lakes in 1985. The remaining lakes of the Bangalore city are facing extinction due to pollution. One such highly polluted lake is ‘Bellandur Lake’. It is located at latitude of 12°58’ N and longitude of 77°35’ E at an elevation of 921 m above the sea level. about 20 km towards the south-east of Bangalore city. A comparative study/work carried out between two years (2013 and 2017) analyzed data with reference to water quality status of Bellandur Lake as per recent years’ research papers and analyzed data to generate sufficient comparison. The result showed that the Lake is Polluted and as per CPCB water Quality classification Bellandur Lake comes in class E category and water used for Irrigation, Industrial cooling and Controlled Waste disposal.

Abstract: Social distancing, stay home & stay safe and avoiding public space usage has been the slogan to battle against an invisible enemy (COVID-19 pandemic), these measures are placed by the government to minimize transmission of the disease between urban residents, In pace with developed countries many developing countries across the world as well simulated same measures to reduce transmission and contain the disease, although it is believed that the outcomes would be different (WHO, 2020), yet most of the residents are complying with public health officials recommendations, empty street, minimal public spaces, parks and plazas usage are evidence of this scenario. The aim of this paper is to examine the impacts of current situation i.e. COVID-19 pandemic countermeasure on public spaces, propose tentative planning and design incentives for developing countries and encourage research on how the planning and design of our cities can evolve and be more resilient for similar future challenges.
