Abstract: In a continued quest to permanently have a cure to HIV infection, a thermodynamic optimized control infectivity model was introduced in an adopted basic viral dynamics model. The ensued model, an Ordinary Differential Equation (ODE) was solved at two instances. First under the condition of uninfected cell (CD4+) proliferation with saturation response and secondly when there was no uninfected cell (CD4+) proliferation and saturation response with each having two series of controlled and uncontrolled dynamics. The Ordinary Differential Equation (ODE) solution method was a numerical integration that utilized explicit Runge-Kutta method in MATLAB^TM function ode 23. Historical drug parameters for the model were introduced to the model for simulation of the infection dynamics from day 20 to 300 for cure. The infection time course showed that in the first instant for the controlled brown series, both infected cell count (y ) and viral load (v ) were forced to die out and converge to equilibrium of 0 cellsµL  and 0 copiesmL  respectively, at about five (5) days after introduction of the drug control parameters that is about the twenty fifth (25th) day of infection. The uninfected cell converges to equilibrium average supply rate from thymus and taking cognizance of proliferation to about 1200(cellsμL-1 ) at about thirtieth (35th) day after introduction of control that is about the fifty fifth (55th) day of infection. The uncontrolled blue series progressed as expected. In the second instant for the controlled green series, both infected cell count (y ) and viral load (v ) were again forced to die out and converge to equilibrium of 0 cellsµL  and 0 copiesmL  respectively, at about five (5) days after introduction of the optimized control drug parameters that is about the twenty fifth (25th) day of infection. The uninfected cell converges to equilibrium average supply rate from thymus to have λ/δcellsµL , 1000(cellsμL-1 ) at about thirtieth (35th) day after introduction of control that is about the fifty fifth (55th) day of infection hence validating the model. The uncontrolled red series progressed as expected. This explains recovery and making up of the depreciated uninfected cell count. Combined front of interfacial energetic approach of Hamaker coefficient and spectrophotometric approach have proved effective at optimized condition in the fight against HIV. Clinical management as well as the pharmaceutical industries should adopt the method for a clinical extinction of the disease.

Abstract: The people of Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State depend heavily on agricultural practices and they depend mostly on the use of pesticides to boost agricultural production. This research aimed at Assessing the Pesticides residues in beans samples produced in some location in Hong local Government areas, the locations are Hong, Pella, Kwakwa’a Garaha, Gashala Kufom and Uba. The pesticide residues analysis was carried out using GC/MS, data analysis was carried out on SPSS. using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) while mean was separated according to Duncan’s Multiple Range, (P<0.05) was considered statistically significant. The pesticide residues analyzed are organochlorines and organophosphate pesticides residues. The organochlorine pesticide includes ∞-HCH, β-HCH, y-HCH, chlorothalonil, Hepatechlor, Aldrin, Heptatachlor Epoxide, endosulphan I dieldrin, Endrin, Endosulphan II, P₁ P¹ –DDT and endosulphan sulphate. 13 organophosphate pesticides residues were detected across the areas studied, they are Diclorvos, mevinfos, Diazinon, Diclofenthion, Phosphamidon, Pirimophos-methyl, Chlorpyrifos, Parathion, Fenthion, Isofenfos, Bromophos and Ethion. Organochlorine pesticides residues was found to have highest concentration in the beans sample than in the control sample, it was also seen that in most of the location studied it have relatively high concentration than Organophosphate pesticides residues. Some of the Organophosphate pesticides’ residues were detected in few of the location studied with relatively low concentration compare to Organochlorine. High concentration of the pesticides residues indicates the high level of contamination of the beans by the pesticides at the time of the research. These results indicate the need for action to be taken to allow the revision of practices in the administration of pesticides during both cropping and storage of beans in Nigeria to reduce risks of pesticides poisoning.

Abstract: Pipeline construction is serves as a major component in the energy and utilities field, ensuring the efficient transportation of vital resources such as oil, gas, and water. As the demand for these resources grows, integrating advanced technologies into the construction process becomes increasingly crucial. This paper examines the impact of key technologies, including automatic welding, vacuum excavation, vacuum lifters, double block and bleed isolation tools, digital twin technology, trenchless crossing, coating technologies, Ultrasonic testing  and trench blasting, on pipeline construction. These innovations significantly enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability, offering solutions to current industry challenges and fostering a more resilient infrastructure. The paper underscores the contributions of these technologies to cost reduction, improved safety protocols, and superior project outcomes, highlighting their role in shaping a sustainable future for pipeline construction.

Abstract: Materials procurement in oil and gas projects is a critical element of effective project management, primarily due to its substantial direct and indirect impacts on schedule and cost control. This paper explores how an effective materials procurement control can lead to improved project completion schedule, cost management, and quality control. It identifies key challenges such as limited vendor options, geopolitical influences, raw material price volatility, and stringent local content requirements. Abstract: This study focuses on developing and validating an instrument to evaluate the Learning Activity Package in College Advanced Accounting. The study was designed by adapting the instrument development process proposed by DeVellis (2017). The process involves eight steps that are grouped into two phases, namely, development and validation. Nine criteria and 53-item statements for evaluation of the Learning Activity Package (LAP) were crafted based on a literature review and focus group discussion of the accounting faculty. The instrument was tried out to 23 college students from various sections and programs within the BSBA department. The selection of participants for the pilot testing utilized a random sampling approach. The instrument was assessed for reliability and was found to have a Cronbach's alpha of 0.935 and is considered an excellent instrument. Meanwhile, the CVR was generated for each item. Items marked as not essential had a CVR < 0.99 (this value is based on the total number of experts, N = 4). The average CVR value was 0.65. The findings of this study support that a learning activity package (LAP) helps supplement student's independent learning and deserves more significant consideration in the academe to improve the teaching-learning process. Research findings revealed that the learning activity package is valid for college students, particularly at-home self-learning. It is also recommended to seek additional expert input to corroborate the results and enhance the reliability of the content validity assessment. Regularly evaluate and update the Learning Activity Package based on feedback from educators, students, and advancements in Advanced Accounting.

Abstract: This study was carried out to establish the lived experiences of the Community Child Care Workers (CCWs) during the COVID 19 pandemic as they continued with their duties. To that end, the study made use of a qualitative research methodology to guide its data collection and analysis. As a result, data collection for this study was done through a merger of in-depth interviews, focus group discussion, and key informant interviews. Following thematic content analysis, the study findings established that CCWs were confronted with several challenges as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic namely increased caseloads, transport problems and insufficient protective clothing increasing their risk of contracting the COVID 19. Despite battling these challenges, CCWs reported that they continued to address various child protection issues arising from the COVID 19 pandemic. Such child protection issues include child labor, destitution, food insecurity and child abuse owing to domestic violence. Acknowledging the impact of the challenges they are facing due to the COVID 19 pandemic, CCWs revealed that they have been employing several strategies to cope with them such as using their own cars to easy transport challenges, use of Zoom meetings and buying reusable face masks. Considering the importance of the CCWs in the Zimbabwe National Case Management System, the study recommended that the government should make efforts to improve the narration of the experiences of the CCWs during the pandemic, without their full participation many child protection cases will remain unaddressed.

Abstract:  Neck pain is a prevalent issue among undergraduate medical students, significantly impacting their quality of life and academic performance. This cross-sectional study aimed to explore the relationship between neck pain and psychological factors such as stress and anxiety among medical students. Using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Medical Student Stressor Questionnaire (MSSQ) and Zung’s Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), the study found that 45% of students reported mild neck pain, 52% moderate, and 3% severe. Additionally, 72.9% experienced moderate stress and 10.7% mild anxiety. Statistical analysis revealed a strong positive correlation between neck pain and stress (r=0.857, p<0.00001) and a moderately positive correlation with anxiety (r=0.419, p<0.00001). The study concludes that stress and anxiety are significantly associated with neck pain among medical students, suggesting that addressing psychological factors may improve their overall well-being and academic outcomes.

Abstract: The objective of this study was to investigate the removal efficiency of arsenic (III) by using the coconut shell char (CSC) and rice husk ash (RHA) adsorbent in the laboratory. The pH of synthetic arsenic solution, weight of adsorbent, contact time and initial arsenic concentration were tested for the optimum conditions of arsenic treatment. The result demonstrated that the optimum condition for arsenic removal by CSC was at pH 7, the CSC weight of 0.6 g, the contact time of 60 min and the initial arsenic concentration of 2.78 mg.l^-1, while the optimum condition for arsenic removal by RHA was at pH 7, the RHA weight of 1.8 g, the contact time of 45 min and the initial arsenic concentration of 3.4 mg.l^-1. Comparing the removal efficiency, it was found that the removal efficiency of RHA adsorbent for the arsenic in synthetic solution was higher than that of CSC adsorbent. Results suggest that both CSC and RHA can remove the minimal amount of arsenic in solution.

Abstract: This study investigates the factors contributing to the success of a school-based mentoring program and its impact on the academic performance of at-risk students at Pedro E. Candido Memorial National High School. The research involved 50 students, predominantly male (64%), with most aged 16-18 (42%) and in the 12th grade (22%). The mentoring program's effectiveness was assessed through school, mentor, and parental involvement factors. Findings indicated strong support from school resources and mentors, with a positive overall perception of the program. However, the availability of mentoring sessions and comfort in discussing academic challenges were areas needing improvement. Parental involvement showed a significant positive correlation with academic performance, emphasizing the critical role of family support in student success. Most students achieved "Fairly Satisfactory" grades (66%), with no students reaching "Outstanding" or "Very Satisfactory" levels, indicating room for academic improvement. The study concludes that while school and mentor support is beneficial, enhancing family engagement and optimizing mentoring sessions are essential for better academic outcomes for at-risk students.
