Abstract: In spite of the fact that tracking records on the database are for the most part viewed as a typical issue, it assumes a key part in the enquiry execution, especially on the account of enormous databases such as information warehouse. Should a fitting file structure be chosen, the time required for enquiry reaction will diminish widely. Most specialists go for the bitmap list as favoured indexing method for situations where cardinality is low. once the list size is large, the cardinality of ordered sections expands ,this brings the reaction time to rise. The B- tree record is thought to be a solution for this problem. We concentrate on various kind of bitmap indexing systems (straightforward bitmap and encoded bitmap) and perform collected operation on inquiry with the help of both basic and encoded bitmap indexing and examinations the outcome. This paper tries to show the comparative study of bitmaps indexing and B- trees on the parameters such as response time, throughput time.

Abstract: Training is usually referred to as the methods used to give new or present employees the skills needed to perform specific jobs and to be able to provide that level of training there are several activities that must take place within an organization . “The first step in training is to determine what training, if any, is required”. Before any training can take place, there is the need to analyse what needs to be included, the evaluation of what skills are needed to perform a job and also the assessment of the skills employees already have. The gap that exists between the two becomes the subject of training. An employee is the biggest asset in almost every service industry. By showing a clear career growth path to an employee, and training him to achieve those meaningful goals, supplemented by monetary compensation and job satisfaction always goes a long way to retain them. In today’s world of commerce, training techniques have metamorphosed. The emphasis leans towards improving holistic behavioural trends and technical skills, given more exposure at an early stage. To supplement this, several mode of transferring training programmes such as corporate trainers, role-playing, case studies, practical drills, situational handling skills, etc come into play . Hospitality sector is growing at a very fast rate in Sekondi/Takoradi, Ghana and managers require huge range of competencies such as, people management, viable skills, business insights, analytic skills, succession planning, and resource development in order to get success in this sector. Furthermore, employees are not enough trained on business etiquettes, courtesy, and business communication. Generally hospitality is all about handling people, so an employee coming into contact with all categories of people must have right attitude, tolerance, and listening skills in order to move up the hierarchy as an employee as well as move the company. For effective and sustainability of performance there is the need for training in empowering the workforce to be creative and innovative. When employees are properly trained, it aids in the productivity, profitability or survival of businesses in the present competitive business environment. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the training needs of front office personnel in some selected lodges in Sekondi-Takoradi. The objectives identified the training needs of front office personnel, found out the importance of these training programs, assessed the challenges of the training programs and evaluated the effect training programs had on staff performance. The study was a non-experimental and the targeted population was front office personnel, supervisors and guests of some selected lodges in Sekondi-Takoradi with a sample size of forty respondents. Data was analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2013. The study found that almost half of the lodges that organized training for their staff do not evaluate it, though it has been realized as a useful exercise. The study recommends that hoteliers should ensure that their training programme benefit most if not all stakeholders in order to influence their performance with the training programme.

Abstract: Working capital is required for managing the day to day expenses of the company and it shows company’s ability in managing its current liabilities by using its current assets. Working capital is the difference between current assets and current liabilities. Positive working capital helps the company to manage its short term financing requirements. Working capital comprises current assets like Inventory, Debtors, Short term investments and cash balance; and current assets like payables etc. A study on working capital management throws light on how company’s profitability gets affected, as to run the company successfully, not only fixed assets, even current assets play commendable role. Therefore working capital management can be considered as one of the very important concept to be studied and analyzed. In the present scenario time value of money concept plays an important role i.e., a rupee received today is more valuable than a rupee received tomorrow; keeping in view the companies should plan about their investment on fixed assets as return on investment on fixed assets takes long time and also company should have adequate funds to maintain its day to day requirements otherwise it has to raise funds to meet its day to day requirements. Therefore company should always need to have a tradeoff between investment on fixed assets and working capital. The purpose of this study is to know how working capital affects company’s profitability and a relationship between working capital management and firm profitability and to identify the variables that most affect profitability. The results of this study show that only inventory turnover ratio and Average payment period have strong correlation with profit which indicates that only these components of working capital affect firm’s profitability. And also study has been made to analyze the liquidity position of the company using liquidity ratios and the results show that overall liquidity position of Ambuja cements is good and also company has maintained positive working capital i.e. excess of current assets over current liabilities year on year (except during 2009-10).

Abstract: Current study puts light on the role of organizational culture, job satisfaction and social influence on work engagement. Job Satisfaction plays the role of a mediator in the study. The purpose of this study is to examine how organizational culture, job satisfaction and social influence affect work engagement. Analyses of a sample of 310 employees, collected from different universities from Multan city Pakistan, explored interesting findings. Bootstrap was run using AMOS for direct relation and for the mediation study. Organizational culture, job satisfaction and social influence were found significant in predicting work engagement. Further to this, organizational culture and social influence found directly related to job satisfaction. Previous studies on work engagement have mainly focused on simple models at any given time. However, researchers increasingly claim that a complex model may give the better understanding of work engagement. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is a unique study to address a complex structure of the proposed variables.

Abstract: Nepal is predominantly mountainous and landlocked country with least development and low economic size of nominal US$ 7.23 billion. The prevailing political conflict which began in 1996, has further constrained their development, and has confined banking in urban Nepal. It is generally considered that the central bank’s (Nepal Rastra Bank) supervision is weak and the non-performing lending is sizable, especially in the two major national commercial banks; Nepal Bank Ltd. and Rastriya Banijya Bank. However, formal and informal financial institutions are functioning in Nepal but, the role of their contribution are known to a minor extent. Therefore, this research was designed to analyze the scope of sound development of the financial institutions in Nepal. We made use of descriptive and causal comparative research designs, and analysis of available information for the study highlighting the recent trends in structure and development of the financial sectors. In detail study and analysis of primary data from Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) and information from clients of selected financial institutions has brought to light some interesting information. The collective data of NRB and selected commercial banks from the fiscal-year 2000 to 2015 were analyzed using regression model. The result revealed that bank credit plays important role in Economic Growth. Nevertheless, economy has gradually increased over the years, since 2000 to 2015. Accordingly, the financial sectors are implied to design and formulate strategies that will not only minimize the acquaintances of the bank to credit risk but also enhance its profitability.

Abstract: In the era of globalization electronic marketing is a great revolution. Over the last decade maximum business organizations are running with technological change. Online shopping or marketing is the use of technology (i.e., computer) for better marketing performance. And retailers are devising strategies to meet the demand of online shoppers. Therefore we have also decided to study consumer’s attitudes towards online shopping and specifically studying the factors influencing consumers to shop online.
The population selected for the research is Guinea, and narrowed down to Kofi Anan University students, University cafeteria and Guinea Public library, the sample size selected for this research is 100 and i have used convenience sampling technique.
The findings indicated that among the four factors selected for this research the most attractive and influencing factor for online shoppers in Guinea is Website Design/Features, following convenience the second most influencing and thirdly time saving. Results have also showed that security is of important concern among online shoppers in Guinea. The research has also found that there are some other factors which influence online shoppers including, less price, discount, feedback from previous customers and quality of product. For the second research question i.e. who are online shoppers in term of demography: the correlation results for the age and attitudes towards online shopping has showed that elderly people are not so keen to shop online. Whereas for education it is concluded that higher education makes online shopping less attractive, for the income the correlation results are so weak hence we could not conclude anything out of it. It is expected that this study will not only help retailers in Guinea to devise successful strategies for online shoppers but it will also provide a base for similar studies in the field of consumer attitudes towards online shopping.
It is hoped that this study will be able to stimulate future research interests in the area of E-commerce. It is recommended to include detailed website design to be evaluated by consumers in future. In order to reap the maximum benefits of future research, the website must have been improvised to include all the necessary features that have been discussed or even more. The potential participants can be invited to take part in the survey through the actual website so that they can evaluate and visualize the features, benefits, ease of use, security, trustworthiness and etc. with less bias but with more true perception and feedback. It also serves as an evaluation of the marketing strategy through the survey.

Abstract: One of the interesting spheres for research is tourism destination management process. Above Mentioned process is quite complicated and many problems are faced. Some stakeholders can be functioned in several different roles at the same time, which complicates the situation. To implement stakeholder management, first concept requires the tourism planners to have a full knowledge of all the persons or groups who have interests in the planning processes, delivery and outcomes of the tourism service i.e. interests in the procedural and substantive aspects of the corporate activity. Planners often take too easily the complexity of this step and default to a cursory report of only the most noticeable stakeholders, mainly tourists, business owners and government officials. Paper explores the reasons of the mentioned problems according to each stakeholder, discusses involvement difficulties, gives the ways how to manage above mentioned process and eliminate all the problems. Solution can be understanding the role of stakeholders, promote their cooperation and involvement in tourism destination management. By all that we can achieve more utilization of tourism potential.
