Abstract: With the implementation of good governance and the government's internal control system, it is hoped that regional governments will be responsible for their duties, implement good governance and be able to account for their performance. This study aims to determine whether Good Governance and the Government Internal Control System affect the Managerial Performance of Local Government Organizers. This research was conducted at the Gianyar Regency Government with a population of 114 respondents and the number of respondents analyzed was 98 people, using a purposive sampling method. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis test.

Abstract: The City of Tagaytay is famous for the Bulalo Restaurants. The researchers assess the customers queuing process based on Model Entities, Model Activities, Model Resources, Endogenous Events and Exogenous events. The researchers had 4 selected Bulaluhan Restaurants in the city of Tagaytay such as Diners Bulalo, D’Bas Bulalohan, Bradleys Bulalohan and Green Ats Bulaluhan. The study use survey questionnaire and quota sampling in which 50 customers was subjected to answer the survey questionnaire the result shows   that most of the customers of Bulalo restaurant age 19 to 29, male with an educational attainment of college graduate with a monthly income range of 10,001 to 19,999 pesos per month and visits the Bulalo restaurant for the first time. While in queuing process such as the model entities, model activities, model resources, endogenous events and exogenous events the respondents agree to the statements. While there is significant difference between the educational attainment and model entities, model activities, model resources and endogenous events. Monthly income and all of the queuing process factors had a significant difference and the number of times visiting the site with the model activities, model entities and exogenous events.

Abstract: Innovation has been identified as one of the key vehicles of organizations’ competitiveness. Many organizations have been forced by difficult business environment to consider at least an aspect of innovation in their processes in order to stay afloat. Tea is one of the major foreign exchange earners and the Tea subsector supports 10 % of the Kenyan population. Tea is a scheduled cash crop in Kenya that is a source of livelihood to many. Innovation in the tea industry in the form of mechanical tea harvesting technology has been introduced as a comparatively cheaper option to mitigate the high labour cost that is threatening the viability of the subsector. The confounding thing however is that the uptake of this technology is still low. This study therefore sought to uncover the contradiction by establishing if perceived customer stakeholder pressure influence innovation, specifically, the adoption of mechanical tea harvesting technology. The study employed diagnostic survey research design as the most appropriate since the research was about relationship between variables. The target population was all tea plantation firms in Kenya with the respondents being the managers in charge of the business units. A census enquiry was used and data collected using a semi-structured questionnaire. The response rate was 71%. A descriptive and inferential statistics data analysis was used with a logit model indicating a beta coefficient of 2.034 with a p value of 0.003 meaning that perceived customer pressure was positively significant. Nagelkerke R square was 0.465 also indicating that it was a fairly good predictive model. The findings suggest that customers are an important stakeholder group in firm’s innovation decisions in the tea subsector in Kenya.

Abstract: In the current scenario it is expected that the private concerns has to pay effective attention over the recognition and appreciation of employees by giving proper promotion and giving privilege in the form of job enrichment and job enlargement by offering a suitable opportunity to accept the challenges to achieve more. Based on the effective job design the organisation can retain the employees and extend their business in a perfect way. Job design may results in deciding the methods of motivating the employees to learn extra in their job by extending their knowledge towards utilising the given chance to learn more. Through effective job design the job rotation is applied over operations where the employees can avail a chance to do all the job in the process. This study may paves the ways to identify the impact of job design over the performance of employees in the private sector. Therefore the management should pay great attention over structuring the job design to increase the productivity.

Abstract: The purpose of this investigation was to examine the influence of downsizing on the performance of medical research centres in Kenya. The Investigation applied descriptive study method. The main participants for this research were 450 staff of selected medical research centres. A representative of 272 staff of the participants was applied. Information was gathered by conducting observable logical survey. The survey used restricted and unrestricted surveys. Questionnaires were conducted to evaluate for gravity and accuracy of the apparatus. Fundamental information was gathered by conducting observable logical survey. Inferior information on organization performance was gathered using analysis of both observed and hypothetical information from books, magazines, internet among others. Quantitative information gathered was analyzed by the use of explanatory employing SPSS as well as submitted by frequencies, chi-square, ANOVA and t-test. Data were submitted by charts, correlation as well as regression analysis. The content investigation was used to assess information that was subjective in essence or condition of the information gathered from the unrestricted surveys. Multiple regression models were used to assess whether independent variables had an influence on the dependent variable. The findings of the study infer that there exists a positive relationship between downsizing strategy and performance in medical research centres in Kenya. The investigation recommends for effective policies and procedures on downsizing in medical research centres that enhance performance.

Abstract: The general objective of this research was to establish the influence of stakeholder engagement on performance of commercial banks in Kenya. The study embraced a Descriptive Research Design.  The study collected primary data through administration of questionnaires.  The study questionnaires were self-administered to the selected bank officials.  The study had a Target population of 126 Managers from the three levels of management of the 42 licensed commercial banks in Kenya.  A simple random sampling method was used to select the managers for the study who were 75 in number.  The study analyzed the data into a descriptive statistic by help of SPSS software version 23 where measures of central tendencies such as mean and standard deviation was calculated.  The variations in the financial performance of banks were due to stakeholders’ engagement.  The study findings were presented in form of frequency tables and bar graphs.  From the findings of the study, it was revealed that the stakeholders’ engagement influence the operations and functioning of commercial banks in Kenya.  The study recommends that commercial banks to strengthen the relationship with its stakeholders for continued engagement.

Abstract: This paper empirically examines the pros and cons of E-Learning on student’s career. E-learning is defined as an approach to facilitate and enhance learning by means of personal computers, CD-ROMs, the Internet, Computer Software’s, mobile applications, Websites, etc. The purpose of the study is to measure the factors affecting E-Learning and its effect on student’s career on the basis of time, technology, work load, and other aspects. As being a descriptive study, survey method was adopted for data collection and sample of 120 students from different colleges and background was surveyed. Data was analysed by using co-relation and regression and cross bar in SPSS software, the evaluation helped in concluding that E-Learning was much better medium for learning than traditional classroom-based learning for todays generation and upcoming generations.

Abstract: The concern for intensive efficiency has emerged as a result of the increasing mobility of persons and goods, countries have to address the challenge of ensuring a balance between open and at the same time secured and controlled borders. In order to respond to this challenge, the East African Community has developed the concept of “Integrated Border Management” which is key its border management strategy. The purpose of this study was to establish the influence of Information Technology System on performance of Integrated Border Management in East Africa. The study employed a descriptive research design to determine the relationship between Information Technology Systems and performance of Integrated Border Management in East Africa. The results of the findings depicted that the existing ICT hardware has greatly improved the performance of the integrated border management. The ICT software, ICT network and people’s attitude has a great influence on the performance of integrated border management.  The existing hardware, software, network and people’s attitude have a positive effect on clearance of products, cut cost of management, improved electronic payment system, improved speed of clearance, improved transparency and real time monitoring. Better and more sophisticated hardware, software and network systems should be put in place for efficiency in border management. Policies should be put in place to increase on knowledge awareness to the community on the importance of the integrated border management.

Abstract: This study aims to examine the impact of different components of transformational; Individualized Consideration, Inspirational Motivation, Idealized Influence, and Intellectual Simulations; on the organizational culture among employees of public universities in Tripoli-Libya. This research is a quantitative methods study and used SPSS software package and AMOS SEM software to analyses the primary data that collected from selected employees from the Libyan Public Universities. Population of the study is all employees who are working in Libyan public Universities. However, the study uses purposive sampling technique to choose three universities, which are the most three popular, with largest number of students, and located in Tripoli, the Capital of Libya. The final valid sample size used for data collection is 221 participants. Idealized Influence found to have the highest impact, Inspirational motivation found to have the second impact, Intellectual simulations found to have the third impact, and  individualized consideration found to have the least impact. In general, the study prove that transformational leadership has a positive significant impact in on organizational culture at Libyan higher education institutions, which is mapped with many studies within the same filed of education but in different countries. Further studies are advised to investigate the same model in different environments for generalization and examination of differences between countries. In addition, extend the model to include other styles of transformational leadership are welcome to assess the differences between leadership styles.

Abstract: Palestine exchange market is one the developing market in MENA area, but it has some unique features associated with continuous struggles to survive. With these condition the possibility of financial reporting quality specially in relation to earning management become questionable. However, studies in developed countries revealed that there are relations between corporate governance and audit quality in accrual earning management. Understanding the factors of improving the quality of earning management in Palestine is important to provide an insight of how to develop the PEX market. Therefore, this study is an exploration into the Palestinian exchange market to increase the knowledge regarding the accrual earning management behavior and its antecedents. This study design has some characteristics, which formulate its design and include; scientific research, deductive research; quantitative research, and secondary data research. The model is composed of nine variables; the highest outcome variable (dependent variable) is firms’ performance; Seven independent variables from corporate governance category and audit quality category; and accrual earning management as a mediator. The data collected from secondary data reports published by the Palestinian stock exchange agency (PEX) or by the companies in its official websites. The dataset have 320 records that related to 32 companies in 10 years and model relations analysis are based on OLS regression models. Three relations are accepted and four relations are rejected. The relations from variables; Concentrated Ownership, Managerial Ownership, Institutional Ownership, and CEO Duality are rejected. The highest predictor is external audit (Beta = -0.327). The second predictor is board independence (Beta = -0.212). The third predictor is audit committee (Beta = -0.122). From the five corporate management variables, only board independence has significant relationship with accrual earning management. Similar evidence from previous studies can be found but in relation with earning management and in different environment, in Malaysia [1], and in Indonesia [2]. External audit relation with earning management is mapped with previous studies in different environments; in Indonesia [2]; in Jordan  [3]; and in UAE [4]. And audit committee relation with earning management is mapped with previous studies in different environments; in Iran [5], in India [6], and in Pakistan [7].

Abstract: The general objective of this research was to examine the contributions of solar power projects in the expansion of sustainable power generation in Tanzania. Target population of the study are customers of PowerGen Renewable Energy living in Mwanza and Kagea and specifically the Ukerewe in Mwanza and Bihalamulo in Kagera. Random sampling was conducted in a relatively straightforward way, by taking a customer list and generating a random sample on excel. A total of 119 micro-grid clients were sampled from the population. The study used questionnaire and document review as data collection instrument. Both Primary and Secondary data was collected for the study. The quantitative data was converted into statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) whereas Qualitative data was thematically analysed not only to assess the contribution of solar projects that are none quantifiable but also to assess mechanism and process, relevance, efficiency with which was undertaken, effectiveness towards yielding intended outcomes as well as sustainability of outcomes of the project. A correlation analysis was performed on the adoption variables revealed there was a positive correlation between awareness and affordability which was significant whereas it showed a strong positive significance between efficiency improvements factors and social economic factors and a negative significance between social economic factors and environmental factors. Majority of the respondents said PowerGen improves their quality of life and feeling of safety and security. The negative correlation between environmental factors and socioeconomic acceptability reveal that when socioeconomic factors increase, Environmental factors decrease. It’s necessary for the government to give incentives of some kind that will inspire the people to get connected

Abstract: This study presents a literature review on the significant of training and development on employees’ productivity. The main objective of this research study is to study the impact of training and development an employee’s performance. To explore different methods of training and development that affects employee’s performance. To Examine how training and development contribute to the individual performance and productivity. Abstract:  Human resource practices are crucial to any organization in order to have the best pool of talent as well as to retain them. The employees can be used in the best interest of the organization with positive human resource practices. This article is an attempt to study the nature of Human Resource Practices in the organization, as well as its impact on employees’ performance. The study conducted reveals that the organization needs to spend after education, medication, and other Welfare measures for its employees. Abstract: Among the sectors that have been identified as vital to the economy in Kenya is the manufacturing sector. Its contribution nevertheless, is contingent on their performance financially. The study sought to establish the effect of working capital management on financial performance of manufacturing firms listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Kenya. The target population of the study was eight manufacturing firms that are listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Kenya. A census approach was used within the time scope of 2013-2017. The data analysis was based on panel regression analysis. The study established that debtors’ management and cash management had significant effect on Financial Performance of Manufacturing Firms Listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Kenya. The study concluded that creditors’ management and inventory management had insignificant effect on financial performance of manufacturing firms Listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Kenya. Lastly, the study concluded that gross domestic product had insignificant moderating effect on the relationship between working capital management and financial performance of manufacturing firms Listed at the Nairobi Securities Exchange, Kenya. The study recommends that ensure that that firm management should put in place measures that will ensure the efficient and effective management of the cash related issues of the firm.
