Abstract: The study investigated the effect of financial decisions on financial stability of Kenyan Deposit-Taking Sacco Societies. Specifically, it analyzed how financial leverage, dividend policy, and liquidity as key indicators of financial decision-making, affect capital adequacy, which serves as a benchmark for assessing the financial stability of these institutions. The anchoring theoretical postulations included the theory of trade-off, dividend relevance theory, working capital management theory, and risk absorption theory. To achieve the research objectives explanatory research design was utilized. The study focused on DTS that have been operational from 2018 to 2022. Data of secondary nature was sourced via the audited annual statements of these DTSs finance, which were submitted to the Sacco Regulatory Authority. The findings revealed that financial leverage negatively and insignificantly affects financial stability, while dividend policy and liquidity both have a substantial positive effect on financial stability. Furthermore, the DTS’s size was noted to have significantly moderated the connection concerning financial decisions and financial stability. The study recommends strengthening existing regulatory frameworks to ensure DTS has robust liquidity risk management practices in place. This can include guidelines on liquidity stress testing, contingency funding plans, and liquidity ratio requirements. Clear and comprehensive regulations will help DTSs maintain adequate liquidity levels and mitigate liquidity-related risks.

Abstract: This study examines the relationship between the legitimacy of social media influencers and customer trust in brands, emphasizing the significant impact influencers have on modern marketing. In a time when social media has transformed consumer interactions, influencers have become crucial personalities, utilizing their authenticity to cultivate trust and loyalty among consumers. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted with 150 participants aged 18 and older who interact with influencers on platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Data were gathered on influencer credibility, assessed through expertise, trustworthiness, and attractiveness, as well as consumer brand trust. The analysis demonstrated a substantial positive connection (r = 0.75, p < 0.01), signifying that enhanced views of influencer credibility are associated with improved brand trust. This discovery emphasizes the necessity of using reputable influencers in marketing tactics to enhance brand loyalty. The hypothesis testing validated the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis, indicating that influencer credibility greatly affects consumer brand trust. The findings from this research are essential for marketers aiming to enhance consumer relationships and cultivate brand loyalty via strategic influencer collaborations.

Abstract: The objective of this research is to present a comprehensive analysis of the intensity of industrial competition, resource availability, business strategies (specifically, service strategy based on Tri Kaya Parisudha, innovation strategy, partnership strategy, and social media promotion strategy), as well as the performance outcomes of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engaged in the production of endek craft in the region of Bali. The study focuses on the population of SMEs engaged in the production of endek craft in Bali. Purposive sampling was utilized to choose 170 Bali endek craft SMEs managers/owners. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The findings indicated that the level of industrial competitiveness encountered by endek craft SMEs in Bali was categorized as high. Similarly, the availability of the company's resources also falls within the high category. The implementation of the business strategy can be outlined as follows: the adoption of the service strategy based on the principles of Tri Kaya Parisudha demonstrates a high level of effectiveness, the innovation strategy is commendable, while the partnership strategy also exhibits a satisfactory level of performance. Additionally, the social media promotion strategy is deemed to be effective. Furthermore, the achievement of business performance has a considerably elevated level. Hence, it is imperative for SMEs in the craft industry in Bali to persistently diminish the level of industrial rivalry and augment the accessibility of company's resources. This approach would enable them to foster enhanced implementation of business strategies and ultimately enhance their overall business performance.

Abstract: The rapid development of Internet technology, information technology, and new media technology has profoundly affected people's production and lifestyle. Social media is directly and extensively changing people's consumption methods and trends. This article introduces the concept, type and role of social media, explains the process and influencing factors of consumer purchasing decisions, then analyzes the ways, processes, models and mechanisms of social media affecting consumer purchasing decisions, and conducts relevant empirical research and data analysis, and finally put forward opinions and suggestions on the application of social media to promote correct decision-making by consumers.The result of the thesis research is: social media has an increasing influence on consumer purchasing decisions, which is the result of the interaction between rational choices of consumer purchasing decisions and the powerful functions of social media. Abstract: The present research endeavors to examine the effects of exports, FDI, and CAB on the GDP of the BRICS nation. The study employs a thorough empirical analysis to investigate the dynamic interactions among these factors, with data spanning from 2003 to 2022. The results show that Exports (EXP01) are the most important positive driver of GDP growth in the BRICS nations, according to the correlation research (r=0.979), highlighting their vital significance in economic progress. The somewhat negative correlation (r=-0.532) between FDI and GDP points to inefficiencies in the leverage of foreign investments. Maintaining a strong trade and financial position is crucial, as evidenced by the Current Account Balance (CAB), which shows a somewhat positive association (r=0.653). In these economies, increasing exports and FDI utilization stand out as crucial tactics for long-term success.

Abstract: One of the non timber forest products (NTFPs) from Mareje Bonga Forest Area is bamboo. The bamboos are marketed in the form of baoo logs to several destinations, such as creaft centers.  This study has the objectives of: identifiying types of products processed from Mareje Bonga bamboo, both inside and outside the area; and propose strategies for developing the bamboo processing industry. The study benefits should reach all stakholders of the Forest of Mareje Bonga, Central Lombok, Indonesia. This research uses a descriptive method, and conducted in the area of Marje Bonga Forest, Central Lombok, Indonesia. The unit of analysis is bamboo products. Data were obtained from relevant sources, including literatures, research reports, and the sorts. This study concludes that bamboos from the area of Mareje Bonga Forest are amarketed inside and outside the area.  The bamboos are then processed into several bamboo products of high and low added values or profits. Inside the area of the forest, the higher profit was generated by large bucket.  Outside the forest area, three bamboo products were promising for their profits, i.e. berugak, set bench, and lazy bench. There are more types of bamboo products and more profitable bamboo products outside the forest area than the inside. Therefore, it is justifiable to recommend developing more bamboo products outsisde the region than the inside, as also supported by high demand. The entrepreneurs need imptove their business capacities, such as management, technical aspect, marketing, and so fort.

Abstract: Corporate social responsibility has been a subject matter that has attracted a lot of attention in the academic and corporate world. This is so because of its relevance at ensuring that corporate bodies give back a fair share to the society they operate and gain from. It is viewed as a means by which organizations can build their reputation in the society. It is also the process of incorporating social and environmental policies into a business's operations and financial goals. It is predicated on the idea that businesses may mitigate the adverse impacts they have on the environment and society. To ensure that corporate social responsibility of firms is effective there is a need for a robust and effective stakeholder communication strategy. As it ensures that corporate bodies create and sustain a transparent and open conversations with a range of stakeholders to support moral and socially conscious solutions for a variety of problems. This study is an attempt to assess the relationship between stakeholder communication and corporate social responsibility. The study is anchored on stakeholder theory and social identity theory. The study adopted a systematic literature review methodology. From the review of various literatures, the outcome indicated that stakeholder communication has a strong relationship with corporate social responsibility. It is also recommended that corporate bodies ensure that communication is well managed with stakeholders by establishing and sustaining a clear communication channel which will help to ensure that corporate social responsibility initiatives are both effective and beneficial to the stakeholders and also the firms’ reputation.

Abstract: Every economy sector places a premium on financial reporting quality, which draws heavily from other functions within an organization. Nairobi County's financial reporting, however, has reportedly been of low quality due to bad financial choices, ineffective operations, stakeholder mistrust, and lost opportunities. Therefore, this study ascertained how budgeting techniques affects quality of financial reporting of Nairobi City County Government in Kenya. It evaluated influences of incremental, activity based and zero-based budgeting on quality of financial reporting. Theory of budgeting, resource-based view and complexity theories served as theoretical reviews. The study's framework was a descriptive study design.  Responses were drawn from one hundred and twenty-two (122) directors, internal auditors, finance officers and accountants of finance and economic planning department of Nairobi City County Government in Kenya. Stratified sampling approach was employed in selecting ninety-three (93) responders who made up sample size with Yamane sample size formula. This study employed a quantitative approach, utilizing structured questionnaires to gather primary data. To ensure the robustness of the findings, the research instruments underwent a rigorous assessment of reliability and validity. Findings unveiled that incremental budgeting insignificantly and positively affect the quality of financial reporting; activity-based budgeting provided a significant and positive effect on the quality of financial reporting while zero-based budgeting unveiled an insignificant positive effect on the quality of financial reporting in Nairobi City County. The study concludes organizations should prioritize the implementation of activity-based budgeting practices to enhance their financial reporting quality effectively. The survey recommends that Nairobi City County should actively promote the adoption of activity-based budgeting practices throughout the organization.

Abstract: This study aims to: (1) Analyze the spatial integration of shallot commodity prices in West Nusa Tenggara; (2) Analyze the transmission of shallot prices that occur between regions in West Nusa Tenggara. The data used in this study are weekly shallot price data in time series from January 1, 2020 to August 31, 2024 from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center website at 4 main shallot markets in West Nusa Tenggara, namely: Amahami Bima Market, Seketeng Sumbawa Market, Aikmel Market, East Lombok and Mandalika Market, Mataram City. Data analysis using root test (stationary data), optimal lag test, correlation test, Error Correction Model (ECM), Variance Decomposition (VC) and Impulse Response Function (IRF).

The results of the study show that: (1) The price of shallots in Amahami against the Aikmel, Mandalika and Seketeng markets is strongly integrated in the long term and weakly integrated in the short term; (2) Price transmission that occurs in the markets in West Nusa Tenggara including Amahami, Aikmel, Mandalika and Seketeng markets can be transmitted well where, Amahami Market is a market reference because its production center is in Amahami Market, so it can quickly adjust to the Mandalika market and other markets also adjust indirectly market information can be received by the four markets.

Suggestions from this study are (1) Provision of accurate price information and dissemination of price information need to be improved again so that every shallot marketing institution and consumer can find out about price changes that occur quickly and accurately; (2) The importance of cooperation between markets to control prices in order to minimize the symptoms of excessive price fluctuations that apply in the market. And there needs to be an in-depth study for further research related to the Shallot commodity in West Nusa Tenggara.

Abstract: Microfinance enhances the financial capacity of the economically disadvantaged, often ignored by commercial banks and other lending institutions, by offering services such as credits, insurances, and savings, thereby encouraging self-employment. Due to various variables businesses encounter, guidelines, decrees, and rules are necessary to regulate their operations, ensuring a fair structure for all companies within a sector. This regulatory framework is essential for the financial industry, especially microfinance banks, to operate within set boundaries. This study examines the impact of prudential regulations on the financial performance of Kenyan microfinance banks. It specifically focuses on the effects of capital regulation on financial performance. Theoretical framework reviewed was stakeholder theory. The study's target population consisted of the fourteen (14) licensed microfinance banks in Kenya, employing a census of all these microfinance banks and an explanatory research design. The study utilized secondary data, which was sourced from the financial statements of selected microfinance banks in Kenya. This information encompassed data collected over a seven-year period, from 2015 to 2022. Findings revealed that capital regulation significantly (ρ = 0.013) and negatively (β = -3.3184) impacts financial performance. The study recommends that microfinance banks recognize the importance of capital management and ensure regulatory compliance.

Abstract: Kenya's objectives for economic growth and innovation highlight the importance of competent strategic management, particularly in agriculture. Despite this, there is insufficient scientific information on how these tactics affect performance. To overcome this gap, this paper explores Kakuzi PLC's strategic planning procedures. This study explores Kakuzi PLC's strategic planning processes to assess their influence on agricultural organizational performance. The main purpose of this study was to analyse the effect of strategic management practices on the organizational performance of agricultural firms, a case study of Kakuzi PLC in Kenya. Specific Objectives were; to evaluate the effect of environmental analysis on organizational performance of agricultural firms, and to assess the effect of strategy formulation on organizational performance of agricultural firms. This study used a descriptive research design. The research focused on the all 3,526 employees at Kakuzi PLC, Kenya. Fisher's formula was used to calculate the sample size. Primary data was collected through the use of questionnaires employing a semi-structured format. The data analysis involved cleaning, coding, and organizing questionnaire data using SPSS version 28.0, with mean, standard deviation, and frequency tables, and multiple regressions employed to examine relationships between independent and dependent variables. The study concluded that Kakuzi PLC maintained its competitive advantage by continuously monitoring technology, market trends, and regulatory changes, ensuring it reacted to the external environment. Performance was routinely evaluated using industry benchmarks and staff input to ensure that it met market needs. Kakuzi PLC also established clear, realistic targets that were linked with strategic objectives, made effective use of resources, and did a thorough risk assessment. Despite some issues with work distribution, the personnel were typically well-prepared, and management actively monitored plan execution. The study made the following recommendations: agricultural enterprises should prioritise environmental scanning to react to market trends, technology, and regulatory changes. This proactive strategy will improve their capacity to remain competitive and adapt to external changes. Furthermore, firms should set clear, quantifiable goals that are consistent with business objectives. Risk assessments and resource evaluations should be part of the strategy design. Improved communication and clear role definitions will lead to better task performance. Regular strategy reviews, data-driven decision-making, and employee feedback systems are recommended to guarantee goal alignment and response to any necessary changes.
