Abstract: Traffic accidents are a major cause of death and injuries worldwide, but while they are declining in many parts of the developed world, fatalities are still on the rise in many developing countries including India. Reduction of the number of accidents and mitigation of their consequences are a big concern for traffic authorities, the automotive industry and transport research groups. The ‘3rd EYE’ detects the school zone and other restricted speed zones using a permanent RF Transmitter and a RF receiver that is placed in the vehicle and slows down automatically by controlling the fuel supply using relay in the vehicle. This will persists as long as the vehicle is in the particular zone. This idea can be widely implemented for colleges, schools, hospitals to control rash driving and prevent accidents.

Abstract: In series of automobile engine components a connecting rod is highly critical and re-searchable one. Connecting rod is the intermediate link between the piston and the crank. And is responsible to transmit the push and pull from the piston pin to crank pin, thus converting the reciprocating motion of the piston to rotary motion of the crank. Generally connecting rods are manufactured using carbon steel and in recent days aluminium alloys are finding its application in connecting rod. In this work connecting rod is replaced by aluminium based composite material reinforced with silicon carbide and fly ash. And it also describes the modeling and analysis of connecting rod. FEA analysis was carried out by considering two materials. The parameter like von misses stress, von misses strain, displacements, and weight reductions were obtained from ANSYS software. Design of connecting rod which is designed by machine design approach is compared with actual production drawing of connecting rod as well as maintaining its cost effectively.

Abstract: This work assesses the performance of an automated bread slicing machine in comparison to a manually operated type by subjecting them to a performance test. Calculation of forces acting on the cutting components are presented and materials selection for optimal performance explained. The resultant slicing capacity of the automated machine show that average loaves sliced per minute are comparatively higher and crumbs of bread produced are smaller. The results obtained are presented using graphs that compare mass of crumb formation, tool cutting force against cutting speed and cutting speed against time. The results show that the manually operated bread slicing machine produce greater crumbs of bread as the cutting speed increases. The tool cutting force remained constant with increase in cutting speed and decreased gently as time elapsed.

Abstract: The aim of this project was to investigate experimentally compare the effect of coolant-cooled condenser and air cooled condenser in a household refrigerator. The experiment was doing buy using refrigerant HFC134a as the refrigerant. In this the coolant cooled condenser is retrofitted with household refrigerator. Coolant used in the condenser is polyalkaline glycol. The pressure gauge and energy meter device was attached to the test rig. The temperature was measured by digital thermometer and all readings note at each load. The performance of the household refrigerator with air cooled condenser and coolant cooled condenser have been compared for different load conditions. The graph plotted by COP with load and work done with load. The results showing that the COP is greater when the system is working with coolant cooled condenser and work done by compressor is also reduced by coolant cooled condenser, thus the energy consumption can be reduced. The results indicate that the refrigerator performance had improved when coolant-cooled condenser was used instead of air-cooled condenser on all load conditions.

Abstract: Air conditioning is a rightful solution for the increasing of atmospheric temperature, know a days it done successfully. But air conditioning is costly and it cannot be affordable for common man due to its high capital cost and running cost, but air conditioning is necessary for the comfort of living beings. For we find a solution for this cost effect problem of air conditioning. We are presenting an air cooling system that works under electrolysis. Electrolysis air cooling is a new age air cooling system that works purely by principle of water electrolysis. In electrolysis air cooling the main parts are blower, copper electrode (anode), galvanized iron sheet (cathode), 12v dc power supply, air pump. galvanized iron sheet is fabricated to a box shape and used as cathode and copper plate is used as anode. And water mixed up with any electrolyte (salt, acid or alkali). when a potential difference occurs in between this experimental setup electrolysis happened and water split up into hydrogen and oxygen, for this action an amount of heat is absorbed from the atmosphere this results a cooling effect inside the system, air inside system gets cooled. And this cooled air get pumped out from the system by means of a blower provided at the top of the apparatus. This induced the decrease in the atmospheric temperature and atmosphere get cooled, moreover it gives comfort to living beings.

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to provide a specialized tool for Soldering and Desoldering process that works faster with less effort and is more convenient to use where the desoldering pump that is manually-operated device used to remove solder from a Printed Circuit Board is modified and made as an electrically-operated device which is connected to the soldering iron as a one hand tool for doing both soldering and desoldering process. Its potential was assessed using variables namely, user-friendliness of the project, productivity, design acceptability, uniqueness, reliability to project operation, and wellness of automation. Experimental method was used in the study and a survey questionnaire was distributed to the 96 respondents in Dasmariñas, Cavite. All technicians were considered as participants of the study. The results show that in terms of productivity, reliability to operation, and uniqueness, the participants agreed that it possessed high-quality operation and that it has a significant difference between the existing and proposed soldering iron with desoldering vacuum. Hence, it can be concluded that the developed Soldering iron with Desoldering vacuum really can help to lessen the time in removing soldering lead in a mass production than using the old way of heating first then removing the soldering lead which causes slow flow of work. It is recommended that the workspace should be designed for precision since the soldering iron with desoldering vacuum is used by all technicians because it is something that is appropriate for soldering on delicate system boards such as other various small repairs on electronics to solder and desoldering connections and small components on an electric panel to use soldering iron with desoldering vacuum to most electrical appliances.
