Abstract: In this paper, we obtain the limit representation of fractional exponential function. The application of fractional exponential function is illustrated. The main methods used in this paper are fractional L’Hospital’s rule, Jumarie’s modified Riemann-Liouville (R-L) fractional derivative, and a new multiplication of fractional analytic functions. In fact, our results are generalizations of the results of classical calculus.

Abstract: Several studies carried out previously showed that the performance analyses of refrigeration systems were investigated based on only the first law of thermodynamics and to calculate the actual loss due to irreversibility in the system, exergy analysis based on second law of thermodynamics is essential. Incorporation of Nano particles in the refrigerants has been observed as a means of reducing irreversibility and improving the performance of Vapour Compression Refrigeration Systems (VCRSs). This study describes a thermal modeling of VCRS where refrigerants HFC-134a and HFO-1234yf are fluids in primary circuit and the copper oxide nanoparticle is the fluid in the secondary circuit. A computational simulation program was used to solve the non-linear equations for the main system components such as compressor, condenser, expansion device and evaporator. It also uses thermophysical properties of HFC-134a, HFO-1234yf and CuO nanoparticle. It’s size and the compressor speed to predict the secondary fluids output temperatures, the operating pressures, the compressor power consumption and the system overall energy performance. Results of this study show that the highest improved coefficient of performance is 14.65% in HFC-134a mixed with nanoparticles as compared to the value without nanoparticles. Similarly, it was also observed that second law performance improvement of exergy efficiency range is 11.6% to 12.9% and it’s higher in HFC-134a mixture. The reduction in the irreversibility in terms of exergy destruction ratio in the system is 21.4% using the HFC-134a mixture and 18.5% using the HFO-1234yf. Although the mixture of CuO in HFC-134a shows a higher performance in most cases of the system, the HFO-1234yf can be a good replacement for the HFC-134a because of its low GWP and its environmental friendly properties.

Abstract: In this paper, based on Jumarie’s modified Riemann-Liouville (R-L) fractional derivative, we study some properties of fractional analytic function, such as fractional Taylor’s theorem, first fractional derivative test, and second fractional derivative test. The major methods used in this paper are fractional Rolle’s theorem, fractional mean value theorem, product rule for fractional derivatives, and a new multiplication of fractional analytic functions. In fact, these new results are generalizations of those results in ordinary calculus.

Abstract: Load variations in power systems are increasing due to more variable renewable energy and electrification. The variations can be partly dealt with through controlling flexible loads in buildings i.e. Demand Side Management (DSM)). This work evaluates how five different tariff schemes (Base Case, Energy Rate, Measured Power, Time of Use and Tiered Rate) affect the value of DSM in buildings totally powered by electricity (cooling, heating, lighting and appliances). The tariffs schemes were evaluated to investigate incentives provided to the consumer for increased energy efficiency and enhance peak load shaving through DSM. Tariffs’ evaluation based on simulation for a single-family house in Egypt, 45 cases were conducted considering different parameters (class of consumption, location, type of tariff). The simulation and algorithmic results showed that the suggested tariff schemes offering remuneration through DSM enable lower bills for consumers beside attain peak load shaving then increase energy efficiency.

Abstract: Over the last 30 years, the electricity and renewable energy laws in Egypt had been restructured, and the energy efficiency codes of electricity and buildings had been developed. However, there is a lack of effort towards the end user behavior and there is a need to consider energy savings that can be gained from consumption patterns’ reconstruction. This paper discusses various solutions to the before mentioned matter, while discussing smart grid and demand side planning. Also, the paper explains the steps that should be followed in order to stimulate the customers to reshape their use of electricity to reach a desired alteration in the load profile.

Abstract: Over the past few years, there have been incidents at factories where lathes are used for precisely machining really hard materials. These incidents include fire breakouts, thefts and illegal entries and damage to machinery and they occur due to inefficient monitoring and unavailability of proper real time data. Hence there is a need of proper software and services for monitoring of environmental conditions of the factories. To fulfil this need, we created this project using IoT based sensors which will be connected to an Arduino Uno, and linking them to lathe machines for detecting their temperature and humidity changes, measuring distance around them and also abnormal vibrations. This data will be transferred to the phone or serial monitor of the concerned authorities thus making it easier for them to detect any unwanted changes in the aforementioned parameters related to the lathe machines and ensuring their smooth functioning in the factories.
