Abstract: X-ray K-absorption near edge spectroscopic studies have been carried out on four copper (II) mixed-ligand complexes. The complexes are: I-[CuCH3COO(ben)(p-Tol)], II-[CuCH3COO(ben)(p-Ani)], III-[CuCH3COO (p-Chloroben)(p-Tol)] and IV-[CuCH3COO(p-Chloroben)(p-Ani)] in which benzaldehyde and P-chlorobenzalde hy de act as primary ligands while P-toluidine and P-anisidine act as secondary ligands. XANES spectra have been recorded at the K-edge of Cu using the dispersive beam line at 2.5GeV Indus-2 synchrotron radiation source RRCAT (Raja Ramanna Center for Advance Technology), Indore, and India. Various X-ray absorption parameters e.g., chemical shift, edge-width and shift of the principal absorption maximum have been obtained in the present study. These parameters have been utilized to explain the structure of the complexes. The studies establish significant correlation between various parameters for these complexes. XANES data have been analyzed using the computer software Origin 6.0 professional and Athena.

Abstract:   In this paper, two stage group sampling plan is developed for a truncated life test when the life time of an item follows different distributions. The parameters of the proposed plan such as minimum number of testers and probability of lot acceptance are determined when the consumer’s risk and test termination time are specified. The results are discussed with the help of tables and examples.

Abstract: In this paper, we obtain common fixed point theorems for g – non decreasing maps satisfying generalized condition (B) in partially ordered G- metric spaces. These results generalize the results of Agarwal and Karpinar [25]. We also, give examples that our results are not equivalent to the results in metric spaces if we transform a metric space into a G- metric space.

Abstract: Rocks and minerals are non-renewable products of nature, once they are exhausted, they cannot be grown like plants and forest. Minerals have significant importance for the industrial, social and economic prosperity of any nation. Keeping this in view the need for a judicious National Mineral Policy was felt, so that the state could lay down proper guidelines towards development and exploitation of its natural resources, without harming the environment. The National Mineral Policy thus framed is liable for charyes according to necessity and demands. Generally, the policy can be grouped for 'domestic' and 'foreign' purposes separately to achieve this goal the terms "close door", "open door" and "restrictive" policies have been applied. Pursuing the available literature on our National Mineral Policy, it has been found that there is no strong and clear cut provision to protect the environmental degradation due to varied mining activities going on locally like - granite mining in Bundelkhand region. This lacuna raises the question that, what should be our "Ideal National Mineral Policy" (INMP).

In the view of the above lacunae, the present paper presents certain suggestions for the same. The suggestions are discussed specially keeping in the view of the mining scenario of the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Abstract: In drug development the most important step after drugs active discovery is its formulation. The drug should be designed in such a dosage form that could deliver the most of its active to the biological system imparting its pharmacokinetic properties through its physicochemical characteristics. The pharmacokinetic properties of drug depends upon drugs permeability, solubility, lipophillicity, protein binding etc. which are determined by its physicochemical properties including acid-base Dissociation constant (pKa), Molecular weight (MW), hydrogen bonds available (h-donors & h-acceptors), polar surface area (PSA) and partition coefficient (logP). Physicochemical characteristics are determined during structural modelling of the active i.e. studying & developing a Structural activity relationship of drug’s chemical structure. In this experiment, pKa & logP of the physicochemical properties are under consideration and the impact of physicochemical parameters on solubility permeability & ADME in oral & dermal preparations of Fluconazole. We determined the buffer capacity by titration method using an acid (0.1M HCl) & a base (0.1M NaOH). When the ratio of conjugate base & weak acid are in equilibrium i.e. having the same values, then the pH values are equal to pKa.  While, pH is inversely proportional to concentration of weak acid & directly proportional to conjugate base. It was found that microemulsion formulation with diethyleneglycole monoethylene ether for fluconazole provides best drug delivery system than with the one with Polyethylene glycol & is favourable for advance clinical assessment. Also, fluconazole has low lipophilicity consequently when administered orally it extensively dispenses into body, particularly in serum or blood.

Abstract: This paper explores the many uses of angular momentum regulation and its role in the synthesis of co-ordinate motion generated with physical based characters. We find that students have many common difficulties related to basic of angular momentum and its application in human being. Angular momentum is the force which a moving body, following a curved path, has because of its mass and motion. Neutral movement of humans reveals a high degree of co-ordination in which the entire body moves in concert to perform a given task. We describe the development and implementation of a research—based learning tool, to reduce to understand angular momentum. There have been many investigations of student’s difficulties in learning quantum mechanics (QM). Scientists have collectively performed the most through study of the role of angular momentum in human movement to date. They postulate that whole body angular momentum may be regulated directly by the central nervous system. Here, we have seen that it is possible to use momentum to produce coordinated motion such as balance, stepping and walking through a multi-objective framework. Several key observations will be made in this paper. The concepts described in this paper highlight the importance of angular momentum control over whole body co-ordinate behaviors in all human activities.

Abstract: This paper provides a general discussion of atmospheric-pressure plasma generation, classification, and applications. There are two distinct categories of atmospheric-pressure plasmas: thermal and nonthermal. Thermal atmospheric-pressure plasmas include those produced in high intensity arcs, plasma torches, or in high intensity, high frequency discharges. Although nonthermal plasmas are at room temperatures, they are extremely effective in producing activated species, e.g., free radicals and excited state atoms. Thus, both thermal and nonthermal atmospheric pressure plasmas are finding applications in a wide variety of industrial processes, e.g. waste destruction, material recovery, extractive metallurgy, powder synthesis, and energy conversion. One of the most fascinating applications of atmospheric pressure plasmas is its use for biomedical applications because of its capability of producing various biocidal agents including reactive species, UV radiation, and charged particles.

Abstract: The structural, elastic, electronic, optical and thermodynamic properties of SrSi₂ at ambient condition have been investigated by using the planewave ultrasoft pseudopotential technique which is based on the first-principles Density Functional Theory (DEF) with Generalized Gradient Approximation (GGA). The optimized lattice parameters, three independent elastic constants (C₁₁, C₁₂, and C₄₄), bulk modulus (B), shear modulus (G), Young’s modulus (Y), Pugh’s ratio (G/B), Poisson’s ratio (ν) and elastic anisotropy (A) are estimated and discussed.  The electronic structures of SrSi₂ show that the top of the valence band is determined by Si 3p states, the bottom of the conduction band is determined by Sr 3d states, and the band structure presents an indirect narrow-gap semiconductor character with energy gap of 0.059 eV. Finally, the thermodynamic properties and the different optical properties such as, dielectric function, absorption, loss function, conductivity, reflectivity and refractive index of SrSi₂ are obtained and discussed in detail.

Abstract: To compare the anthropometric, physical and physiological variables among University men Ball Badminton, Badminton and Tennis players.

In this chapter, selection of subjects, selection of variables, selection of test, tester’s reliability, instrument reliability, objectivity, validity, orientation of the subjects, test administration, collection of data and statistical analysis have been explained.

Collected data were analyzed with one way analysis variance (ANOVA). If obtained ‘F’ ration is significant Schaffer’s post hoc was used .The Level of significant was fixed at 0.05.

On the basis of the results obtained by statistically analyzing the data selected anthropometric, physical and physiological variables such as height, weight and speed, agility and flexibility and vital capacity, breath holding time of university men Ball Badminton, Badminton and Tennis players. The conclusions were drawn.

• There was a significant difference between anthropometric variables of university men Ball Badminton, Badminton and Tennis players.
• There was a significant difference between physical variables of university men Ball Badminton, Badminton and Tennis players.
• There was a significant difference between physiological variables of university men Ball Badminton, Badminton and Tennis players.

Abstract: this article focuses on the design and simulation for optimal structure of cross type capacitive acceleration mems sensor. The sensor structure is built by using analytic model combining with the emulation using ansys workbench. This structure must meet all production criteria: acceleration range is 0 – 10 g, the size is not over 12´12 mm², the resonant frequency is greater than 1 khz, the damping coefficient range  is [0.59 – 0.707], and the minimum sensitivity is 0.5 pf.

Abstract: Almost N-S strike the famous Gwalior fort is situated in the North - West direction from the Gwalior railway station and falls in Survey of India toposheet No. 54 J/4. Many archaeological monuments / sites are located in and around the fort, few of them are namely- Man Mandir Palace, Vikram Mandir, Karan Mahal, Johar Kund, Bhim Kund, Sas-Bahu Ka Mandir, Suraj Kund, Teli Ka Mandir, Urwahi Group, Trishala Giri, Ek Pathar Ki Bawari, Gujari Mahal, Girnar and Siddhanchal.

Global positions of the said sites are recorded by using the modern technology of the recent high-tech world. GPS (Global Positioning System) is a satellite based navigation system, which provides exact location of any archaeological site present on the earth, in the form of geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) with elevation (height) from MSL (Mean Sea Level). On the basis of geographic coordinate data, the global position of the archaeological site can be shown on the globe. More over the said data can be used in GIS (Geographic Information System) for making a site map of our choice.

In the remote sensing community, The GPS has been recognized as an accurate, fast and cost effecting method for collecting the geographic coordinate, which can be used in surveying and GIS applications, normally it take months by using conventional methods, by using GPS techniques work can be done in a few days.

Abstract: Friedman–Robertson-Walker model is the standard model which has been studied thoroughly.  The FRW model is successful in explaining expansion of the Universe but it has certain limitations which are also discussed here. FRW model with and without Cosmological model have been compared which leads to the conclusion that Cosmological Constant plays an important role in the study of the Universe. It is also observed that Cosmological Constant is not really constant but it is varying.  Although FRW models are inadequate in the study of the Universe but its study will be a milestone for the future research.
