Abstract: This paper is a summary of a small study done to know about various types of marriages, increasing rate of divorce and various causes of divorce in today’s world. The study was focused mainly on to know about the different prevalent institutions for the sake of reproduction of same offspring or a living partner for whole life tied with nautical bond, divorce, the increasing rate of divorce and their various causes. Marriage is an institution which allows men and women to stay in to lead a family life. It gives a social recognition and religious sanction to two different sexes for staying together. According to Mack and Young, “Marriage is the institution or set of norms which determines the particular relation of parents to each other and to their children”. Marriage is a social, spiritual or legal union of two hero sexual individuals. This union may also be called a wedding and the status is called wedlock. In today’s fast stage of life increasing divorce rate as compared to previous years has led focus towards study of this burning topic. A very simple questionnaire was framed to know about different causes of divorce and then answers were categorized as per rank given by the respondents. Suggestions to overcome this stigma have also been enlisted.

Abstract: Islam regulates Muslim people in many aspects to make them better in the present life and Hereafter, including Islamic economic system within it which are serve for Muslims economy based on what Quran and Hadith guide. Even though this system existed more than fourteen centuries ago, but the Islamic economic system is not fully implemented by Muslims in society. In this case, as an Islamic-based university, IIUM has the responsibility in making significant contribution towards reducing and eradicating poverty in Malaysia by leveraging on the QHM collaboration approach involving the active contribution of NoM.

Abstract: Earlier, human rights and corporate houses seemed to be worlds apart, like oil and water, an impossible mix. Preventing human rights abuses were mostly thought to occupy the field of States, and never the field of corporate houses. The main agenda of corporate houses was to earn profit. But nowadays we can see the paradigm shift in the relation of corporate houses and human rights. Operations carried out by the corporate houses bring visible evidences of how closely human rights and corporate houses are linked, the key perspective being corporate social responsibility. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) refers to strategies that corporate houses adopt to conduct their business in a way that is society friendly, ethical and beneficial to community in terms of development. Keeping in mind the changing scenario of global market, corporate houses have to change their work culture as per the demands of the society. New global expectations are emerging in which respect for minimum human rights standards has become an inextricably linked issue with the process of building a responsible company. The researchers through this paper tried to view the corporate social responsibility of the business houses from the perspective of human rights. The paper begins with a review of the elaborate existing literature and debate on the subject. Then, a conceptual vision is synthesized that coherently integrates human rights and corporate social responsibility frameworks. After setting the conceptual criteria, empirical cases where effective corporate social responsibility considerations have resulted to respect for human rights, are analyzed and explained. The findings of the study provide insights into an area of growing concern of corporate houses towards society. The paper ends with a sketch of possible paths of merging the business goals with social responsibility practices to foster corporate respect for human rights.

Abstract: Despite considerable progress in recent decades, labour markets globally remain divided along gender lines. This inequity manifests itself most evidently in the form of significant wage differentials. The question of gender in wage differentials and occupational segregation has been intensively discussed in the economic literature. The extant literature on the subject identifies two potential sources for wage differences; firstly, differences in human capital traits such as education, and secondly, segregation i.e. exclusion of minority groups (such as blacks, Arabs or women) from high paying occupations.  Israeli labour market provides a relevant case for study of wage inequality.

Abstract: Health systems suffer a heavy toll in fragile and conflict affected states, and Iraq is an exemplifying case. An oil rich, land-locked nation in the West Asian continent, Iraq has a population of 34.81 million spread over 435,052 sq km. With a GDP of USD 220.5 billion and per capita income of USD 6320, Iraq ranks among upper middle income countries of the world. However over three decades of war, sanctions and occupation have collectively shaped the social realities of contemporary Iraq. Once known as the ‘Cradle of civilisation’, the modern-day identity of Iraq has come to be synonymous with al-Qaeda and Islamic State. Of all the areas affected by the internally driven as well as externally maneuvered chaos in Iraq, healthcare has taken the biggest hit; Iraq’s health system has now lost its reputation as a leading regional force in 1970s. The eight year long Iraq-Iran war, which lasted from 1980 to 1988 killed half a million people on both sides and led to progressive diversion of funds away from the health sector.

Abstract: The study examined secondary school teachers’ professional role identity and personal role espousal in Central Uganda in view of better teacher professionalism on the African continent. It first unveiled the tendencies that typify both teachers’ professional role identity and personal role espousal, before highlighting lessons for teacher professionalism. The study concluded that many teachers mirror lopsided role identity and role espousal behaviour, which constrains teachers’ involvement in co-curricular activities, educational research and community development. It also inhibits the full professionalization of teaching in many African countries. The study closes with recommendations for better professionalism.

Abstract: This article gives you important guidelines for the extensive training of the teachers to teach the students in the most effective manner using Digital Learning Content. The pre-set standards of e-learning companies for trainings of teachers solve no purpose. This analyses that the teachers’ training provided by the content providers on the basic content and digital board does not solve the purpose. Bringing teachers and content providers on the same platform is the most important and hence, getting information on every teacher’s weekly schedule and assisting them to integrate the digital content in the content delivery sessions in the classroom is even more important.

Abstract: As democracy returns to Nigeria in the late 1990s, novel forms of militia agitations and struggle re-emerged and took a different turn which deepened in the decade.  The paper is a theoretical and descriptive analysis set within the period 1999 to 2014 which conceptualizes the post amnesty Niger Delta leaders operating within the State orbit as militia capitalists to differentiate them from the brand of struggle instituted by Isaac Boro in 1966 and  environmental activism of Ken Saro Wiwa  in the early 1990s .A shared historical memory of Boro and Saro Wiwa  is  built  to define, mediate, and construct an ideological leaning at variance with  contemporary  militia in the region. The aim is to demonstrate the strategies adopted by the militia capitalists and understand how and why such proclivities as resource capitalism may not chart the much expected collective and equitable transformation of the impoverished Niger Delta rather results to inequality, economic empowerment of the few in the guise of militancy and disempowerment of the majority ,leading to a more glaring parody best alluded to as resource  militia capitalism. Urgent policy intervention is sought to redress this development gap.

Abstract: Women education is an essential need to change their status in the society and also empowerment intellectually. Women education in India has been a most important preoccupation of both administrative and civil society because educated women can play a very important role in the society for socio-economic development, besides political, and legal. It is one of the opportunities for women empowerment because it enables them to respond to the challenges; to confront their traditional role and change their life-style. Education eliminates inequalities and disparities as the means of recovering their status within and out of their families. The present study based on fully secondary sources collected on various issues obtained through Statistics of School Education (SSE), Ministry of Human Resource development, New Delhi and Census of India 2011. The study aims at the girl’s enrolment in school education and analyse female literacy rate over the census years in India. We concluded that girls’ enrolment in school education had been increased year by year in India. At the same time women literacy is low compared to the literacy rate of men. Even though the female literacy level is rapidly increasing, it could not achieve to the literacy level of in India.

Abstract: This paper shows the diagnostic benefits of using the Test Room to Measure the Cognitive Functions of the Brain (TRMCFB). This patent was obtained on 31 Aug 2015; number 4304, from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This patent is an evaluation mechanic-technology to assess certain brain functions and psychological conditions and disorders through a number of different tests; e.g. mathematics, geometric shapes, discrimination dimensions, logical thinking, visual IQ, imagination test through images, forms arrangement, colour, fine motor skills, motor balance, motor coordination, visual-motor integration, wording, literature, art, recalling, short-term memory, long-term memory, comprehension, perception, ordering, analysis, composition, emotion, response speed, identify tones and, finally, a sounds test. The inventor, who is also a psychotherapist, did not find a single tool that was able to test a large number of brain functions and psychological disorders simultaneously and in a single mechanism. Most of the existing tests examine the brain functions and the cognitive abilities orally, whereas the existing medical devices such as the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or the functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) examine a limited number of brain functions. The current patent (TRMCFB) would solve such problems by displaying a number of tests and questions that measure a large number of brain functions, cognitive abilities, and psychological conditions and disorders. In addition, the results of the tests displayed by the TRMCFB can be used for different purposes such as in selection for a certain educational field or professional position, to diagnose a psychological disorder, or simply to evaluate the brain abilities and capabilities.

Abstract: Customer satisfaction is extremely important in the service based business especially in tourism sector. The factors that influence tourist satisfaction are likely to help in developing strategies to maximize tourist satisfaction and profitability of tourism business. The aim of this very paper is to investigate the influence of sociodemographic characteristics on the level of tourist satisfaction with the tourist attractions. The destination of the study was chosen the tourist capital of Bangladesh, Cox’s Bazar, the most popular and visited place in the country. Quantitative method was chosen for the study. The primary data was collected from the tourists visiting Cox’s Bazar though questionnaire which was used to measure the tourist satisfaction through ANOVA model. The secondary data was collected from articles, journals and online resources. The analysis of collected data was carried out through various statistical techniques. A hypotheses testing is undertaken on the data to verify the dimensionality and reliability of the scale used to measure the customer satisfaction. SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) Version 22 software packages were used in this study. The study revealed that there are positive relationship between the sociodemographic characteristics of the tourists and Overall Satisfaction. The findings of the study may be useful to the policy makers and destination planners to produce effective plan that will help the business planners to reset the service setup at the destination and guide them for effective tourist segments.

Abstract: This study examined the relationship between knowledge-mediation intrapreneurial ventures and secondary school teachers’ standards of living (SOL) in Central Uganda. In many African countries, the economic welfare of teachers is poor; and teachers try all sorts of businesses in view of improving on their plight. What is not clear, however, is whether such ventures as part-timing and vending learning materials are capable of making a substantial contribution to teachers’ SOL. The study employed a descriptive survey design over a sample of 200 teachers; and used both a questionnaire and an interview guide. Data was analysed using descriptive statistics, regression and correlation analysis.  It was discovered that while some knowledge-mediation ventures such as part-timing make a positive contribution to teachers’ SOL; others such as coaching do not. The study concluded that, with due diligence and administrative cooperation, intrapreneurial ventures are capable of improving on teachers’ economic welfare, for more committed service.

Abstract: The Jharkhand retail sector is witnessing tremendous growth with the changing demographics and an increase in the quality of life of urban people. Retail Sector is the most booming sector in the Jharkhand economy. With a growing economy, improving income dynamics, rising awareness, and a youth-heavy customer base, Jharkhand is well on its way to become one of the most prospective markets for the domestic as well as global retailers. The main objective of this paper is to strategically analyze the Jharkhand retail Industry. The present paper identify the drivers which affect the growth of the Jharkhand retail market, looks at the major factors affecting the retail business and to carry out the SWOT analysis of organized retail in Jharkhand. The results of the study depict that infrastructure, economic growth and changing demographics of consumers are the major driver of organized retail in Jharkhand. The location of the retail store, management style and adequate salaries to personnel enhance the effectiveness of retail business and are important factors for retailers’ success.

Abstract: Glocalisation can be divided into the terms global and localization, which mean a global outlook adapted to local conditions. This is expressed by the term “Think globally and act locally.” In fact the education is functioning in a global market. Whether it is in form of academic institution catering to an international labour market, or an international institution which through physical/online mode serving the learner The globalisation has brought a serious change in reference point for determining the aims and objectives of every level of education. One of the questions the researchers chose to respond was ‘how had the content and nature of curricula of B.Ed. Education in Bihar changed over the period 1987-2009?’ The period also signifies the Indian rising to globalisation. To answer this question the researchers chose the content analysis method. In this analysis it was found that despite the ballooning of the curricula of Universities over the decades, the thrust of change is not towards the direction to address the needs of glocalisation. The additions in B.Ed. syllabi of universities of Bihar contribute to the numbers but the teaching practices and approaches remain vague as earlier. The NCTE curriculum that is based on the NCFTE-2009 has suggested radical changes not only in content but also in practice of teaching learning. It has added a global perspective to the the curriculum. It is a challenge for the curriculum makers as well as for the teacher educators who transact the curriculum to adopt these elements in their teaching learning process.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to find out the challenges posed by street children both to parents, government and their effects on the environment at large. This study is revealing that there is an urgent need for these children to be taken off the street before Boko haram recruits them into their camp in Nigeria. The research was carried out on 5 selected gang-outs of the street children in Calabar Metropolis of Cross River State. A survey questionnaire was administered on a sample size of twenty five children culled from five selected gang-outs in Calabar Metropolis in Nigeria. A four point Likert-scale rating was secured as the instrument for data collection and the questionnaire was face vetted and validated for data collection. The respondents indicated the extent of their agreement to the items based on the scale points; strongly agree, agree, disagree and strongly disagree The responses were weighted against the options and the mean score derived by summing the weighted scores and dividing by total number of responses.
