Abstract: This study contributed to knowledge by examining the effect of Value Added Tax (VAT) means of revenue generation on Price firmness in Nigeria by finding out the role VAT is playing in the Inflation rate in Nigeria. The ex-post facto research design was embraced, and data were sourced from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical Bulletin for the period 1994 to 2018. The study employed simple linear regression model (ordinary least square (OLS)) via E-Views 10 statistical package in analyzing data. The results of the inquiry indicate that there is a significant connection between VAT and price stability (Inflation Rate) in Nigeria. The result of the investigation revealed that divergent to the view by commercial business owners that VAT elevated the prices of their products, which engenders inflationary outcome. Value Added Tax (VAT) has no inflationary significance in Nigeria. Increased tax returns from VAT does not give rise to inflation in Nigeria and recommends that, although transparency is inevitable in today’s global economy, sequencing of faces of liberalization is necessary to check possible inflationary consequences in Nigeria, therefore advocates for relative increase in the overall share of VAT within the context of fiscal policy whenever expansionary financial measures are adopted for achieving the goal of economic growth.

Abstract: Normally, values can be valued on any subject or object. That is, the value of valuing anything is worth. When a baby is born, it develops through interaction with family members. The child gets the first education from the family members, and the family members teach the child as correct and value as much as possible. Even if a child gets education from the family, he cannot deny the contribution of a teacher to the education of a child. When a child came out of the family and went to school, the demon of the development of the qualities of all his aspects came upon a teacher. The values are of many types, such as social values, moral values, etc. And a teacher helps in awakening those values among the students in a variety of ways. If an educationist is not educated, I think he will not have any particular contribution to the welfare of the society or the country. So a teacher who teaches value to a student plays a lot more role than it is in a family. Therefore, a teacher can teach students different values so that the student can develop his life in a better way, and he can engage himself in the charitable work of society and the country.

Abstract: The fundamental concept behind MVT is that the assets in an investment portfolio should not be selected individually, each on its own merits. Rather, it is important to consider how each asset changes in price relative to how every other asset in the portfolio changes in price. Investing is a tradeoff between risk and expected return. In general, assets with higher expected returns are riskier. The stocks in an efficient portfolio are chosen depending on the investor's risk tolerance, an efficient portfolio is said to be having a combination of at least two stocks above the minimum variance portfolio. For a given amount of risk, MVT describes how to select a portfolio with the highest possible expected return. Or, for a given expected return, MVT explains how to select a portfolio with the lowest possible risk.

Abstract: Stochastic dominance (SD) is a fundamental concept in decision theory. The term is used in decision theory and decision analysis to refer to situations where one gamble (a probability distribution over possible outcomes, also known as prospects) can be ranked as superior to another gamble. It is based on preferences regarding outcomes.  It is associated with choice, on outcome of distribution and uncertainty in investment parlance. It is a form of stochastic ordering. A preference might be a simple ranking of outcomes from favorite to least favored, or it might also employ a value measure (i.e., a number associated with each outcome that allows comparison of multiples of one outcome with another, such as two instances of winning a dollar vs. one instance of winning two dollars.)

Abstract: Tuberculosis is a highly contagious disease accounting for a high number of deaths in the developing countries; its control can be effectively achieved if individuals with the disease receive adequate and timely treatment. The objective of this study will be to determine the factors associated with ACF as a screening tool for TB detection cases inSt. Mary’s Health Center in Kiserian. A cross sectional study was conducted on patients accessing treatment St. Mary’s Health Centre. Data was collected from a sample of 91 respondents and 19health workers who filled the various questionnaires. The study design was cross sectional design where patients were given questionnaires as they come to the health Centre. The collected data was coded, entered and analyzed using the SPSS version 17 computer software. Data was presented using tables to make them reader friendly and all ethical issues related to this study was addressed by maintaining high level confidentiality of the information volunteered by the respondents. The finding of the study revealed that the TB patients /respondents who are affected are mostly male, most are married and with low study level with almost half being primary level but accept and recommend the use of ACF screening tool while least percent (5%) of the respondents who are university level still fear the use of ACF screening tool because privacy and confidentiality of the results. The study also found out that the ACF screening tool is the most effective in screening TB in the research health centre with a recommendation that the government should enhance the capacity of the health workers to fully understand the use of ACF screening tool. It is also recommended that the government to fund and promote other health centers to acquire ACF screening tool to control spread and transmission of TB in Kajiado West Sub County.

Abstract: The increase in size and openness, in both the markets and the financial institutions in Kenya has allowed the mortgage sector to expand phenomenally, raising concerns about the potential rise of risks. A concern regarding the mode of financing and risks associated has been overlooked with the country experiencing boom and therefore creating a major flux hence with the surge in residential housing prices between the year 2000 and 2015. Hence the need to conduct this research to bridge the gap between popular concern and academic inquiry by investigating the financial factors that affect development of mortgage finance in Kenya.

The population of study was financial institutions providing mortgage financing and the consumers of mortgage finance in kitengela town. The collected data was coded, entered and analyzed using the STRATA program; the analysis of the result was based on descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviations, frequencies and percentages. The study used both primary and secondary data from published licensed mortgage financial institutions operating in Kenya annual reports and financial statements. The independent variable was financial factors affecting mortgage finance while dependent variable was development of mortgage in Kenya. Study results made recommendation which aims at improving the risks associated with mortgage finance as well as measures which would ensure risk management, equity and sustainability of the mortgage finance in Kenya and this effect has been characterized by changing models and rising influence of the real estate market in institutional portfolios. This is evidenced by the correlation between the independent variables and dependent variable under the study.

Abstract: This article presents retention and disposition in federal higher educational institutions in Adamawa State, Nigeria. Records and management of records, problem statement, the retention and disposition of records, challenges and possible solutions to personnel records management in the 3 institutions were studied. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The findings for the study were discussed and result was presented in form of tables, figures, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The challenges were discussed and possible solutions were also provided. Conclusion was drawn and recommendations were presented.

Abstract: Research on “Sufficiency Economy  Philosophy towards  Personnel Living of  Local Administration Organization in Eastern Region of Thailand Year 2019” aimed 1) to study on the levels of sufficiency economy  philosophy in the local administration organization in Eastern region of Thailand year 2019; 2) to study on the personnel living of the local administration organization in Eastern region of Thailand year 2019; 3) to study on the influences of the sufficiency economy  philosophy on the personnel living in the local administration organization in Eastern region of Thailand year 2019; and 4) to study on the suggestions.  The populations in this study were the personnel in the local administration organization in Eastern region of Thailand. Sample groups in this study were 400 of personnel in the local administration organization in Eastern region of Thailand. The convenience sampling method was adopted where the interviews and questionnaire were used as the research instruments. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, and multiple regression.  It was found by the study that most of the samples were single female aged between 25 – 34 years old. They graduated with Bachelor degree and monthly income between 10,001 – 20,000 baht per month.  The sufficiency economy philosophy in the local administration organization in Eastern region of Thailand was found at the highest level. The highest score was on the aspect of morality, second by good self-immunity, rationality, knowledge and modesty, respectively.  The levels of sufficiency economy philosophy towards the personnel living in the local administration organization in Eastern region of Thailand was found at high level. The highest score was on the aspect of social and culture, second by psychological, natural resources and environment, economic and technology, respectively. The influences of sufficiency economy philosophy towards the personnel living in the local administration organization in Eastern region of Thailand were on the aspect of morality, rationality, good self-immunity, and modesty. While in the aspect of knowledge, sufficiency economy philosophy showed no influence on the personnel living in the local administration organization in Eastern region of Thailand.

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to investigate mentee teachers’ attitudes towards pupils with special needs at Oda Wesley Methodist primary A and B. The case study design was employed for the study. The sample size was 10 mentee teachers which comprised of 4 females and 6 males. Interviews and observation guide were used to collect data. The purposive sampling technique was used to select the sample size. Data from interviews and observation were analyzed thematically. Results from the study revealed that 80% of mentee teachers showed positive attitudes while 20% showed negative attitudes towards learners with special needs in terms of how they perceive their academic success. Also, the mentee teachers used small group discussion, nature walk and individual attention as major instructional methods of teaching the learners. It was recommended that the resource teacher in the school should support the mentee teachers as well as the regular teachers in the classroom and also organized regular in-service training on the methods of teaching learners in an inclusive setting.

Abstract: This article studies the domestic migration in China from rural residents’ perspectives and analyzes their reluctance to migrate to urban areas actively for permanent residence. Despite the ambitious program of the Chinese authorities to settle down 100 million rural populations in urban areas by 2020, the plan has not been met with enthusiasm by rural people. For studying the reasons behind the rural residents' disinterest, the paper examines the recent changes in urban and rural residence status named hukou in China and their influences on the decisions of people’s on the rural-to-urban migration. The paper argues that the changed socio-economic conditions in the past couple of decades that directly relate to the hukou status and the different regulations for cities at different levels contributed to the decision-making of rural residents regarding the rural-to-urban migration. The lack of interests of rural residents to move to cities permanently lies in the multiple factors that impede the realization of the ambitious new type of urbanization plan of China.

Abstract: Women in India fought for equal rights along with men in all spheres of life, drew the attention under the impact of western education and developments took place during the early part of the 20th century. A powerful mood among the women emerged in the twentieth century to fight for their rightful place in political sphere with men. This approach took a firm shape in the form of feminist organizations and feminist movement with the aim of getting gender equality. The feminist movement actively participated in the national struggle for the freedom of nation. Mutually, the National movement helped women to fulfill their needs of equal rights along with men.

Indian women’s organizations entered into politics with a view to getting voting rights and taking part in the decision making process. Under the leadership of Gandhi, National Movement attracted Indian women’s organizations. As a result more and more women participated in the freedom struggle. They demanded for suffrage and presentation in the provincial legislature. The British Government accepted women enfranchisement in the elections held to the central and provincial legislative assemblies during 1920s and 1930s. Several strong and eminent women leaders joined the national movement and contributed equally with men for the cause of freedom struggle.

Title: POLITICAL EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IN TAMIL NADU-A STUDY

Abstract: Pandita Ramabai Sarasvati was an Indian social reformer, a pioneer in the education and emancipation of women in India. She was the first woman to be accorded the titles of Pandita as a Sanskrit scholar and Sarasvati after being examined by the faculty of the University of Calcutta. She was one of the 10 women delegates of the Congress session of 1889. In India Pandita Ramabai established Sharada Sadan (Home of Wisdom), a school for widows, in Mumbai. This was to be a non – sectarian school where, however, all the caste rules of Brahmins were meticulously observed. In the late 1890s, she founded Mukti Mission at Kedgaon village, forty miles east of the city of Pune.  The mission was later named Pandita Ramabai Mukti Mission. In 1920, Ramabai’s health began deteriorating. Breathed her last on 5th April 1922, almost a fortnight ahead of her 64th birthday.

Abstract: When discussing about the state, especially a rule of law state, it is impossible not to mention the law, the law and the state are considered as a twin, which have a close and organic relationship with each other. In that relationship, the state is considered the basis for enacting the law and the law is introduced to protect the existence of the state, contribute to the establishment of the state apparatus, consolidate the state power, contribute to economic management, ensure safety and create social relationships of the state. This is further affirmed in the rule of law state that Ho Chi Minh, right from the 20s of the twentieth century, asserted in the state and society "Hundred things must have the rule of law spirit". This article presents Ho Chi Minh's ideology on the role of law in the rule of law state, thereby proving Ho Chi Minh's progressive and righteous ideologies in assessing the role of the law in the state. Furthermore, it points out the achievements in the construction of the legal system in Vietnam, especially in recent years, on the one hand it proves the value of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, and on the other hand it mentions important results in to build and perfect the rule-of-law state in Vietnam at present.

Abstract: Increasing the income of women workers in the informal sector is one example of strategies that can be taken to support the economic development of a country. The purpose of this study is analyze effects of financial capital, Length of business , and social capital on income and analyze social capital in as moderating variable. This research conducted in Badung , Bali with the population of the are female workers in the informal sector with 100 respondents. The results y indicate financial capital, length of business, and social capital simultaneously have  significant effect on the income of informal sector female workers. Financial capital, length of business, and social capital partially have a positive and significant effect on the income of informal sector female workers in Badung , Bali . Social capital as a moderating variable weakens the effect of financial capital on income and length of business on the income of women workers in the informal sector.

Abstract: This study was about The Role of Teachers in Moral Character Development for Students, a case of wellspring Academy of Remera Sector, Gasabo District, Rwanda, and it was aimed at analyzing the role of teachers in moral character development. Debating whether moral values are important to be taught or not is the wrong issue. Moral values have to be taught to the students to dwindle a moral depravity. The research was carried out at Wellspring Academy, located at Nyarutarama, Kigali City Rwanda.

The main question asked: Do teachers’ moral conduct serve as a good example to students attending Rwandan high schools?  The study provided an in-depth review and analysis on relationship between teachers and moral character development for student.  The study was carried out in Wellspring Academy Remera Sector, Gasabo District, and it took a look at background of the study, statement of the problem, objectives and significance of the study, research questions and scope of the study. It also took a look at literature review where literature review was concerned with different written ideas from other authors in the world about moral character development for student. Questions were administered to students and teachers while deputy head teachers and head teachers were interviewed. The findings were presented in forms of tables according to the objectives of the study, responses, frequency, percentage and cumulative percentage of respondents. Education needs educators or teachers and strategies to deliver the materials. The strategies can be Character Building program in which the activities are arranged to increase the students’ emotional quotient, Caring School Community in which the activities are arranged to create a caring relationship between teachers-students, and Integrative Ethical. Teachers should first of all have moral values such as respect, honest, integrity and others to be able help students live morally good and become smart citizens. Teachers should understand that, they do serve as salt. When food is not salty no man can enjoy it. Therefore, when teachers are not living well, no student will admire them.

Teachers should live exemplary on a daily basis for students to imitate.

Character development should be given enough time. Teachers are encouraged to spend some good hours with students either in class or through sports, drama and music to be able have an impact on the character development of students
