Abstract: For past few years FGM has become a global issue. FGM is a practise of cutting and removing of female genitalia in some countries and communities. FGM has adverse physical health and mental health as well. Though this practise has been doing on the name of religion, norms for societal acceptance and tradition, but how much is this procedure is safer for women is questionable. Women are suffering from many complications and emotional issues who had undergone FGM. Through, this review paper, I will bring to light mental health related issues associated with female genitalia mutilation.

Abstract: This paper focuses on how hearing impairment plays a role of risk factor in psychosis, as it is always been a neglected risk factor in psychosis. Major focuses has been given on genetic and environmental factors. This article focuses on various risk factors but mainly explain the hearing impairment as a risk factor and potential reversibility. Similar to visual hallucinations in visually impaired patients, auditory hallucinations often occur in adults with hearing impairment. Research on this association is limited, so present paper explores this association.

Abstract: Menstruation is a normal physiological cycle that occurs in female reproductive system for preparing the uterus for pregnancy. Since time immemorial menstruation has been regarded as impure. Women in most of the parts of India had to go through hardships during their menstrual cycle due to religious norms and cultural rituals related to menstruation. Menstruating women are isolated from the society and not allowed to be a part of societal and family functions as they are considered dirty. Women living in a society crowded with menstruation related myth are definitely struggling with their mental health along with physical health. Strategies are undertaken to eradicate menstrual related problems. India still is a victim of serious menstrual myth according to our religion, society, cultures and traditions. This review focuses on the various age old menstrual myths and the impact it has on the physical and mental health of women.

Abstract: The role of behavioural factors in risk research remains unclear despite a plethora of related research. This study provides a coherent assessment of behavioural and attitudinal factors as causes of RTAs on the Accra –Kumasi-Tamale (AKATA) Corridor. Using the mixed methods design, the study also analyses the contribution of perceived risk among road users on the corridor. The study showed that the distribution of RTAs on the AKATA Corridor by socio-demographic variables mirrors that of the national situation. The results showed that personal characteristics of drivers, such as sex, age, and education, are related quite well to road traffic accident occurrence. The results also demonstrated that behavioural factors and risk perception are by far the most important factors influencing aberrant driving and RTAs on the AKATA Corridor. In other to cure the problem the Ministry of Transport (MOT), acting through the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC), The Driver Vehicle And Licencing Authority (DVLA), and Government Technical Training Centre (GTTC), should establish fully the National Drivers’ Academy in all ten regions in Ghana to provide professional training and development/refresher courses to drivers to improve their knowledge and skills. It is also recommended that there is the need to invest and concentrate efforts on driver education, training, and a progressive development for road safety officials, especially for personnel of the MTTU and for commercial drivers.
