Abstract: People have been using different platforms to discuss some of the world’s most serious issues and problems. In this age of information, the social media is now one of the primary mediums used to convey information or messages. People nowadays have been communicating their thoughts through social media memes, normally, either to downplay issues or just to indirectly voice out what is in their mind. These memes also serve as a mode of starting conversation. This paper analyzed how internet memes has been used by Filipino netizens to achieve a particular purpose while discussing or presenting the issues or problems through memes based on their perspective. Using Social Convergence Theory (SCT) or the fantasy theme analysis, this study found out the unique rhetorical visions or shared fantasies formed in these memes. Then, using the Invitational Rhetoric Theory (IRT), the study found out that the analyzed memes mostly served different purposes and did not created an environment that encourages audiences to share their perspective. The study concluded that if a meme has secured and created an environment that encourages audiences to share their perspective, there would be a considerable amount of engagement it will garner.

Abstract: Introduction: Ectopic thyroid is any thyroid tissue not located in the usual position. The most common place is lingual and sublingual region. The prevalence of ectopic thyroid gland in healthy individuals is 1/100000 but it is higher in patients with thyroid diseases. They are usually benign. The risk for malignancy is less than 1%. We present a case of a patient with sublingual thyroid. Case Description: The patient H.L. female, 63 years old from Tirana, Albania first came in contact with the Endocrinology specialist with complains of fatigue and difficulty of swallowing food. She referred to surgery of the thyroid gland (nodulectomy) 15 years ago. Since then, she had not required any medication because her laboratory analyses were always inside the normal range. Hormonal findings were normal. A neck ultrasound was performed and both lobes of the gland of the thyroid were in normal position, without evidence of nodules. In the superior part of the neck, apart from the thyroid, a vegetation was seen. So, a CT (head and neck) was done and the multinodular structure in the sublingual region of the head looked like a thyroid lobe. The patient was referred to the Nuclear Imaging Department where a Thyroid Scintigraphy with Tc99m was performed. The sublingual vegetation had a higher uptake than the thyroid itself. The patient underwent surgery and the biopsy resulted in thyroid tissue, without evidence of atypical cellular proliferation. She continued with the follow ups and no other interventions or treatment were necessaire.

Conclusion: Ectopic thyroid gland is a relatively unusual development of the thyroid tissue. In most of the cases they are asymptomatic and benign. In order to evaluate them, a laboratory and imaging exploration should be conducted. If they become symptomatic or with tendency of malignancy, surgery should be recommended.

Abstract: The primary purpose of this study was to find out the extent to which inventory management practices influence  organizational performance in the Kenyan retail sector, specifically targeting the large retail stores in the county of Kisii. The specific objectives of this research project research are to determine the influence of inventory auditing, inventory demand forecasting, automation, and inventory turnover on organization performance in the retail stores of Kisii County. The study took place in large retail stores in Kisii town. The survey design methodology was adopted for the study with a target population of 810 large retail stores drawn from different segments of the retail sector. Sample selection used stratified random sampling based on the size of the retail stores. The findings thereafter indicated that 97% of the respondents were in agreement that stock taking procedures have disclosed the possibility of fraud pilferage theft and loss thus leading to savings. 94% agreed that stock taking facilitates comparison of physical stocks with stock records. 92% of the respondents were in agreement that records have helped in preparation of financial statements which show the performance of their business overtime. 69 % of the respondents agreed that at some predetermined time they count inventory by use of periodic cycle counting. The findings further indicated that 39% of the respondents were in agreement that they have advanced forecasting tools that enable improvement in cost reduction, 48% agreed that they have put in place correct forecasting methods thus reduction in stock outs, 77% of the respondents were in agreement that by conducting social media surveys they have known their customers preferences and changes leading to customer satisfaction. 57 % of the respondents agreed that regular forecasting accuracies leads to increased profits findings reveal that 56% of the respondents agreed that they use automated tools and techniques for order processing to enhance timely delivery of inventory to the organization. 49% agreed that their computers systems are linked with the suppliers in a real time environment. 56% of the respondents agreed that they have put in place electronic point of sale systems and closed-circuit televisions to monitor merchandise loss. 53 % of the respondents agreed that their systems are effective to deter merchandise loss from the retail stores, and 56% of the respondents agreed that their systems facilitate accurate information on the current inventory on stock. The researcher recommended that the retailers in Kisii town should incorporate quantitative inventory demand forecasting tools and market research methods in inventory demand forecasting this is because this will form an essential component since it is the driver for supply chain decisions, demand forecasting will also help in optimization of inventory levels, it will also serve as a vital information for inventory levels this will reduce the bullwhip effect leading to optimization of inventory levels and reduction of stock outs and overstocking. The researcher further recommends that the retailers should take advantage of automation in areal time environment to enhance timely delivery to their premises, the systems should be well maintained to deter merchandise loss and theft from the retail outlets, automation should be able to create fewer layers; each employee to be responsible for a more diverse set of responsibilities, real time data in the retail sector will empower fast decision making as when the need arises. The use of Point of sales (EPOS)should always show which product categories are most profitable, the products that are popular so that procurement officers will purchase strategically so that at the end will determine what will be in stock. The researcher further recommends that the pick and pack processes in Kisii retail outlets should be able to keep customers happy and improve accuracy, the retailers should consider automation, most of the retailers spent 60% of their time walking and moving product around they should instead embrace conveyer technology to reduce their extensive travel time. The attendants should walk less to reduce fatigue, they can make mistakes while tired this will lead to inventory loss and errors.

Abstract: Play is a powerful and important activity. It has a natural and positive influence on children’s social, physical, emotional and cognitive development. The best learning happens when children play in the classroom. Public schools are fantastic places for children to learn through play. A play based learning environment encourages talking, reading, thinking and writing. Play needs to be brought back into the early childhood classrooms in some way. Play is vital to the academic growth of your young students. Your children learn through play, as your students interact with one another and various instruments. For your students overall developing the skills various ways has to incorporate more play in the classroom. The author give out through this paper concept of play based learning, some importance of play based learning and discuss six unique ways to incorporate more play in the classroom.

Abstract: The study was undertaken to describe the level of Service Quality and Customer Loyalty of Millennial Guest in Selected Restaurant in Toril, Davao City. The study used the non-experimental quantitative research design, employing descriptive-predictory technique. The data were gathered from 400 millennial guest in eight different restaurant around Toril and using a downloaded questionnaire and through random sampling technique. The result showed that the level of Customer Loyalty of Millennial guest was very high which indicated that the items relating to the service quality were always manifested.  In addition result showed that the level of Customer Loyalty of Millenial guest in the restaurant was every high which indicated that the items relating to the customer loyalty were always manifested Further, data showed that there was a significant relationship between the service quality and customer loyalty of millenial guest in selected restaurants in Toril and that the overall service quality practices of millennial guest significantly influenced the customer loyalty. Among the domains of services quality, reliability, assurance and empathy significantly influenced customer loyalty. Likewise, between the two domains, the assurance in its singular capacity is the best predictor of customer loyalty.

Abstract: The study determines the current situation of the respondents in classifying and identifying the burdens they feel and encounter whilst having the diseases and/or living with infected clients. The researchers can comprehend the effects in terms of physical, social, mental and emotional aspects that relates from day to day living of the respondents. Because of the stigma attached to it and long term treatment, they are experiencing difficulties and low self-esteem even the household members. There are some changes on their health status and psycho-social status, being judged and were not able to do or enjoy life normally because of suffering from disease.

The study found out that the four aspects mentioned above of the respondents were profoundly affected, though the study shows there’s no one inflicted violence against them. Still, words are far more hurting than actions. They naturally felt burdens such as jealousy, feeling ashamed of the disease and discomfort. Ways of approach in alleviation of burdens through treatment and prevention was escalated.

The researcher recommends the following: Early detection of disease, regular check-up, proper hygiene/cleanliness, nutrition, avoid contact with untreated patients and seeking knowledge especially health education should be intensified. As the famous quote of Ralph Waldo Emerson goes “The First wealth is Health”.

Abstract: This study discuss how educational software could be used in developing nations to further education. To do so, will discuss why quality education is important, how influencers can be used to raise awareness about this topic and help fundraise to find a solution, how developing countries can improve their educational systems by using digital media platforms and “distance education” techniques, and what methods used in the United States could be applied in developing countries to help them decrease analphabetism. This research will show how digital media can change the education system for our future generations to make a more positive impact in the world. For this research, will use the textual analyses, using the Rhetorical Criticism methodology. This method will help me describe, analyze, interpret, and evaluate the cultural meanings of the sources of information. The results show digital media keeps evolving with the world and lets people bring to life ideas that they have never thought possible to exist on the internet. Digital media can be used for many purposes, from digital fundraising to digital classrooms. The UN could greatly benefit from using a good digital media strategy. This field could indeed contribute to a lot of things in its attempt to achieve the goal of quality education throughout the world by 2030. Digital media can be applied in any field to achieve any goal. One of those goals could be Quality Education. More research must be conducted showing this relationship

Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to determine the best combination of attributes of an HRM degree as preferred by the college students in terms of quantitative, non-experimental research design employing location, facilities, affiliation, accreditation, and instructors using Conjoint analysis. There were 300 respondents in the study selected through stratified random sampling. Data were gathered using a survey questionnaire consisting of 20 plan cards. Results of the study reveal that attribute of instructors claimed the highest importance value rating followed by affiliation, accreditation, location, and facilities. A conjoint model of located near their household or their homes; provides exclusive state of the art facilities, locally and internationally affiliated, accredited, and all faculty members are Master’s degree holders was derived to help schools offering Hotel and Restaurant Management Programs improve their marketing activities.

Abstract: This study was purposely used to assess the influence of emotional intelligence on job performance of part time academic staff in private universities in Kampala Metropolitan Area. This was due to lack of closely related research; the implications of emotional intelligence was a mystery especially among such part time academics. Imagine this was no such a study about private universities in the Kampala Metropolitan, Uganda’s most strategically competitive area in university education business. In that case, study investigated the effects of self-control and relationship management competencies on job performance of the same university academic staff in the metropolitan. These competencies are the basic constructs of emotional intelligence and were adapted from two of the theoretic Big five personality traits, namely neuroticism and agreeableness. Job performance was contextualised as a composition of task performance, contextual performance, and adaptive performance. As a descriptive and correlational research, the study adopted a quantitative and qualitative approach. It was found out that most of the target university academics were highly intelligent, emotionally (x̅ =3.44; s=1.16), and performed their jobs virtually well (x̅ = 3.04; s=1.19). Their self and social relations management competencies together predicted 84.1% of job performance. It was concluded that increase in emotional intelligence among such employees significantly led to equally better job performance, and vice versa.  As such, it was recommended that any university education stakeholders should strive to enhance or maintain highly productive emotional intelligence among such university academics of study.

Abstract: The concept of human personality was never explicitly explained in the history of business human resource research. Particularly as an employee behavioural quality, its influence on job performance was overlooked in previous business policy and scholarly analyses of part time academics. This lacuna was quite rampant about private universities in Uganda including Kampala Metropolitan Area, whose quality of academics should have attracted less public suspicion. Aware of that knowledge gap, this study sought to assess the effects of personal, job and corporate behavioural competencies, as facets of employee behavioural personality, on job performance of the target university academics in the metropolitan. The three competencies of research are mirrored in the Big five personality theory especially in the two traits of extraversion and agreeableness. The traits were adopted as the theoretical framework that underpinned research. The study also conceptualised job performance as a function of task performance, contextual performance, and adaptive performance. The research methodology was quantitative and qualitative based on a descriptive- correlational research design. The main study findings were that the behavioural personality competencies of study were at x̅ =3.57; s=0.96 largely high enough among part time university academics of research. Their job performance was at x̅ = 3.04; s=1.19 virtually high. Behavioural personality competencies predicted 76.4% of job performance. Despite public concerns, private university employees including part time academics can possess a good behavioral personality, enough to enhance their performance. In that case, university education stakeholders should jointly work to maintain or achieve value for money behavior and productivity of the target university academics.

Abstract: Aware of the complexity of personality, its misconception and research obscurity among part time academics as employees in private universities, this article specifically centred on technical personality. The purpose of the study was achieved by analysing this personality competence and its effect on job performance of the target university academics. Technical personality was analysed based on work competencies adapted from personality descriptors of two of the personality traits advanced in the Big five personality theory (Goldberg, 1990; Kendra, 2016) namely, conscientiousness and openness. The main personality competencies of study included intellectual competence, class teaching competencies and research supervision competence. Job performance was conceptualized and analysed in this study as task performance, contextual performance, and adaptive performance. A descriptively correlational research design was used based on the quantitative and qualitative approach. It was found out that all the technical personality competencies of the target part time university academics were largely high enough at x̅ =3.43; s=1.15 and their job performance was virtually high at x̅ = 3.04; s=1.19. Such technical competencies altogether significantly predicted an average 80.3% of job performance. In academia therefore, employees including the part time in any private university can have highly rated personalities in all such specific technical competencies. That’s not inconsequential, because the higher the level of technical competence the better such employees would perform their jobs and vice versa.

Abstract: The research includes the study of aesthetic values of contemporary murals of the (new) Nava Getavana Buddhist temple, In terms of design, color, theme, and forming elements used within the mural work, and the extent of the connection between the mural work and the building's function.

The (new) Nava Getavana Buddhist temple murals are influenced by the mythological and traditional thought of the Buddhist religion, as they document the most important events in the history of Buddhism until the modern time. To the twentieth century.

This mural work was painted by The artist Upasena Gunawardena of Sri Lankan origin, who gave the work a kind of originality through the used color group and color technique, which are the traditional colors (natural oxides and dyes)

Which indicates that this mural work achieves the connection with the Buddhist identity and the mythical thought recognized in Indian society.
