Abstract:  Early Childhood Education teachers should be aware of the importance of values education in educational practice from an early age. With regard to their training, values education is usually configured as a subject, and in most cases optional, in initial training, and in many cases there is a significant lack of training in this aspect. The new educational law implemented in Spain, known as LOMLOE, places special emphasis on educating children in responsible consumption. In this sense, we propose in this article a didactic proposal to work on education in values, specifically education for consumption, at this educational stage. We believe that this proposal may be of great interest to both active teachers and future teachers.

Abstract:  Restaurant industry is continuously growing not only locally but internationally. As Filipino people love eating and travelling, restaurants located in different tourist spots became one of the trends today. For the owners of restaurants, customer satisfaction on their quality of service is important. This research explored the customer satisfaction on the service quality of the selected dining restaurants in the city of Tagaytay. The study used quantitative research design and was conducted in five restaurants such as Claw Daddy's, Kenny Rogers, Leslies, Mama Lou's and Mang Jose. There were 100 respondents in the study who were the guests of the restaurants (20 each) in which the researchers distributed questionnaire. The results of the study showed the customers have the highest level of satisfaction on the service quality of the selected restaurants as all the dimensions of service quality such as reliability, assurance, empathy, tangibles, and responsiveness got a weighted mean equivalent to the verbal interpretation of “Excellent”. With regards to the significant difference in each demographic profile, this study reveals that there is a significant difference on their perception on the service quality when grouped according to gender in reliability, assurance, and empathy. In terms of age, there is significant difference on the customers’ satisfaction specifically in assurance and tangibles. On the other hand, this study also reveals that there is no significant difference on the customer satisfaction to service quality when grouped according to their civil status, occupation, and educational attainment.

Abstract: Speaking more than one language can change the way of thinking. In this research I will discuss how can learning more than one language effect and change the way of thinking positively. Many language-learning scientists and psychologists proved this approach, based on experience on people since their early years until they grew up. Moreover, by exposing into different cultures and societies they became more advanced, smart, and improved their awareness. They became more creative in solving issues and looking to things in different point of views. The goal of this research is to confirm the role of learning languages in improving the way of thinking. In addition, to encourage people to learn new languages to expand their horizons.

Abstract: This study investigates the usage of information sources and services by students at the Govt. Degree College, Billawar. A structured questionnaire was framed to collect data. A sample size of 300 students from the college was selected randomly out of which 250 students were given complete information regarding the survey. Questionnaires were distributed to the students personally by hand in order to get the maximum responses. The collected data was organized and interpreted by using a simple statistical method.

Abstract: Based on a legal analysis of the Maputo Protocol on Women’s Rights in Cameroon, the work analyses both the positive and negative impacts of the Maputo Protocol, proposed rectifications, criticisms raised after ratification and possible implications on women’s rights in Cameroon.  Ratification by Cameroon poses relative problems.  The methodology adopted includes collecting archival material from academic research and legal discipline.  Findings show that most women lack knowledge of the Maputo Protocol’s existence and thus are unaware of its relevance and applicability.  The work benefits governments, women groups, and legal scholars.

Abstract: Banks raises the interest rate on loan repayment so as to earn revenue that is enough to cater for the deposit costs, other expenses such as non-repayment of loans. The banks also cannot raise these interest rates too high as this can create poor relationship with its clients. The balance between the two poses a challenge within the banking sector. Therefore, this study sought to investigate the effects of operational costs on financial performance of tier 1 commercial banks in Kenya. A descriptive research design was employed. The 8 tier 1 commercial banks in Kenya formed the unit of analysis. The study data was obtained from the secondary source including the audited financial statements of these banks. The analysis of the data was descriptively done using mean and standard deviations. In addition, the application of inferential statistics was done to determine the association between the variables. The study found that operational cost had a positive significant effect on the financial performance of tier 1 Commercial Banks in Kenya. The study concluded that that there were effective policies at the bank to govern the operating cost and administrative cost of the Banks. The Non-interest income, like trading income and fees, makes up a higher portion of the profits of larger banks. The study recommended that all the Tier 1commercial banks in Kenya should have effective strategic plans and operating procedures, according to the management of the banks, as this will save operating expenses.

Abstract: Literature has been used to teach the English language for a considerably long period of time. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of specifically using African literary texts to achieve cultural awareness via cross-cultural reading in the field of teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The study extends to establish why African literary texts have more to offer compared to other literary texts from elsewhere in terms of the capacity to teach English as a language.

The effectiveness and broad benefits of including literature for the purpose of teaching English as a Foreign Language or indeed as a Second Language is highlighted in this study.

This study examined fifteen chapters of the novel Things Fall Apart to assess how culture is portrayed and how this portrayal of culture helps readers in cross-cultural reading to be more aware of the African culture including their own culture from recognizing and appreciating the differences in the elements that constitute their own cultures.

Abstract: It is commonly stated that culture is one of the factors that may affect leadership styles, but the question arises as to the extent of this impact. This article seeks to explore the current leadership style in Umluj College at Tabuk University, Saudi Arabia and to determine the relationship between leadership, gender and work engagement. To discover whether or not the findings could be applied to Umluj College, this study devised hypotheses to test the theories of leadership, which could either be supported or rejected after analysing the gathered data. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches were used to gather data and reach findings. Triangulation was implemented to compare outcomes and reach conclusive results. After testing the hypotheses and using theories to compare and contrast data, findings revealed that transformational leadership is the dominant style of leadership at Umluj College. Furthermore, both males and females in the college were found to be transformational leaders. This shows that leadership style at Umluj College is independent from gender. Moreover, transformational leadership does not have a significant influence on work engagement at this college.

Abstract: Technology is one of the main components in improving the process of teaching and learning in colleges and institutions, especially for the study of the English language. It could allow the teacher to provide a lecture to the class that is more instructive. Since teachers can play English-language videos, music, documentaries, and even live theatre productions, technology is crucial for the field of teaching. The goal of the current research is to learn more about and analyse Moroccan students' attitudes regarding using technology to learn English. The study found that the majority of the students had a positive attitude toward using technology for learning English. The study also indicated that various forms of technology can be used to study English, but the participants used computers the most frequently. Data was collected from 212 Moroccan college students who did not major in English. The survey also discovered gender disparities in ICT attitudes, with female students being more at ease with utilizing technology for English language learning or study. It is advised that teachers provide their students access to useful websites and help them find trustworthy content to develop their language skills since technology is becoming an increasingly important tool for students learning English.

Abstract: Traditional mandarin nursery rhymes have characteristics that cannot be compared with other literary forms, so using them in mandarin learning can promote learners' communicative ability. Since the words of traditional Mandarin nursery rhymes contain actual language used, they provide learners with the opportunity to be exposed to the target language naturally. In this environment of natural contact, learners can learn Mandarin happily and comfortably, learn Mandarin effectively, and reduce the burden of Mandarin learning. Therefore, if the traditional Mandarin nursery rhymes are used properly for learning, they can be applied to the actual field of Mandarin education, and it will be possible to effectively guide students.

Abstract: This paper seeks to discuss the practice of child marriage in Zanzibar community as an existing culture. The custom treats child marriage as one of the accepted forms of marriage in Zanzibar. However, this practice is not in compliance with the international laws. With the change of time, the child marriage has now taken a different shape and treated as “forced marriage”, or is popularly known as “Ndoa za Mkeka” in Zanzibar. The paper examines the reasons and the consequences of forced marriage and its impact on various issues faced by children in Zanzibar such as early pregnancy, school dropouts, poverty and health issues. Although it is against the socio-economic trends according to the international standard, to some extent, this practice of child marriage is still accepted by many as they claim it is not against the Shariah percept. The methodology adopted in this paper is based on the content analysis of reports, leading textbooks, journal articles as well as structured interviews that have been conducted with the relevant people in Zanzibar.  It concludes with a series of recommendations and suggestions for improvement in regulating the practice of child marriage in Zanzibar.

Abstract: Tourism economics reveals the laws of demand and supply of various tourism products and the economic relations involved. The complex theories and mathematical models in Tourism Economics Course can easily make students lose interest in the course. We find that the combination of case teaching and classroom experiments can increase students’ interest in tourism economics courses. Students are often hard to correctly interpret the economic significance of regression coefficients. It is of great significance for the teacher to offer the economic significance of various regression coefficients to students. In addition, this paper suggests that teachers should employ famous tourist attractions near the university as teaching cases.

Abstract: It has long been acknowledged that Teaching through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS) method is one of the most powerful and effective methods for language acquisition. The Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method, which stresses the use of real materials and engaging activities, has also been used quite extensively with the claim that it is highly effective at promoting language proficiency. In this study, a comparison of TPRS and CLT methods are carried out to find out the likely effects of these methods on language learners’ various motivational factors. The present study is quantitative research in which “Motivation and Language Learning with Students of English” survey is used to collect data. The motivational factor questionnaire was completed by 155 students.78 of the participants studied English through TPRS and 77 of the participants studied English through CLT. The Google Docs forms were sent to participants’ teachers and the teachers shared the documents in WhatsApp groups with their students. The first section of the questionnaire enquired about the participants' school, gender, and level grade. The second section covers questions about motivational elements including integration, instrumental, effort, valence, and expectancies. This study's findings will aid educators and language instructors in determining the most effective method for promoting motivation in EFL students and enhancing motivation for learning language and it proved That TPRS students are more motivated than CLT students across the board.
