Abstract: When somebody is planning to start a business, it is important that from the beginning an appropriate name is found for the company. In this study it is considered if this step is as important for the nonprofit organizations as for profit-oriented ones, as well as identifies those key words that could improve organizational performance. The aim of this article to highlight the importance of marketing at the nonprofit organizations, as it focuses on the importance of name at the field of fundraising. With the help of a database the connection between word frequency and the size of donations is analyzed as a means of highlighting names that could help the fundraising of these organizations. As a conclusion it is considered that some words in the name of a nonprofit organization could positively influence the funds that they could achieve.

Abstract: The present article is mainly throwing light upon the work which was carried out by the illustrious son of our nation to one whom popularly known as Babasaheb. Baratratna Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (1891-1956).

While fighting to the unparallel discrimination on the earth as Chaturvarna caste system of India of untouchability, he gave the born by his deep thinking to various types of writings to empower the untouchables and the same writings have been used by him for the eradication and annihilation of untouchability. He has defended with discriminative Chaturvarna — the categorization of Hindu society and own the victory by becoming the father of Indian Constitution. His main aim was to destroy all kinds of social discriminations by writing different books and research articles.  As a socialist, he advocated abolition of all kinds of social discriminations. His research mainly devoted to the equality, fraternity and justice to all. In his writings He has proved by the establishing the rule of law in this country through his prestigious and painstaking work of Indian constitution by replacing pre-existing caste system of the society into four classes which was based on injustice decimation not only on the basis of caste, but also on the type of sex either male or female, many limitations and penalties was awarded to the shudra’s as untouchables and all the women’s were also treated as inferior as shudras. His contribution in the nation building through including of various provisions in Indian Constitution i.e. eradicated the existence of untouchability by the seventeenth article in third part of Indian constitution as fundamental right ,  will justify and protect generations of coming eras.

Therefore to knowing about his writings will empower and ignite the coming generations as the treasure of knowledge of nation.

Abstract: In an era when ICT is playing an increasingly central role in all areas of activity, there are indications that it is not always incorporated into the educational process by teachers as productively as possible. The purpose of this study is to empirically investigate the attitude of science teachers in Cameroon towards the use of ICT in the nation's schools, to explain these attitudes and to capture what teachers think can be done to improve their attitudes towards the use of ICT for teaching and learning purposes. Using purposive sampling techniques, a sample of 331 was selected from science teachers in the fields of biology, chemistry and physics, who were preparing students for the Cameroon General Certificate of Education (GCE). The study takes the form of a survey that makes use of a questionnaire for data collection.  The resulting data are analysed using SPSS vision 20, to obtain F values, P values, and degree of freedom, and post hoc analysis is performed using the Tukey test. Furthermore, the technique of content analysis is deployed to analyse the open-ended questionnaire items. The results indicate that science teachers in the Cameroon Anglophone subsystem of education have positive attitudes towards the use of ICT. They also show that teachers perceive ICT as being very productive in teaching and learning, and as making the process easier. However, many respondents feel that technical support resources are lacking in the schools, school management do not view ICT as a priority, and sufficient ICT training has not been provided, leading to teachers' lack of expertise in using ICT, all of which are prominent factors hindering teachers' readiness and confidence in using new technology in the teaching/learning process. For the consistent use of ICT by teachers, it is recommended among other priorities that teacher training and professional development oriented policies should support ICT-related teaching models that encourage students to play an active role in learning activities. In addition, emphasis must be placed on the pedagogy underpinning the use of ICTs in the teaching and learning process. It is hoped that the results of this study can be used in shaping innovative practices in the Cameroon Educational System.

Abstract: Family is the abode where the society takes birth and it is the pillar where the nation finds its strength. Kuriakose Elias Chavara a man of immense astuteness and novel thoughts had lofty apparition and great concern for the families. He was born on 10th February 1805, in the village of Kainakary in Kerala, India. At the age of 24 he was ordained as a priest. His being was highly committed for people and for the welfare of the society. He believed that strengthening of the individual can lead to formation of stable families which in turn can empower the society. He was a social reformer who stood for the marginalized, an innovative educationist who opened the school for low caste, an eminent spiritual leader who renewed the face of the church, popularized the press, media and founded two religious congregations for men and women. At the age of 66, 1871 January 3rd he left for his heavenly abode. On November 23rd 2014 he was canonized as saint by Catholic Church. The purpose of the study is to explore his vision on family. To meet this end the study uses a deep literature search.

Abstract: With rapid economic growth, energy demand in India has been rising rapidly, and India is now the fourth largest consumer of crude oil in the world. Unfortunately, India has to import most of its oil requirement, which leads to severe pressure on the economy when the oil prices rise. Thus, estimations of crude oil demand and projections for the future should be useful to policy makers in making appropriate supply arrangements for the future.

In this paper empirically estimates falling of crude prices and position of India’s oil industry. We analyze the relationship trend of production over its consumption and production with import. Then crude prices effect on India’s inflation, its importance to Reserve Bank of India, its impact on fiscal and tread deficit and Indian oil companies. Finally by considering all these effect and impacts we figure out future hold for India considering crude prices.

Therefore, India should take various measures to improve efficiency in the use of petroleum products and try to enhance supplies such as through production sharing agreements by Indian oil companies with other countries. We also need to increase use of nuclear, hydro, solar, and other alternative energy sources, as Western European countries have been doing. Careful planning to ensure that future petroleum requirements can be met will be useful in sustaining rapid economic growth in the future.

Abstract: For those who have been following Indian politics, this has been quite an exciting year. It culminated in an election where over five weeks, 550 million Indians—66 percent of the electorate—turned out to vote. And what we got at the end of it is a historic result. The upshot of the 2014 election made BJP the India's premier national party and the Congress has been reduced to a regional party of two states in southern India and two districts in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP’s single-handed majority in the Lok Sabha is noteworthy for two reasons. First, no party has achieved this feat after 1984. Second, no party has received more than 30 per cent of the total votes after the 1991 Lok Sabha elections. Such tectonic shifts are rare in a democratic polity. The BJP’s tremendous victory in this election is not only a reflection of the personal popularity of Narendra Modi, and utter disenchantment with the Congress-led government, but also of terrific campaign planning. The good news for BJP just keeps pouring in while for Congress which has lost the official right to be the opposition party, it indeed is time for some serious introspection.

Abstract: The success of SGSY is mainly dependant on the coordinated efforts of all the external agencies acting as facilitators whether Government, Panchayats, Banks. In order to achieve better coordination among them and to stress on the joint approach, important government circulars relevant to SGSY. Totally there are 223 groups with a coverage beneficiary numbers 2439 spread over the 3 revenue divisions in the district. Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh has three revenue divisions. Out of three revenue divisions one division such Tenali division has been selected based on the edge of number of SHGs in Bhattiprolu and Pittalavanipalem mandals. The study required both primary and secondary data. The prime objective of this paper is to study the funding and repayment pattern of SHGs under SGSY. It is dissatisfying to observe that a majority of the beneficiaries stated that they were dissatisfied with the repayment schedule of monthly. It is suggested that the state and central level officers should discuss the repayment schedule to relax from monthly to quarterly.

Abstract: Foreign-population has rapidly increased in the Republic of Korea and little is known about the effect acculturation on the risk non-communicable diseases among these new comers. A cross-sectional survey was carried out with 391 participants. Using logistic regression, the research questions were whether the acculturation process measured by duration of residence in Korea might be linked to a higher obesity, or whether Korean diet favors obesity and consequently the risk of non-communicable diseases. Hypertension, diabetes, cancer and the body mass index were significantly associated with duration of residence in Korea.  Foreign-born teachers who resided in Korea for >6 years had greater odds of reporting hypertension (OR= 2.07), heart disease (OR= 6.58), and diabetes (OR=8.66) compared to those who resided in Korea <1 year or 1 to 5 years. Foreign-born teachers between 41 and 50 years old also had greater odds of reporting hypertension (OR= 3.29), heart disease (OR= 4.39), diabetes (OR=11.09), cancer (OR=38.7) and being overweight/obese (OR=1.91) compared to those <30 years old. As for the gender, men had 2.3 greater odds (95% CI 1.26-4.20) of reporting hypertension and 1.89 greater odds (95% CI 1.26-2.83) of being overweight/obese compared to women. Finally, active smokers had 5.15 greater odds (95% CI 1.19-22.34) of reporting heart diseases than non-smokers and teachers with one of the parents with hypertension had 1.89 odds or reporting hypertension (95% CI 1.04-3.41). Eating typical food of Korea over 5 times a week was not associated with any non-communicable diseases nor contributed to increase BMI.

Abstract: Women have been seen as a source of traditional and sexual gratification for ages. Owing to the age old gender biases they also tend to become the targets of varied forms of violence and harsh practices directed towards them from the society.  The most common form of torture that they suffer is abduction and kidnapping of women for the purpose of trafficking, to be used them for numerous reasons including prostitution.

The reported cases of abduction and kidnapping of women and girls for the year 2013 is 51881 as per the Crime in India. The rising trend if observed for the last 5 years beginning from 2009 has very alarming. The percentage variation for merely the last two years that is 2012 and 2013 has been a (35.2%) increase in the reported cases (Crime in India).

The present paper is an attempt to study this figurative rise in trend in abduction and kidnapping of women and girls over the years and an understanding of the progressive offenses that it leads to and the social perspectives and mind-sets that has been the basis for such offences. This paper also proceeds to suggest some measures to stringently enforce the available laws so as to prevent these acts of violation towards women. The researcher has focused primarily on articles, NCRB reports, journals, newspapers and statute documents.

Abstract: Study of small community in regional setting attains prominence in the present contemporary society. Oraon--a tribal community recognised by the Government of India--inhabits mainly in Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal, but pronounce differently in different states namely Orang, Oram, Uram and Urang etc. In the Barak valley of Assam it is popularly known as Urang. The community--owing to it its initial days of economic deprivation and socio-historical problems--created from within and imposed from outside--migrated to the different regions of the state during the British Period. A large number of Oraons came and settled down in the Barak valley during that period. But unlike other states and regions, where they are known as tribes, in the Barak valley they are enlisted as Other Backward Class (OBC). What made them OBCs here? Whether they are assimilated/absorbed vis-à-vis de-tribalised/de-constructed them willingly or they are coercively subjugated by the dominant-hegemonic power structure of the valley/region they presently live in? The study proposes to investigate these two important issues/problems of the Oraons in the Barak valley.

Abstract: This article describes a part of the findings of the study about collaborative teaching and learning namely group work, pair work and role of the English teacher in English classes of engineering faculties at Jawzjan University (JU). The findings of the study revealed that the students preferred to perform group work and pair work, and they are interested to do lots of activities in English classes. Furthermore, they preferred the teacher to be a facilitator or guide in the class. Based on the findings some concrete recommendations were given to develop the English language program of engineering students at the said university.

Abstract: Religion has always dominated Indian soul. Hindu scriptures have given immense significance to the notion of ‘Dāna’ which was made over to earn religious merit and deliverance.  Jainism and Buddhism also consider Dāna as the most effective means of securing merit and attaining liberation. Thousands of royalty, laity and ecclesiastics have recorded their donations in the inscriptions spanning over centuries. Courtesans as a class are not an exception to it. The courtesans have engraved their devotion and donations for the religions and deities of their choice in the inscriptions. This paper will analyze the donations made by courtesans for the propagation of the religions that they adhered to.

Abstract: Symbolism is the use of an object, person, situation or a word symbolically to represent something else in literature. Simply, it is the symbolic use of objects and things. Recently, it is very rare to find a significant work in literature without using symbolism as a basic feature of that literary work. This due to poetry, drama, fiction, novels, etc.  This study consists of three chapters. Chapter one is an abstract which deals with symbolism in literature. Chapter two presents Conrad's life and works. Finally, chapter three deals with symbolism in Heart of Darkness. However, in Conrad's novel "Heart of Darkness" symbolism was a basic and very important issue that cannot be ignored. The reason for this is Conrad's belief that a good literary work should be written symbolically. The entire novel was written symbolically. He makes use of every single detail in a symbolic way.

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to determine the body composition and psychomotor variables between under-19 schools and inter college basketball players. 100 Basketball players were selected as subjects (50 under-19 school players and 50 inter college players). The age of subjects ranged between 17 to 25 years. Body composition variables (body fat% & visceral fat) and psychomotor variables (speed & agility) were selected for this study. Body composition monitor with scale HBF- 361 was used to measure body fat% and visceral fat and stop watches, track, marking powder, measuring tape, two wooden blocks were used for measuring speed & agility. The results showed that there were significant differences between both the groups i.e. under-19 school and inter college basketball players for their body composition and psychomotor variables.
