Abstract: The aim of the study was to analyze the determinants of timely completion of construction projects in selected investment companies in Nairobi County. The study sought to achieve the following objectives; To determine the influence of human resource on timely completion of construction projects in investment companies in Nairobi County, to investigate the influence of project financing on timely completion of construction projects investment companies in Nairobi County, to examine the influence of project planning on timely completion construction projects in investment companies in Nairobi County and to explore the influence of supervision of work on timely completion of construction project in investment companies in Nairobi County.  It was anchored on top management theory and resource dependency theory. This study used descriptive survey methodology. The population of the study comprised of all the 60 employees working in project departments from the 10 selected investment companies in Nairobi County. Primary data was used, where the questionnaires were administered to the respondents through the drop and the pick method and once collected the data was analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics and Microsoft Excel to calculate the frequency percentages, mean score as a measure of central tendency and standard deviation as a measure of data dispersion. Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 26 was used to perform correlation analysis to establish the degree of relationship between respondents' opinion on the four research objectives and the implementation of education projects. The study established that there was a relationship between human resource management and timely completion of the construction projects. Qualified and skilled staff has been cited as the main aspect of human resource that is highly needed in this industry’s success. The study revealed that finances play a greater role on the project timely performance since when finances are available; nothing can stop the process when it has taken off. Proper financing from ready local banks will help in the faster undertakings even in mega projects After evaluating the responses, it is easily to conclude that there is a relationship between project planning and timely completion of construction projects. Failure to plan is planning to fail. Both human resource and financial should be properly and adequately utilized for the success of the projects. Similar studies should be conducted on other organizations or different geographical areas such as Turkana County to ascertain the sustainability of such results of this study on the determinants of timely completion of construction projects in investment companies in Nairobi County.

Abstract: This study used phenomenological approach in exploring the lived experiences of Bachelor of Science in Statistics student in the Flexible Learning(FL) in their calculus 2 subject in Samar State University during covid 19 pandemic. Seventeen (17) students participated in the study. Participants are Bachelor of Science in Statistics second year students of Samar State University for first semester for the school year 2020 - 2021; From the data analyses, four major themed emerged: (1) Follow the stay at home government policy ; (2) Financial (3) Learning difficulties and barriers and (4) Self - Learning Skills. The result suggest that these student participants experienced Learning difficulties and barriers because of some factors such as dependence to the teacher and other classmates, technological, individual and community barriers but because of their desire to achieve their goal and dreams to finish their studies they try to break their learning difficulties and barriers in their calculus 2 class or subject and be motivated to make the requirements  to pass the subject. Their lived experiences can encourage and inspired students experiencing hardship, anxieties and problems to bit covid 19 pandemic to pursue their education despite of the challenges. Based on the data analysis in this study the results concluded that the live experiences of the Bachelor of Science in Statistics students in Calculus 2 class,  Flexible learning can be a learning modalities in time of covid - 19 pandemic crisis.

Abstract: Universal Health Coverage (UHC) means that all people have access to the health services that they need without the risk of financial hardship when paying for them (WHO, 2010). The main objective of this study was to examine the influence of strategic sourcing on the sustainability of universal healthcare coverage by the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority with the following specific objectives of the study; to establish the influence of strategic supplier selection on the sustainability of universal healthcare coverage by Kenya Medical Supplies Authority, to assess the influence of supplier relationship management on the sustainability of universal healthcare coverage by Kenya Medical Supplies Authority, to examine the influence of supplier negotiation on the sustainability of universal healthcare coverage by Kenya Medical Supplies Authority and lastly determine the influence of strategic procurement planning on the sustainability of universal healthcare coverage by Kenya Medical Supplies Authority. The study adopted a cross-sectional survey. The target population of this study was 348, including management staff in Kenya Medical Supplies Authority. A semi- structured questionnaire was administered through the e-mail survey and hand delivery. Secondary data was obtained from both published and unpublished records. The questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability. Both quantitative and qualitative techniques were used to analyze the data with SPSS software program version 25. The study found that both strategic supplier selection, supplier relationship management, supplier negotiation, strategic procurement has a significant influence on the sustainability of universal healthcare coverage by the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority; hence the study recommended that managers in the humanitarian organizations in Kenya Medical Supplies Authority should include strategic sourcing practices in their strategic plan and particular investment in strategic supplier selection, supplier relationship management, supplier negotiation strategic procurement which may make it easy to bring about innovation in the organization and good information sharing to both suppliers and clients

Abstract: The study sought to establish the relationship between Strategic Planning and Growth of Women Owned Small and medium Enterprises in Kisii. Specifically, the study sought to determine the influence of: Organizational envisioning, environmental awareness, strategy options, and planning instruments on growth of Women owned Small and Medium Enterprises at Daraja Mbili market Kisii County. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The target population included women owners/managers of enterprises at Daraja market.  Data gotten showed the target population of 450 women owned enterprises. These enterprises were categorised into four different sectors/trades:  Textile, Metal fabrication, Woodwork and Other trades. Stratified random sampling technique was used to establish and access the study sample of 158 respondents. Primary and secondary data was collected. Primary data was collected by structured questionnaires. Secondary data was collected from relevant government institutional documents and publications in referred journals. The collected data was edited, coded and entered into SPSS version 16.0 software for analysis. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. In particular, Regression Analysis was used to investigate the relationships between hypothesized variables. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to investigate whether independent variables had combined effect on the dependent variable. The findings were presented using figures and tables. The study found out that SME owners have a vision in their minds but not shared amongst organizational members. This is reflected in their lack of a well stated and communicated vision, mission and value statements. However, the study found enterprise owners/managers to be well aware of the prevailing environment. The study also found that SME’s tend to rely on differentiation and focus/niche business strategy more than on cost leadership and innovation strategies. The study further established that about three quarter of entrepreneurs reported to not having any planning instrument. In conclusion, the study provides evidence that strategic planning does influence growth of SME. The study recommends institutional support to this sector in the form of business development services to motivate this sector to grow. The study also recommends to SME through their associations to build networks both within and without to help members learn best practices for sustainable growth

Abstract: Filipino learners struggle to grasp concepts in science and mathematics and frequently have low performance in these subjects. The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a Sci-Math board game to help elementary learners understand concepts in science and mathematics. The Borg and Gall R&D model was utilized by researchers, in the following phases: identification of learning competencies, development of Sci-Math board games, and validation of Sci-Math board games and instructional material experts. The findings indicate that the Sci-math board game is highly valid.

Abstract: This paper considers the ongoing burden corruption creates in the nation of Mauritania. Since gaining independence from France in 1960, the country has experienced more than ten attempted or realized military coup d’ etats. This instability created an atmosphere in which massive corruption took root and prospered within every sector of society. After more than sixty years as an independent nation, and despite enormous pressure from international governments, donors, and NGO’s, corruption does not appear to be lessening, as annual “perception of corruption” indices continue to reveal. The cost of such activities is staggering. Despite the country’s vast economic potential based on a bounty of natural resources including extensive iron ore deposits, generous natural gas reserves, large scale fishing rights and more, Mauritania remains among the world’s least advanced developing countries, ranking on the low end of human development indices. While poor governance can be blamed for a portion of this failure, the primary culprit is greed. Corruption and classism keep the upper classes wealthy and powerful, while all others remain poverty stricken, illiterate, and in poor health.

Abstract: The tourism advertisement has been used over the years to entice potential tourists to make their way to the United States for mostly recreational, holistay or other leisure activities. Tour package products and advertisements were now available on the different websites, video blog, or social media sites during this pandemic and now in an era of digital marketing. This study probed the impact of the "Tara, Cavite Tayo" video advertisement on the travel motivation among respondents and compared between demographic profiles. This shows that in all aspects using the AIDA Model of assessing a marketing strategy, there is very high agreement on the video advertising, which stimulates interest, leading to an action to travel to Cavite. This video advertisement can be studied in a variety of contexts and on social media platforms' space functions. The study also shows that were no significant differences between their assessment by comparing among the demographic profile. This clearly shows that there is a great impact of this “Tara Tayo sa Cavite” Advertisement Video on the travel motivation of prospective tourists. Based on the results, this segment points several conclusions, that are pertinent to marketers or proprietors accommodations and leisure activities in tourism in the Province of Cavite.

Abstract: Substance abuse or drug abuse are broad terms that refers to the use of any substances i.e. alcohol, Illegal drugs, prescription drugs, marijuana, cocaine, heroin, tobacco products, inhalant, narcotic and cannabis in excessive amounts. Now-a-days drug abuse is one of the burning problems in India. Some myths are encouraging the youth to have drugs, alcohol and tobacco products. The present study tested the knowledge levels of the graduate students on the social, psychological and economical myths and facts about substance abuse. The study adopted the convenience sampling method and collected the data from 317 graduate students. The data were collected through a questionnaire shared via Google form. There are some myths strongly believed by the student youth i.e. 29.3 per cent of the respondents answered that the drug addicts are homeless, unemployed, or basically losers which is a myth. And 45.4 per cent of the respondents answered that most of the addicted people get their first dose of a drug from a drug peddler or a drug pusher which is a myth. Most of the time, their friends, and relatives contact them to have substances. And 41.0 per cent of the respondents answered that the beer doesn’t have much alcohol which is a myth. Drinking beer leads gradually to hard liquor which leads to addiction. The government and non-governmental organisations should increase the awareness levels among the student youth. The parents should have a careful eye on the day to day activities of their children to prevent drug abuse.

Abstract: In-transit failures of pneumatic tyres of heavy vehicles such as passenger buses, which ply some major intercity highways in Ghana remain a great source of worry in Ghanaian transportation system. The study seeks to identify major causes of the in-transit failures of pneumatic tyres of heavy vehicles, and how to prevent such failures. Five thousand (5000) pneumatic tyres were sampled using a simple random sampling method and idiosyncrasies of some drivers of these heavy passenger buses were observed. The data gathered was analyzed using cross tabulation and simple statistics. It was found out that tubeless pneumatic tyres used by these heavy passenger buses have higher risk of failure than the tubed ones. In addition, the study revealed that some brands of tyres have higher failure rates than others under conditions such as nature of road, loading capacity and tyre maintenance. The study recommends that tyre usage rules should be complied with in order to reduce the risk of failure of pneumatic tyres among passenger vehicles.

Abstract: The goal of this qualitative study, which used a case study approach, was to find out how social media affects English language acquisition in South India. Secondary school students, language educators, teachers in both private and public schools and universities, ESL instructors, and a practitioner of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages were among the ten members of this assessment, who were purposefully chosen. The information gathered from the participants through written interviews utilising the Strengths - Weaknesses - Opportunities - Threats (SWOT) matrix is what determines the outcome. According to the findings of this study, social media provides numerous advantages or chances in English language acquisition in general. Their few traps and risks, on the other hand, have become arguably the most crucial issue and have produced impediments to learning the language. These internet-based social media sites, according to this study, might be useful platforms for providing up-to-date information, a considerable amount of language input, communication with native language speakers, and front-line learning. By and large, these social media platforms may lead to dishonesty, unscholarly and grammatical material, obscenities, and generic cooperation among language students. This study also brought to mind several practical applications of social media in English language instruction. The researcher also gave suggestions for future study opportunities on this issue.

Abstract: Language is not only a tool of communiqué, but it is a clue to discover the culture. It allows the learner to discover how other people in other cultures believe, think, and live within their societies. Besides, culture and language are two topics linked in every ELT textbook. In Morocco, the English language is considered a foreign language that students’ study from the secondary school until they graduate from high school. This study investigates the cultural contents, aspects, and categories of the Moroccan ELT textbook TICKET1. This study was conducted by employing qualitative data, particularly analyzing the cultural contents of TICKET ELT textbooks. It analyses the written and visual texts in ELT textbook «ticket 1" adopted by the ministry of education in Morocco in 2018. The results reveal that source culture is dominant, followed by the target culture, then the international culture in the ELT textbooks. Abstract: The National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) was established under the NG-CDF Act 2015 as amended in 2016 to address poverty and regional imbalances by dedicating a minimum of 2.5% of the National Government share of annual revenue towards community driven development projects in each of the country’s parliamentary jurisdictions - the constituencies identified and implemented at grassroots level. Even though there is a budget calendar with elaborate budgetary process carried out by the Fund at the Constituency every fiscal year, with the aim of having minimal budget variances, there is statistical evidence to show that the Fund’s implementation is still poor because budgets are not properly linked to the budget planning process and approved policies. This leads to huge variances and incomplete or poorly-done projects. The main objective of this study will therefore be to evaluate the factors affecting budget implementation in NG-CDF in Nyamira County, Kenya. The study will be guided by the following specific objectives; to establish the effect of monitoring and evaluation on implementation  of budgets in NG-CDF in Nyamira County, Kenya; to examine the effect of internal controls on implementation  of budgets in NG-CDF in Nyamira County, Kenya; to determine the effect of budget skills competency on implementation of budgets in NG-CDF in Nyamira County, Kenya; and, to find out the influence of accuracy of budget estimates on implementation of budgets in NG-CDF in Nyamira County, Kenya. The study will adopt a descriptive research design. The target population for the study will be 76 consisting of; the 4 NG-CDF Fund managers from the four constituencies in the County, the 20 NG-CDF Committee members from the 4 counties (five from each constituency) and the 50 Chair and Secretaries of the Project Management Committee of the 25 NG-CDF projects in the County that were carried out in the financial year 2019/2020. The study will use purposive sampling technique to select the sample of 76 respondents. The data will be collected using questionnaires. The instrument will be tested for reliability using the Cronbach’s Alpha, while validity will be tested using the Content Validity index. The data collected will be analysed using descriptive statistics of the weighted means, mode and standard deviation and inferentially using correlation and regression analysis with the help of the computer software Statistical Package of Social Sciences Version 24. The results of analysis will be represented in graphs, pie charts and tables. These findings are expected to benefit the policy makers in the NG-CDF in making workable budget policies. Abstract: The kharia tribe arrived in India from Central Asia.  Their habitat in India became the intermediate region of India.  In the long journey of almost hundreds of years, their civilization and culture also developed.  Gotra(clan), Nate Ristedari (relationship)customs developed in the kharia tribe.  Their history is hidden in their folk songs.  Kharia society was considered very prosperous in its early period.  As they settled there, they cleaned the forests and created arable land.  Periods and circumstances forced them to migrate from one place to another.  In the British rule and zamindari system, the land was plundered by the kharia.  This sequence continues even today.  Due to the absence of major means of income, their prosperity gradually decreased.  Even after the independence of the country, they remained deprived of government schemes.  With the advent of other societies, their identity started getting diluted.  Their culture, language and their history came under identity crisis.  In such a situation, seeing the existence of its existence, kharia society has done the work of organizing itself as kharia mahasabha.

Abstract: The primary goal of this research work is to comprehend the socio-psychological barriers that arise during the course of communication. Social psychology is the scientific and technical study of how people’s beliefs and feelings are impacted by the definite, actual, and implied pressure of other people. Whereas social variables are defined as broad elements at the level of human society that are connected to the social structure and social activities that have a significant impact on individuals. The communication processes that take place in people’s daily lives are heavily impacted by socio-psychological obstacles. Socio-psychological obstacles play a crucial role in the persistence of impulsive contentious situations. On the other side, they provide an essential contribution to impeding the execution of communication procedures. Overcoming socio-psychological obstacles is essential for achieving personal and professional goals, as well as forming friendly terms and relationships with one another. It is critical for individuals to put in place measures and procedures aimed at overcoming socio-psychological hurdles. Understanding the significance of socio-psychological obstacles to communication, and strategies to overcome socio-psychological barriers to communication are the key issues addressed in this study work.
