Abstract: From the sociological point of view, we can categorize offences as: victimless crime, those who are victims are themselves perpetrators of the crime; violent and non-violent crime; crime against person and; privileged and non-privileged crime.

It is pertinent to note that, an offender is not only the person who has acted wrongly but also the person who has failed to act.  And an attempt to commit an offence is itself an offence under the criminal code.  The criminal code says: “When a person begins to commit an offence, begins to put intention to adaptation to its fulfillment and manifest intension by some overt act, such a person is liable as an offender”. This paper therefore, evaluates the three tiers of criminal Justice systems in Nigeria with a view to proffer possible panacea to strengthen the system.

Abstract: One of the important functions of a state is to regulate industry.  This is more true in case of a democratic government wedded to a welfare state.  There are many industrial, developmental, environmental, and municipal and other regulations are in force.  But the most important of them is labour legislation.  The reason is that it determines the rights of labour, provides the conditions of labour and provides various agencies enabling  the labour to realize their benefits.  Labour relations occupy a significant and crucial role in any organization.  Hence manning the department dealing with labour legislation should facilitate the realization of the objectives required in the acts and also to ensure harmonious industrial relations.  Unless harmonious industrial relations are maintained, productions would be affected, human relations suffered, industrial stress arises and the national economy suffered.

Abstract: This study examines the structure, conduct and performance of catfish marketing in Oyo State, Nigeria.  A cross sectional data used for this study were collected from 60 catfish sellers with the aid of a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, gross-margin analysis and marketing efficiency measures. One measure of market concentration; the Gini coefficient was employed in measuring the market concentration structure of the catfish market. Results revealed that though catfish business is highly profitable, the market is perfectly non-competitive in Oyo state. It is therefore recommended that soft loans should be given to the marketers to be able to buy the required quantity whose cost is cheap and affordable to would be buyers and consumers.

Abstract: The Indus valley civilization raises a great many, largely unresolved, questions. Why did this civilization, considering its sophistication, no spread beyond the Indus Valley? In general, the area where the Indus valley cities developed is arid, and one can surmise that urban development took place along a river that flew through a virtual desert. The Indus Valley people did not develop agriculture on any large scale, and consequently did not have to clear away a heavy growth of forest. Nor did they have the technology for that, since they were confined to using bronze or stone implements. They did not practice canal irrigation and did not have the heavy plough.

Abstract: The earliest inhabitants of Assam were non-Aryans and their language belonged to extra- Aryan families of language. Three kinds of languages in Assam existed; these are mainly Sanskrit as the official language, non-Aryan tribal languages of the Austric and Tibeto-Barman and a local variety of Prakrit . It was assumed that Assamese script was derived from Brahmi and Devanagari through success stages until it reached its final form. Macdonnell points out that Assamese possess an important literature and its literary style does not suffer like Bengali from the excessive use of Sanskritisations. Assamese literature is as old as the Bengali. Like Oriya, Assamese is a sister, not a daughter of Bengali. Ancient Assamese literature consists of much unwritten poetry and proverbs and these are mainly pastoral ballads, bihu folk songs, and cowherd and boat songs and so on. The writing materials used in ancient period were mainly inner bark of the bhurja patra, also wood and Sanchipat tulapat or cotton cloth, wooden board, palm leaves, animal substances, clay, metal stone, brick etc. Ancient education system and curriculum in kamrupa were prescribed by the dharmasastra and education was centred round the guru-griha. Two types of education were in ancient Assam viz. vidya and kala. Vidya is literary study and Kala is professional activity. Education in ancient Assam was not spread over a large area and people as it is today.

Abstract: Psychologists have studied influences upon both our temporary moods and our life satisfaction. Prolonged grief over the loss of a loved one or lingering anxiety after a personal trauma from child abuse, rape, terrors of war, and tragedy are not permanently depressing (Chwalisz & other 2002). Needless to say, people who experience tremendous change and a lingering problem such as losing one or both their parents experiences life-long effects throughout their lives. Considering that orphans are vulnerable to negative affects which threaten them from achieving life’s pursuit of happiness and self-satisfaction (Maslow, 1943) this study sought to look into the state of psychological well-being and happiness of these people.  Methodological triangulation of qualitative study was utilized to investigate the experiences of five orphaned children who identified themselves as (a) double orphaned by both parents and (b) are under the supervision of Christian Mission Services, Phil. in Naic, Cavite. The study’s purpose was to describe and understand the orphans’ lives with special focus on Identifying factors that affect their psychological well-being. Interviews, focus group discussions, and participant observations were conducted; transcripts were analyzed in terms of Smith’s (2003) descriptive categories and emergent themes. These descriptive categories included the factors affecting the orphans’ psychological well-being, and an overview of the orphans’ psychological well-being while emergent themes are factors affecting their psychological well-being which included were poverty, family value, and faith, locus of control, adopting families, social interaction and friends, stigma and discrimination, house parents, disinhibited type of RAD (reactive attachment disorder), prejudice, parental attitudes and influence, material problems, and attachment complexities.  Emergent themes observed in the nature of orphans’ psychological well-being included sense of self-importance, faith and religion,  skills and abilities, contentment, risking change, peer and close friend, aspirations  and view of life. Findings were described alongside supportive related studies and literatures.

On the other hand imagine a Scenario, where there are Spies in and around us Here, There, and Everywhere YET Nowhere. Is it possible YES, Pakistan’s Beggars Community, comprising of Male and Female Beggars, Men, Women, Boys, Girls, Young Children and even infants who do NOT Own Houses or Properties or live in Rented Apartments / Flats, they do not maintain Bank Accounts, Debit/ Credit Cards they do not get Salaries, they do not operate any Legal Business Entitities they do not pay any Income Tax, or File I.T. Returns they have do not Driving License, Passports, Educational Background or any Legal Documents BUT Wait…. They do NOT even possess the National Data Base and Registration Authority (NADRA) Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) to prove, their “Legal Existence” on the Pakistani Soil. In this Land of the Green & White Crescent, we see and hear about the famous “Green Star” Marketing products, ……… but we do not have the Identity or Database on the NOT Dozens NOT, Hundreds, NOT Thousands, NOT Hundreds of Thousands but MILLIONS of People Existing on the Pakistani Soil on a Daily Basis, with no “Legal Identification”. The biggest Problem of the Civilian) (So-Called) Democracy is that there appears to be almost nothing which can be termed as Civilized. The biggest Curse or Evil of this So-Called “Democracy” is that the run of the Mill Politicians (Even if they are Educated) or even with FAKE DEGREES fight like (…. Now what words should be written here). We can say small Street Children on the Floors of the Legislative Parliament. Fighting, Calling Names Abusive Language, Breaking of Chairs / Furniture is an almost Regular Routine Affairs since many years in the Pakistan Parliaments as Evidenced by the Print / Electronic Media. Management, Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Qualities, Discipline, Protocol, Practices, Procedures, Norms, Decorum or Strict Observance of the Chain of Command do not have any Meaning or Value in this (So-Called.) democracy.

DEMOCRACY: Now coming back to these Beggar People comprising of Beggars, Male and Female Prostitutes, Pimps, Young Children, Eunuchs, and Transgender People with no “Legal Identification” is not only a BILLION DOLLAR QUESTION MARK but an Alarming Situation, as these Civil / Criminal Elements, with innocent faces and stretching their “Palms for Alms” at every Street, Nook and Corner may be working for any Foreign Organization / Group, purely Un-Detected but totally protected / shielded or under cover, because of NOT having any “Legal Existence” and also NOT creating or arousing any Kind of Suspicion, Anywhere, Anytime, with Anybody for Any Reason. Whatsoever because or the Perfect (Under) Cover of the Beggar or Poverty-Stricken Person who cannot be TRACKED / TRACED as they do not Legally Exist.

Abstract: Civilization and livelihoods activities are uniquely related with river/water. Traditional livelihoods and occupational displacement have a relationship with river/water pollution. The main focus of this paper is on culture, traditional occupations, industrialization, environmental degradation and socio-cultural and economic change of a riverbank village in Bangladesh. Interesting to notice the contrast of two natural elements, one is human and another one is water. Worldwide populations grow and affluence increase and demand for food and water is on the rise, but the amount of water, nevertheless increases compare to what it was in hundred years back. Further, human being are on the race who can pollute how much of river/water, again climate variability and change in climate are exuberated the problem further, i.e. making it difficult to provide water, where and when it is needed. Bangladesh is a riverine country and country’s 5% populations are still depends on river and nature base livelihoods. River Bangshi is a source of nature base employment and traditional occupational groups in Ghugudia village and many other villages around the river Bangshi. The purpose of this study was to investigate water/river pollution and its impact on traditional occupational groups and other general livelihoods activities in and around a river course. The primary data were collected from a village named Ghugudia almost in a year and six month duration, data collected in various stages and the use of different methods and tools. In this study mix method, that is qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques were applied, descriptive survey, individual and in-depth interview and focus group discussions (FGD) were done with a different section of people i.e. fisherman, farmer, Goala/milkman, barber, small businessman. Individual interview was conducted with industry owners and representatives of their organization, political leaders and civil society groups.

Abstract: Panchanan Barma was the father of the Rajbanshi Community of Undivided North Bengal. He sacrifices his life for the society of the Rajbangshi Community. He had taken many reformation works for the recover the lost dignity of the Rajbanshi Society. He was shocked contemporary social discrimination and economic exploitation. Zamindars and moneylenders had crippled the rural economy by the rampant exploitation. The only reason for their backwardness is low education as well as unconsciousness about society. Abstract: The main purpose of this study is to examine the socio-economic determinants of women labour force participation among the Tiwa tribe in Morigaon and Nagaon districts of Assam in North East India and suggested necessary measures to the policy makers to increase women participation in labour market. We have selected four blocks from Morigaon district and two blocks from Nagaon district, where Tiwa population is highly concentrated. The study is based on primary data collected randomly. Almost 442 in the age cohort 15-64 are interviewed with the help of well structured questionnaire for the study. Besides descriptive statistics, here we use the Logistic Regression method in order to determine important socio-economic determinants of work force participation of Tiwa women. The level of education turns out to be insignificant variable in explaining women workforce participation for both married and unmarried women. It highlights poorer access to education in backward areas for earlier generation. This would require a policy that addresses the constraints facing women’s to get better education and acquire more skills. Such a step can increase their employability in the formal labour markets, with favourable impacts on the sound development of their children and of course their family. Consequently, rural infrastructure is needed to be improved and government should realise the urgency of creating employment opportunities for educated women.

Abstract: Change is the go of the world that seems to be more applicable in respect of older people throughout the world basically in Bangladesh. An altering demographic structure is happening worldwide with a gradual swing towards a higher share of older people. Bangladesh is projected to experience a doubling of its elderly population from the current level of 7 million to 14 million by the end of the next decade. Drawing upon qualitative evidence from Aila affected areas of Bangladesh; the present study focuses on Lives and Livings of older people in Aila affected areas of Bangladesh. The findings show some important issues related with the older people in Aila affected areas are to be noticed that are less facilitated along with violated such as the situation of most older people in money earning activities, participation in appropriate education and training,  giving opinion and decision in relation to older care and living pattern, comfortable family and surrounding environment for older living, showing respect towards their status, belief and thinking, free movement everywhere, making friendship with own choice, involvement in educational, religious and socio-cultural activities of the society, living with sufficient dignity & security, economic, psycho-social and physical abuse, property rights abuse, access to modern recreational equipments, discrimination regarding gender and age, participation in decision making process and enjoyment of health service facilities etc.

Abstract: For over the last decade, the international standoff over the Iranian nuclear program has captured world attention and posed significant challenges to regional security in the Middle East and beyond. Given Iran’s important geostrategic position and critical involvement in key Middle Eastern affairs, the July 14-2015. Declaration on a comprehensive nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1 not only mitigates the risk of nuclear proliferation but also presents significant implications for the future order of the Middle East. Whether moving toward greater accommodation with regional states or pushing forward with its revolutionary policies that confront regional order, Iran’s role in the Middle East is now more important than ever and will be a critical subject of analysis, research, and discussion in the foreseeable future. Nuclear weapons are controversial and recent events have thrust Iran into the nuclear spotlight. These weapons in the hands of the fanatic regime in Tehran will grant them a membership card in the open nuclear club. They will become the ninth member, along with the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, India, Pakistan, and North Korea. This would devastate the stability of nuclear nonproliferation in the world and drastically increase the risk of nuclear war by opening the floodgates through which Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and others could flow. The Iranians, as well as other Islamic fanatics, have missile delivery systems and much of the knowledge required to develop nuclear weapons. Nothing can stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons this decade. This paper will explore the impact of the Iranian nuclear program on the Middle East. Therefore, the Relations between Iran and the West significantly deteriorated as a result of the 1979 Iran Islam revolution and the hostage crisis, but things got worse as Iran developed its nuclear programme. The strategic impact in the Gulf region of the nuclear agreement with Iran will hinge on the perceptions of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries as to whether or not it helps to curb Iranian “adventurism” and, especially, its support for destabilizing activities in the region.

Abstract: The famous observation made by the Father of the Nation many years ago, still holds true. Villagers comprise the core of Indian society and also represent the real India. Rural areas are the most underprivileged sectors in India. Women and girls make up three-fourths of the disabled people in low and middle-income countries. Around 65 – 70% of these live in rural areas (1). And it is for these villagers that we need to make sure we build a system that delivers basic social infrastructure in an effective manner. But still Prevalence of deformity in rural India has never been discussed and taken into account significantly. We all show concern for rural sector of India, but this fact can’t be denied that this underprivileged sector of the society is least thought about and when we talk of deformity amongst them, the issue gets more exaggerated. Hence If I were to sum up the challenge before India in one word, it would perhaps be “DEFORMITY” in rural sector.

Abstract: Elementary education is the backbone of educational system in the whole world. From the last few decades the quality of elementary education has become the focus of attention at both central and state level. Education becomes a fundamental right in India, through the enactment of RTE act 2009 in order to make education accessible to each and every one. Sarva shiksha abhiyan was launched in 2004 to universalize education and take it to the door steps of each and every one. Midday meal scheme was the main tool behind universlization of education and making it hunger free education. Keeping in view the 2020 vision India want to become an educational leader and major provider at the global level in education, for that very purpose no detention policy was immediately introduced in all govt schools throughout India. No doubt we are witnessing a tremendous growth in the no. of students completing elementary education, but majority of them did not know the ABC of the subjects. No one would have thought that this no detention policy would defame the system of basic education. Students were promoted but did not know even the basics. The aim of the present paper is to know perception of govt school teachers towards no detention policy an aspect of (right to education 2009), because teachers are major actors, they know each and every thing about what is beneficial for students. For the present study a sample of 50 teachers were selected by using multi stage sampling technique. Data was collected by administrating self constructed tool, and interview schedule. The findings of the study have vast educational implications.
