Abstract: This research aims to determine any factors affecting on the interest in using e-Filing in East Denpasar Sub district, Denpasar City, Bali Province Indonesia. Type of research is explanatory, this study is trying to determine the causal relation of various studied variables. The populations in this research are all taxpayers of e-Filling users spread in East Denpasar Sub district Denpasar City. Sample collection method is non probability sampling namely accidental sampling. Data collection methods are questionnaires and interview. The collected data are analyzed using Multi linear regression Method through SPSS 20.0 program. Results of regression analysis have proven that the social factor variable influences positively on the interest in using e-Filling; meanwhile, the performance expectation, business expectancy and facilitating condition variables do not influence on the interest in using e-Filing.

Abstract: Malawi primary education system is characterized by quite low levels of internal efficiency.  Despite access to first grade of primary education being close to universal, the survival rates to the end of the cycle are very low with a completion rate of roughly 35%. High repetition rates have been reported as one major reason for the low completion rates of pupils. As a result various innovative reforms have been designed to ameliorate the efficiency of the system, and one of such reforms is the repetition policy.  This paper retrospectively analyses the formulation and implementation of the primary school repetition policy using the stakeholder participation framework. The paper demonstrates how stakeholder participation is critical in the formulation and implementation of education reforms and argues that unless a wide range of stakeholders participate in the policy process, ambitious policies that take much time and effort to produce would never be successfully implemented.

Abstract: Colonial identity is one of the legacies of colonialism on the African continent, and has lingered on long after many African states have attained their independence. The Critical theory as advanced by Max Horkheimer of the Frankfurt School, questions social systems that have emerged throughout human history. Socio-economic development is a concept common to all human races, including Africans. A common belief held and propagated by Nineteenth Century colonizers was that Africans lacked the capacity for industry, creativity, and advancement of society, hence the need for a colonial master to introduce the necessary civilization. Specific images and narratives were actively manufactured and propagated to justify the colonization of a people. Through this, the colonizers could rationalise the subjugation of Africans to anyone that would question the practise. Africa’s performance record since independence in the mid-20th century has been disappointing. Poor economic performance, environmental degradation, political instability, and a host of other negative trends, have plagued the continent for generations. The abundance of evidence provided by scholars reveal the ability of Africans to do that which the European colonialists claimed was beyond African capacity. Africans need to take ownership of their development agenda, and wean themselves off dependence on Western states. This can be done through intellectual enlightenment, educational reforms, and developing country ownership.

Abstract: This article outlines the effects of proliferation of small arms and light weapons (SALW) on women’s security in Northern Kenya. The article seek  not only  to  illustrate women  as victims of the proliferation of the small arms and light weapons  but also to understand their role as  actors who can bring about active change against  the vice in communities that  they  live in. These efforts may then contribute to sustainable peace in Northern Kenya. The article presents the gendered cost of proliferation of small arms and light weapons including the direct and indirect ways in which women are affected by the influx of the small arms ad light weapons in their communities. The article assesses how SALW contribute to gender based violence, the impact of proliferation of SALW on women’s productive activities and finally the contribution of SALW to the displacement of women. The article also reviews the legal tools against trading of small arms as well as how the increase in women’s voice in the region is guiding the formulation of both local and national legislation. The article also surveys some of the promising practices guarding them against the negative effects of proliferation of small arms and light weapons.

Abstract: The study adopted a survey research designed to determine the needed teaching strategies in enhancing creativity in TVET for industrialization in Owerri Education zone of Imo state. Three research question were developed coupled with two hypotheses to be answered.  The questionnaire tagged “Teaching Strategies for Enhancing Creativity in TVET” (TSECTVET) was used for data collection from 59 Fine Art and Engineering lecturers in that zone.  Intact population was used and 57 copies of questionnaire were obtained from respondents.  Mean and standard deviation were used for answering the research 7questions while the two null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance using Z-test.  The data of the study were collected using 32  items questionnaire validated by three expects.  The findings of the study revealed that 11 items teaching techniques, 7 items process assessment and 11items evaluation needs were identified as needed strategies for the enhancement of creativity in TVET.  The study recommended among others that; A particular product in use can be given to students to criticize and improve upon and Technical teachers should be patience with the learners during creativity training and production works, failing is not a negative end since it exposes them to other possible directions to follow, they are prone to make mistake, a leading way to the process of skill/creativity development.

Abstract: The current study examined effects of corporate strategic planning on organization performance of commercial banks in Kenya: a case of Kenya commercial bank. The study was guided by four objectives:To determine the influence of organizational culture on organizational performance of Kenya Commercial Bank.To establish the influence of managerial factors on organizational performance of Kenya Commercial bank.To establish the influence of benchmarking on organizational performance of Kenya Commercial Bank. To determine the influence of competitive intelligence of organizational performance of Kenya Commercial Bank. The study was focused on the effects of corporate strategic planning on commercial banks in Kenya on organization performance therefore considering the Headquarters of Kenya Commercial Bank in Nairobi KENCOM House to oversee the other 230 branches. It focused on the senior staff that is the managers and supervisors of the bank and also departmental heads.The study adopted a Descriptive Research Design to support and meet the objectives of the research and used stratified random sampling procedure to select a sample that represented the entire population.Questionnaires were the main research instrument that were used in the study. The fixed choice and open-ended formats of the item were used in developing the questionnaire items. Data was analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Quantitative data was analyzed through coding in Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) data editor where inferences were drawn and descriptive statistics like frequencies of responses were used to give the results of the analysis. Data was presented in form of frequency distribution tables, graphs and pie charts that wereused to facilitate description and explanation of the study findings. Qualitative data was summarized in short paragraphs.

Abstract: In a developing country like India the role and significance of small scale industries is very significant towards poverty eradication, employment generation, rural development and creating regional balance in promotion and growth of various developmental activities. This sector has been contributing about 40% of the gross value of output produced in the manufacturing sector and the generation of employment by the small scale sector is more than five times to that of the large scale industries. This clearly shows the importance of small scale industries in the economic development of the country. The small scale industry have been playing an important role in the growth process of Indian economy, since independence inspite of stiff competition from the large sector and not very encouraging support from the Government.

Abstract: This research aims to determine and analyze the Value Chain model of material provision supply on Hinduist yadnya ceremony; to determine and analyze employment opportunity and society welfare; as well as to determine and analyze the effects of employment opportunity on the society welfare. The sample collection method was using proportional stratified random sampling on 130 respondents. The data was analyzed based on quantitative analysis technique, using Structural Equation Model (SEM). Results of this research show that there are some obstacles faced by supplier, first is in the level of upstream, namely lack of material supply on yadnya ceremony from outside Bali island; this is caused by greater demand than supply and lack of business capital by the suppliers. Meanwhile, there is also an obstacle in downstream level namely less maximum supports from institutions such as Cooperative and Village Empowering Agency (LPD) in provision and distribution systems on yadnya ceremony materials in Badung Regency, Bali Province. From results of quantitative analysis, it is found out significant results of sustainable implementation intensity on Hinduist yadnya ceremony on employment opportunity namely by 59,5 percent. It means that the implementation intensity of yadnya ceremony contributes on the employment opportunity increase. The employment opportunity affects significantly on society welfare namely by 65,7 percent. It means that the employment opportunity contributes significantly on alleviation of poverty and unemployment in Abiansemal Village Badung regency Bali Province Indonesia.

Abstract: Elections are an integral aspect of democracies around the world. In Africa, elections have been held in various countries but their integrity has largely been questioned. The return of multiparty politics in Kenya brought about unfettered competition leading to sharp divisions among political players. The resultant effect was violence during elections which was propelled by leaders whose conduct during and after elections influenced the citizens. While violence was experienced, it was minimal and sporadic in few areas in Kenya. The hallmark of election violence was in 2007/2008 post-election violence which left 1,500 people dead, countless others injured, and nearly 700,000 people displaced from their homes. The subsequent elections which were held in 2013 were relatively peaceful as compared to the 2007 elections. This paper seeks to examine the most significant variables as a basis to understand the nature of the 2007 elections vis-a-vis the 2013 elections. The variables under study are limited to leadership, institutional reforms, peace initiatives, the International Criminal Court (ICC), security, media and technology in the lead up to both elections.

Abstract: This research aims to; Know and analyze the performance of the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Makassar., and to know and analyze the factors that affect the performance of the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Makassar. This type of research is expose-facto by using survey research model based on respondent's answer on the list of questions given. The subject of this research is the teacher of SMA Negeri 1 Makassar, whether the status of civil servants or non civil servants. The number of teachers in the school is 71 people. Techniques used in data collection research is giving questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis technique to be conducted is descriptive-explorative, by using Chi-Square analysis to reveal the factors that influence the performance of Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Makassar. The conclusion of this research is; The Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Makassar has a high performance. This is evidenced from the assessment of respondents who generally tend to give a score / high value. Nevertheless, the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Makassar still needs to improve its performance, and the high performance owned by the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 Makassar can also be seen from the high score / score given by the respondents in each performance indicator. The indicator in question is; (1) organizational goals, (2) organizational standards, (3) feedback, (4) tools or tools, (5) competence, (6) motives, and (7) opportunities. Recommendation result of this research that coaching principal by government need to consider performance of principals to spur the achievement of every school performance in Makassar city.

Abstract: Following the tragic incident at September 11, 2001, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) started to modernize existing international conventions concerning unlawful interference against civil aviation. From 30 August to 10 September 2010, a diplomatic conference held in Beijing that led to the adoption of two international measures, namely, ''the Convention on the Suppression of Unlawful Acts Relating to International Civil Aviation'' (Beijing Convention) and ''the Protocol Supplementary to the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft'' (Beijing Supplementary Protocol). These two international conventions introduce many new acts as an offence, namely: the use of civil aviation for transport, loading and discharge of biological, chemical and nuclear weapons and similar substances; the use of civil aircraft as a lethal weapon to hit financial institutions, the use of biological, chemical or nuclear weapons for attacking civil aircraft; cyber-attacks against air navigation facilities with terrorist purposes.

Abstract: The use of military attacks on the sovereign state of Afghanistan was illegal as none of the Articles of the United Nations authorized NATO and United States to use force on the government of Afghanistan and its citizens.  It was clear that United States and NATO acted out of provocation and in line with the spirit of fighting terrorism but they would have used other peaceful means of handling such situations instead of using force on Afghanistan. The opponents of the presence of the troops from NATO argued that it is unnecessary for NATO to send its troops to Afghanistan as it actually fuels the violence in the country, led to unfortunate death of the civilians and reduced the popularity of NATO in Afghanistan and many other parts of the world. Under the Article 51 of UN Charter member states have no inherent right as an individual state or collective self-defense if an attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the UN Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. This article analysis the legality of intervention of NATO in the Afghanistan.

Abstract: This study aims to determine the improvement of the ability of teachers in preparing RPP in the Implementation of Curriculum 2013 by using Hypnoteaching method. Hypnoteaching method is a method of learning that in delivering the material, the facilitator uses a subconscious language that can grow its own interest to learners or training participants. The type of this research is research training action (PTD) with research respondents are teachers in the implementation of Curriculum Implementation 2013 in MGMP Economic Makassar. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the ability of teachers in preparing the RPP can be improved through hypnoteaching method in the Implementation of Curriculum 2013 training. In general, respondents gave a positive response to the learning steps in this hypnoteaching method. Therefore, this method should be developed in other training materials with attention to several things such as time management and preparation of training implementation.

Abstract: This paper consolidates literature on the contemporary thought and practice of integrating secular and Islamic education in Kenya. Private schools mandated to provide secular education by the Ministry of Education offer Islamic education in addition. Integrated education seeks to bring together two educational paradigms that have different ideologies. On the one hand, Islamic education is part of the Islamic doctrine with the aim of inducting children to the Islamic faith so as to mould their character and help in their upbringing to become responsible citizens and religious leaders who will promote the continuity of Islamic religion. On the other hand, the primary dictum of education in a secular context is to prepare learners for productive employment. Integration of knowledge is premised on the philosophy that everything in this world is in some way connected with every other thing. Hence, religious education and secular education, which are linked to each other, should not be taught in isolation because they share the goal of eventually educating the child.

Title: Integration of Islamic and Secular Education in Kenya: A Synthesis of the Literature

Abstract: The term folklore means traditional customs, beliefs, stories and sayings. It is a description of culture, which has passed down verbally from generation to generation in oral form. The term ‘folklore’ was coined in 1846 by the Englishman, William J. Thoms. The types of folklore are myths, ballads, fairytales, folk art, legends, urban legends, riddles, and superstitions. Twain’s novels Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer have the same theme that is ‘Folklore’. In the first chapter there is introduction to the author and his works, and about the famous novelists of all ages. After, there is a review of the two novels and how they both are considered by other critics. The folklore elements, such as, superstition, religion, rituals, myth and adventure are being used by the novelist, Twain in his two novels. His novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) received even greater national acclaim and cemented Twain’s position’s as a giant in American literary circles. Through the characters the elements are expressed to the readers. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, written by Mark Twain in 1876, is about twelve-year-old Tom Sawyer living the small-town-life- and getting into a lot of trouble with his friends and the new life in which he and his friends struggle a lot. His another Novel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is the inspiration of his childhood friend Tom Blankenship. The elements of folklore were mentioned greatly by Twain and which had the important role in his novels.
