Abstract: The study determined the significant difference between factors on the patronage of residential and office apartment by bankers in Ekiti state. The study adopted a survey research design with well structured 5-Linkert research instrument. The population for the study was 546 employees of the 16 bank branches in Ado-Ekiti metropolis out of which 230 respondents were chosen using stratified random techniques with each bank representing a stratum. Data collected were analyzed using simple percentage statistics such as descriptive and inferential statistics while ANOVA was used to analyze the data. The result showed that location and rental value were positive and significantly determined patronage of residential and office apartment by bankers (β =4.464, p < 0.05). It was also revealed that physical infrastructure and security were significant but negatively related (β = -1.723, p < 0.05). However, the results showed that intrinsic factors (P < 0.05) had better significant values than extrinsic factors (P > 0 .05). It also revealed that explanatory variables of intrinsic factors had more capacity to predict better patronage of residential and office apartment than extrinsic factors. The study concluded that patronage of residential and office apartment was a function of facility type, cost of maintenance, location, and class of residence. Also, banks considered the location of the central business district area before deciding on the choice of an office apartment.

Abstract: Himalayas are the home of many states and wild animals in the north.  Among these states of northern India Himachal is a beautiful and vibrant state in the western Himalayas lies between 300 22’ north to 330 12’ north latitude and 750-770 6’east longitude. Himachal Pradesh covering an area of 55673 sq. km. is the 18th state of India. State is famous for its beautiful nature spread all around. This paper is an analysis of people and their economic activities. Why people of the state are shifting from agricultural activities to industries and services.

Abstract: Economic growth and political stability are deeply interconnected, on one hand; the uncertainty associated with an unstable political environment may reduce investment and the pace of economic development. Somalia is a country that has experienced excessive amounts of political instability during the past decade. Political instability contributed to massive suffering and poverty in Somalia, there has been massive unemployment and migration of people from the country. It is of this view that the study aimed at investigating the political factors influencing economic development of Somalia. The study was guided by four specific objectives; to find out the influence of Political Stability on Economic Development of Somalia, to determine the influence of rule of law in economic development of Somalia, to investigate the influence of government policies on the economic development of Somalia, to find out the influence of electoral process on Economic Development of Somalia. The researcher used a survey design method for the study. Survey design is a design in which data is collected using questionnaires. For this study, the survey design was preferred because surveys are relatively less costly, easily accessible and also useful in describing the characteristics of a large population and making the results statistically significant even when analyzing the variables. The study selected a sample of 201 respondents from the population of Mogadishu Somalia to determine the political factors influencing economic development of Somalia. The data collected was tabulated and analyzed. This study employed simple random sampling technique in selecting respondents. This type of sampling is none biased because each member of the subset has an equal probability of being chosen. The study used multiple regression analysis to investigate the political factors influencing economic development. From the regression analysis the study indicated that there is a significant effect of political stability on economic development. The study findings indicated that there is a significant effect of the rule of law on economic development. The regression analysis further showed that there is a significant effect of government policies on economic development. The regression analysis indicated that there is a significant effect of electoral process on economic development. The study made the following recommendations based on the findings; Promotion and maintenance of political stability. Promotion and established of judicial infrastructures to maintain rule of law in Somalia and increase access to Justice and the Judicial System. The government of Somalia should develop strong planning units to influence formulation of policies focused on the economic development of Somalia. The country of Somalia should hold regular competitive elections as it has been proved that frequent free and fair elections in developing countries improve economic policy by disciplining governments and making them accountable to the people.

Abstract: This paper investigates English as Second Language(ESL) students studying in the program of Teaching English as a Second Language in University of Bahri. This investigation tries to understand the affection of English language learning environment (classroom, teachers, and peers) on vocabulary learning strategies. This paper describes how school environments interfere in vocabulary learning strategies of ESL students or support them. This paper adopts the qualitative method. The researcher collected data through in-depth interviews and used open coding as well as constant comparative methods to analyze the data. The findings suggest that teaching methods, the level of encouragement students received, peers’ negative and positive behaviors, classroom’s activity and textbooks were significant factors that generally effected the learners’ choice of vocabulary learning strategies in schools.

Abstract: This paper designs an instrument that measures the perceptions of the entities involved in the Senior High School Curriculum implementation. First, it generates the items that measure perceptions. Second, it validates these items. Third, it establishes the reliability of the items. Lastly, it finalizes the number of items in a semantic differential instrument. Defining the focus, generating items, conducting content adequacy assessment, questionnaire administration, factor analysis, internal consistency assessment, construct validation and replication processes have been done. Fourteen-item semantic differential scales have been developed and validated.

Abstract: Using Descriptive method and Analysis this Study sought to establish the impact of different aspects of a project and how they determine the success of child based projects. Factors highlighted include the theoretical basis and evaluation approaches as well as the ramifications of a project team on the success of child based projects. Some of the key findings include but not limited to the fact that reflection and praxes are unavoidable. They are intrinsically complementary premises upon which any project must be constructed. It is also clear from the study that human resource is a very poignant component of a project, without which any project cannot serve its purpose. Consequently project management calls for careful but steady dealings with project team members for the good of children in child based projects.

Abstract: Somalia faces a number of major obstacles to development: civil conflict, the lack of a fully functioning central government, and natural calamities such as drought and floods. In addition, the ongoing armed struggle has often prevented much-needed humanitarian assistance from reaching the population. Poverty has inevitably increased since the early 1990s and the collapse of the government and onset of civil war. About 43 per cent of the population lives in extreme poverty, or on less than US$1 per day. For several decades, development agencies have placed great emphasis on urban development as a tool for Economic Development. But they have neglected rural development as a means to improve economic growth and mitigate poverty. Part of the reason for the lack of attention to rural development within development initiatives lies in the shortage of empirical evidence that it affects economic growth and Economic Development, There is limited emphasis on and support for rural development in Somalia and part of the reason for the exclusion of rural development from development initiatives lies in the shortage of empirical evidence to show the impact of rural development on economic development in Somalia. It was on this background that the study focused on providing empirical evidence on the effect of rural development on economic development in Somalia. The study was guided by four specific objectives; finding the effect of rural agricultural development on Economic Development in Jowhar Somalia, finding out the effect of rural Health Care facilities development on Economic Development in Jowhar Somalia, finding the effect of rural telecommunication development on Economic Development in Jowhar Somalia, finding the effect of rural education Development on Economic Development in Jowhar Somalia. The study was guided by the Endogenous rural development theory which is understood as the hypothesis that improvements in the socio-economic well-being of disadvantaged areas can best be brought about by recognizing and animating the collective resources of the territory itself. The study was conducted using a survey design; a survey is used to obtain information from groups of people. For this study, the survey design was preferred because surveys are relatively less costly. The study was conducted in Jowhar, Somalia, the country’s largest agricultural area. It selected a sample of 384 respondents from the different segments of the larger population in Jowhar. The study investigated the effect of agricultural development on economic development and the regression analysis showed that there is a significant relationship between economic development and agricultural development. From this analysis it was concluded that agricultural development has a significant impact on economic development. Findings indicated that that there is a significant relation relationship between economic development and health care facilities development. Basing on the findings the study recommended connecting education and training with agricultural sector. Strengthen rural health-care facilities and capacities, train and increase the number of health and nutrition professionals and sustain and expand access to primary health-care systems. Invest in essential infrastructure and services for rural communities: Increase public and private investments in infrastructure in rural areas, including roads, and transport systems.

Abstract: E-procurement implementation in public procurement is considered as one way of enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within their supply chain management. However, notwithstanding the benefits of e-procurement, government ministries and departments in Kenya, particularly ministry of lands, housing and urban development Kisumu County have been slow in integrating e-procurement procedures within their procurement operations due to various challenges. The study sought to establish the role of e-procurement procedures on supply chain performance in ministry of lands Kisumu County. The study was guided by these specific objectives; to establish the level of e-procurement adoption and implementation at Kisumu county lands office, to establish how use of ICT has enhanced e-procurement integration within supply chain performance at Kisumu County Lands office, to determine how organizational factors affect supply chain performance in relation to Kisumu county lands office and finally to evaluate the forms of e-procurement on the supply chain performance at Kisumu county lands office. The study was based on the following theories; Technology Acceptance model theory, Diffusion theory, Diffusion of Innovation theory and lastly Network effect theory. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The target population was 300 employees at county lands office in Kisumu who comprised senior staff, procurement personnel, other members of staff and members of public coming to transact at the office. Out of these, a sample of 174 respondents was selected to give response to the study. A structured questionnaire was used to gather primary data. To test validity and reliability the questionnaires were pilot tested before being issued to the respondents. Quantitative method of data analysis was used to analyze the collected data which was analyzed using descriptive statistics software using SPSS version 21.0 for generation of descriptive statistics as well as inferential statistics. The study concluded that E-procurement adoption, use of ICT in procurement, organizational factors and forms of e-procurement have a positive effect on supply chain performance in ministry of lands Kisumu County. It therefore recommends that a flexible e-procurement operational system should be adopted through proper research to effectively help any organization and business entities fulfill their ever changing needs and also help in dealing with challenges that may arise from a dynamic global business setting. The study therefore recommend that decision makers and other senior management should support and implement suitable e-procurement systems backed by communication infrastructure tailored to their operations. They should also partner with service providers, adopt the right ICT tools and training of staff on the use of the systems. However, proper need identification should be undertaken to ensure appropriate software and the right external partners are sourced to enable a cost effective e-procurement implementation within government ministries.

Abstract: The madani society in Malaysia can be developed in a more organized manner through formal education system. The approach of using the thoughts of Philosophy Of Quranic Science (PQS) which integrate social science and natural science with divine science in the national education curriculum will result in the existence of this society in Malaysia. Nevertheless, it cannot be denied that the raising tide of science in the modern globalization era has discarded the principles of PQS thoughts for quite sometime.  The separation of social science and natural science from divine science has made the learning of science and technology to have more materialistic influence than spiritual influence, the foundation of the Islamic society development. This paper will highlight the importance of PQS and its total implementation at all levels of education in the national education system. Through this national curriculum reform, students of primary, secondary and higher education will make up the new generation, developed based on the integration of PQS which makes the existence of madani society possible in Malaysia.

Abstract: The primary aim of the study was to investigate the role of E-government services among citizens of Jordan The proposed model may facilitate the understanding of how certain factors can affect the level of usage of e-government services in Jordan. The main objective of this study is to gauge the possible antecedents of e-government services usage by working on a new model based on UTAUT as well as to answer the research questions posed. This study will apply a quantitative research methodology, which includes a numerical measurement and analysis of the factors which influence acceptance. In this study, a survey questionnaires which will involve 768 respondents will be adopted to aggregate the results. The investigation seeks to identify whether the independent variables – namely  Performance Expectancy (PE), Social Influence (SI), Facilitating Condition (FC), Effort Expectancy (EE), Trust factor (TF), Computer self-efficacy (CSE), e-government Usage Behavioural (UB) and continued usage intention of (CUI), Education (EDU), Age (AGE), impacted the usage of E-government services in a significant way The result of the PLS path model showed that Social Influence (SI), Facilitating Conditions (FC), Effort Expectancy (EE) and Computer Self-Efficacy (CSE) are positively related to the usage behaviour of e-government services. Performance Expectancy and trust factor however were found negatively related to the usage behaviour of e-government services. The study showed that Effort Expectancy imparts a significantly positive impact on Use Behavior to use e-government among citizens, which implies that Effort Expectancy is factor that determines the use behavior to use e-government service.

Abstract: The study sought to establish community participation in collection and transportation of solid wastes in Langas Estate, Eldoret Town. The study adopted descriptive survey design. The target population for the study consisted of 416 households in Langas estates, county government officers, NEMA officials and local area chief.  The Sampling techniques to be employed in this study was systematic random sampling and purposive sampling techniques. Purposive sampling was used to select 2 staff of NEMA, 5 county government employees and local area chief and 191 residents. Questionnaire and interviews were the main instruments of data collection. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics.The study established that there are inefficiencies in household waste collection by the County government. Community members were more involved with household waste collection. The main household waste collectors were self-help groups. The households were paying for waste management services offered by individuals or groups. Failure by some households to pay for waste management services to stakeholder may lead to withholding of the waste management services by the concerned leading to inefficiencies in waste management. Domestic solid wastes were not collected on daily basis, this implies that there was pilling of wastes in the study area. The study recommended that there is need to separation of household wastes at the source to allow for efficient management of household wastes and also investing in efficient transportation of the stored wastes without delay to avoid heaps of household wastes at the storage areas.

Abstract: This study sought to find out customary practices and institutions and land policy implementation in the Districts of Kasese, Sheema and Bushenyi in Uganda since the Uganda National Land Policy (UNLP) 2013. Using mixed methods design data was collected from 436 participants and respondents and was analysed using SPSS 23 for quantitative analysis and general content analysis for qualitative analysis. The study found out that customary institutions and practices are intervening in land policy implementation and should be further addressed for better land policy implementation. The study recommended compatible practices with the UNLP 2013 integrated into land policy implementation.

Abstract: The objective of the research is to assess the moral impact of Boko Haram insurgency on the youth of EkklesiysarYan’uwaA Nigerian (EYN) is Bornoand Adamawa states. Boko Haram members have caused wanton destructions of lives and properties in North-Eastern Nigeria. Different scholars have worked on the social, physical, economic and psychological impact of Boko Haram but less attention has been given to moral impact which the researcher considers to be very crucial for peaceful co-existence. Survey design was adopted for this research with sampled population of 835 respondents to represent the general population of EYN members in Borno and Adamawa states which is 1,164,240. Multi-stage purposive sampling was adopted in sampling of churches but random sapling was used for respondents. Three instruments were used togather data: Questionnaire, Interview and Observations.The result of the findings reveals the tremendous impact of moral impact of insurgency on the EYN youths because many youths delve into stealing, killings, drunkenness, smoking, prostitutions, stubbornness to authority and parents. Three (3) recommendations were given; to the parents to take their parental roles seriously, youths to come back to the church for betterment of their lives and the government to wake up on their responsibility of protecting the citizens.

Abstract: Human dignity is the central plank of modern moral & political philosophy. However, it’s always invoked & contested as right or value that imposes overarching obligation on public authority. Catholic Church said it originated from God & is of God. But, it’s sad that Filipinos aren’t good in valuing their dignity. A survey 5 years ago on corruption showed that “lack of human dignity” is 1st in rank which represents about 85% of respondents.

This study determines if Filipinos are still capable of living in dignity amidst temptations.

It aims to answer the following:

1. What is the philosophical idea of dignity of a person;

2. What Filipino experiences relate to human dignity;

3. What are the reflective arguments on human person;

4. How can reflective analysis on dignity be based on Filipino's experiences; &

5. How can Filipinos be dignified persons?

It showed that respondents believe that if call to human dignity will be taken seriously, people will realize that clean living is still possible despite many temptations. Poverty isn’t a hindrance to live decently & peacefully.
