Abstract: Teacher education is an important role to build of an entire educational system. In this study the investigator tries to understand the attitude of effectiveness of using activity based ICT strategies among two year B.Ed CBCS course student teachers in Gold field college of education,Bangarpet (T) Kolar(D). Along with guide the researcher developed the attitude scale on activity based ICT strategy, there were 36 statements, each statement is to be perceived against five point scale-Strongly Agree, Agree, Undecided, Disagree, and Strongly Disagree. The data were collected using researcher developed attitude tool and analyzed by‘t’ test. Pre-post equivalent group design was followed for this study. The activity based ICT teaching strategy lesson plan prepared by researcher for teaching hard core paper (learning and teaching). The findings of the study is a significant relationship between activity based ICT strategy and attitude among B.Ed student teachers.

Abstract: The US government workforce is witnessing an upsurge in the age of employees in the current decade. 11 age groups are analyzed comprising of <20, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and >65 for the years 2013-2017 inclusive. The analytical review carried out in this paper includes but not limited to the age group of 50-59. The data is obtained from the U.S. office of Personnel Management database and tabulated in Microsoft Excel, converted to Pivot table, and presented in various bar chart. Pie chart, and other graphical format by using pivot chart, a visual software. Constantly forecasting the age distribution is a strategic policy to replenish the workforce with younger generation for fresh and modern ideas and improved productivity.  From the analysis, the age group 50-54 is 17.84% of the workforce in 2013, 18.77% in 2014, 17.63% in 2015, 16.97% in 2016, and 16.41 in 2017. The age group of 55-59 is the next topping the chart with 14.74% in 2013, 15.49% in 2014, 14.79% in 2015, 14.96% in 2016, and 15.15% in 2017. If the trend continues in this fashion, the federal government will incur a higher cost of health insurance and other benefits; productivity could be low. In the overall, the U.S. government may not have a sustainable workforce for its agencies.

Title: Age Distribution Forecast: A Panacea for a Declining U.S. Federal Agency Workforce

Abstract: Education is one of the roadmap to ensure implementation of Sustainable Development goals (SDGS) and the achievement of Kenyan Vision 2030. Kenya has undergone considerable changes since the introduction of Universal Free Primary Education in 2003 and free secondary education in 2008 as a way of implementing inclusive education (IE). Despite this Kenyan government commitment to IE, the access and retention rates of learners with special needs in schools is still very low.  It was due to this trend that the researcher was set to establish teaching strategies used in public inclusive primary schools in Kakamega Count. To achieve this purpose a descriptive survey research designs was implemented.  The data were collected from 899 respondents of 29 different schools using questionnaire, structured interview and observational check list.  Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively. The finding of the study revealed that, the implementation of IE was still below 50% in Kakamega County. In conclusion, IE has not been fully implemented as per the ministry of education guidelines. It is recommended that the Government of Kenya should provide appropriate resources that can support IE policy in public primary schools. It is hoped that the study findings will add to the existing knowledge base in the area of IE practices in schools.

Abstract: The study conceptualized a relationship between firm characteristics and performance of law firms in Kenya and the role played by industry structure and strategy in the relationship. Firm characteristics have been posited to influence performance. However, there is observed lack of consensus with regard to this position, hence the need for more empirical explanation. The role of industry structure and strategy in the relationship between firm characteristics and performance has not received conclusive empirical backing. The study was contextualized in law firms in Kenya in which these variables have not been empirically tested. The study was guided by resource based theory, the institutional theory and industrial organizational economics theory. Through a cross-sectional descriptive survey, data was obtained using a semi-structured questionnaire. The questionnaire was administered to a sample of 379 law firms spread across the country. Hypothesis formulated was tested using multivariate regression analysis. The findings show that industry structure and strategy were both found to have statistically significant moderating and intervening effect respectively on the relationship between firm characteristics and performance of law firms in Kenya. The study contributes to knowledge in the field of strategic management by using the findings of this study to monitor the crucial performance drivers in their law firms

Title: HOW INDUSTRY STRUCTURE AND STRATEGY AFFECT FIRM CHARACTERISTICS AND PERFORMANCE OF LAW FIRMS: KENYAN PERSPECTIVE

Abstract: The purpose of carrying out this study was to establish the influence of staff training and awareness on cybersecurity readiness in deposit-taking savings and credit cooperative organizations in Kenya. This study focused on SACCOs within Nairobi County and the target population was the 40 deposit-taking SACCOs in Nairobi County. Respondents were obtained from the ICT department, top management, and customer service department of the SACCOs, the selection of the respondents was done randomly. The instruments that were used were self-administered questionnaires and a census of all the SACCOs was conducted. Secondary data was obtained from SASRA’s reports and other relevant publications in referred journals. The collected data was coded and analyzed quantitatively (frequencies and percentages) as well as statistical inferential (regression analysis). This study also used the Pearson correlation and analysis of variance (ANOVA) to determine whether the independent variables had a combined effect on the dependent variable. The analyzed data was presented in tables, findings discussed, conclusions drawn, and policy implications outlined. The findings of the study revealed that there is a positive and significant correlation between staff training and cybersecurity readiness. The study also concluded that effective training programs aimed to enlighten the staff on cybersecurity issues are an important ingredient for cybersecurity readiness in deposit-taking SACCOs. The study recommended that more training programs are organized regularly to enhance cybersecurity readiness.

Abstract: The paper highlights the felt need of the tertiary institutions in the states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, north-eastern Nigeria where a state of emergency was declared due to the prevalence of terrorist attacks on institutions, where lives and properties were lost. Eliciting information from these tertiary institutions relied on structured (close-ended questionnaire) so to harvest the varied opinions that was anticipated to contribute to addressing the challenges of loss. Well sort solutions, way forward, prospects and benefits of environmental scanning formed part of the information asked, and what to do to save the institutions from monumental loss leveraging on different perspectives.  Recommendations offered were based on SWOT analysis. The intent was to encourage the academic libraries to take note of the internal and external environments, because from the two platforms comes help of identifying the strength, weakness, opportunity and threats that a well categorized scan avails as well as suggesting appropriate and implementable measures.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine Africa`s reaction to the coronavirus pandemic since its appearance in China in November 2019 and subsequent rapid proliferation worldwide, including Africa.  The ultimate goal was to use the disaster management narratives and strategies formulated not only in Africa but elsewhere, to help in pointing the way forward for Africa. Although all the continents took steps to address the challenge, the case of Africa was bound to raise eyebrows because despite the rich natural endowments of the continent, it has still been regarded as backward, with some observers doubting it could cope with anendemic of such a magnitude. As such, we sought to determine whether Africa was present or absent during the COVID-19 outbreak.Methodology: We analyzed secondary research sources such as published articles, speeches, press releases and books; as well as online sources, notably the Google website, and institutional databases such as that of the United Nations organizations. We employed the post-structural/structural theoretical framework of “presented signifiers” referring to “absented signifieds” in order to gain a deeper epistemological understanding of the notions of presentation, representation, and re-presentation as they relate to Africa in the context of COVID-19.  .Findings: Our study revealed that while Africa was – just like the other continents - taken by surprise by the outbreak, it still took a number of preventive measures and patient treatment that contributed in curbing the spread of the disease. The proof is that the huge numbers of casualties that some observers had predicted for Africa did not materialize as anticipated, especially at a time when the progression curve of the pandemic is believed to have started peaking already. Instead, in terms of number of people infected, the dead and the recovered, Africa seems to have done rather well.Conclusions: COVID-19 has undoubtedly served as an eye-opener to African policy makers. Firstly, it gives them the opportunity to prepare their countries better for a subsequent pandemic. Secondly, the crisis has exposed weaknesses in public policy and governance which African nations must seriously address. One of them is the realization that corruption is still endemic on the continent, the reason being that some officials abused COVID-19 resources placed at their disposal for the benefit of the general public. Africa will also have to strengthen its social policy in terms of education and literacy, as well as provide better health services.

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to establish the influence of career advancement opportunities on labour turnover in the multipurpose development training institutes in Kenya. The target population was 277 academic staff and 193 non-academic staff in the multipurpose development training institutes in Kenya. The total respondents were therefore 470 respondents. Therefore the sample size was 212 academic and non-academic staff in the multipurpose development training institutes in Kenya. The study used stratified random sampling to select the 124 academic staff and 88 nonacademic staff in the multipurpose development training institutes in Kenya. This method helped to eliminate bias. Data was collected using semi-structured questionnaires and drop and pick method. Quantitative data was analyzed using Statistical software (SPSS) by running frequencies, cross-tabulations correlation to generate various relationships, frequencies and comparisons. Qualitative data was transcribed and summarized to backup quantitative data. Data was analyzed using descriptive methods. Data was presented in form of figures, tables and charts. The study further concluded that career advancement opportunities influence labour turnover in the multipurpose training institutions. The study recommended that multipurpose development should use career advancement opportunities like study leaves and other methods like seminars to develop their competencies and skills to retain them for longer duration.

Abstract: International political economy is a relatively recent study within the political science field. It studies problems that arise from or are affected by the interaction of international politics, international economics, and different social systems and societal groups such as the farmers at the local level, different ethnic groups in a country, immigrants in a region such as the European Union, and the poor who exist transnationally in all countries. It explores a set of related questions that arise from issues such as international trade, international finance, relations between wealthier and poorer countries, the role of multinational corporations, and the problems of hegemony (the dominance, either physical or cultural, of one country over part or all of the world), along with the consequences of economic globalization. This study looks at the international economic factors ranging from politics of trade as well as international events that shape the international political economy.

The study recommended that multipurpose development training institutes should enact policies like pay rise periodically to motivate employees in the multipurpose training institutions to retain them for longer duration.

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the best practices of the government of Cotabato City particularly on the implementation of its programs. The study utilized exploratory-case study method using interview guide questions to key informants like the mayor, vice-mayor, city administrator, councilor, planning officer and secretary. Data was interpreted using document and content analysis.

Findings revealed that Cotabato City envisions to become a “peaceful, secured and highly developed multi-cultural community”. Its mission geared towards “Cotabateños, enjoy equal rights and access to quality and basic social services thru continuous improvement and innovation.”

Cotabato City Government has received several awards particularly Seal of Good Housekeeping was translated into good governance practices. The Seal of Good Housekeeping was achieved through the effort and initiatives of the local government officials with the cooperation of the stakeholders of Cotabato city.

The Seal of Good Housekeeping required local government units to maintain a sound financial status, and provide documents to prove it. Aside from good financial housekeeping, there were also other factors like peace and order, business friendliness, environmental protection, social protection, and others. Hence, in establishing the Seal of good Housekeeping was not an easy task. They have to use diplomacy in working out things towards achieving the award, conflicts and opposition they took care in dealing with people involved where some employees were supporters of previous administration. They involved everybody in the process, they will follow and communicate the vision with clear explanation. One of the effective processes used was the spirit of teambuilding in order to make people realize that election was over and it’s time for everybody to work for the people of Cotabato City. The Cotabato City Government was able to bring them in one vision it showed they were now working together.

Abstract: Leaders plays a significant role in success of any organization as they formulate strategies, make decisions, and implement them at workplace. As the employees ' dissatisfaction in Canadian organization are increasing overtime, which ultimately lower their organization engagement. It arises a need to ascertain numerous aspects to enhance the organizational engagement of employees in Canadian organization, therefore the main aim of this research study is to identify the moderating role of leadership among the association of Islamic Work Ethics and Organizational Engagement. In order to conduct this research study, four major independent variables, i.e. devotion, cooperate, modesty and honesty, one moderating variable i.e. leadership, and one dependent variable i.e. organization engagement, are utilized. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to provide theoretical support to the research issue, mainly emphasizing Muslim religious beliefs and Islamic theories. Moreover, questionnaire is used as a research instruments consisting specific questions for each variable, and required data was collected from 234 Muslim employees working in Canadian organization. The data gathered through survey is analyzed in the Statistical software IBM SPSS, while using different statistical techniques i.e. frequency analysis, correlation matrix and regression analysis (ANOVA). The results of this research reveal that Honesty, Devotion, Cooperation and Modesty have significant relationship with Leadership, in addition Honesty, Devotion, Cooperation and Modesty have significant relationship with Organization Engagement. Moreover, Leadership moderates the relationship between Modesty and Organization Engagement, and the relationship between Cooperation and Organization Engagement.

Abstract: This study discusses the European Union assistance to Myanmar, notably focusing on the areas of education, health, agriculture, and rural development sectors from 2012 to 2019. Since the new civilian government took power in 2011, there has been a general interest of the international community, particularly the European Union in providing assistance and expanding their investment potential in Myanmar. The European Union has since become Myanmar's vital partner in politics, economic as well as social transformation. This study examines the impact of EU assistance to Myanmar’s vulnerable people through Civil Society Organizations. It also examines the nature and forms of these supports and the rationale behind this EU generosity towards Myanmar.

Abstract: Access to financial services is critical to success in the modern economy. Financing women projects is closely related to their potential to succeeding socio-economically. The formal financial institutions have failed to address and meet the credit needs of the very poor entrepreneurs and women in particular and have resulted into popularity of informal microfinance groups. This study therefore soughtto establish the effect membership power in table banking influence women’s socio-economic welfare. The study adopted an Ex-Post Facto research design and 576 table banking group members from Emgwen Sub-county in Nandi County Kenya comprised the target population. The sample size for the study was arrived at by using the formula propounded by Yamane (1967) cited in Ijeoma and Nwufo (2015) and employed stratified sampling technique to determine a sample of 236 respondents drawn from registered self-help groups practicing table banking and purposive sampling (Judgment sampling) was used to select the 6 field staff as key informants from the Nandi County Department of Social Development (DSD), Joyful Women Organization (JOYWO) and Saving Internally and Lending Communities (SILC) working directly with the table banking groups. Data from the field was collected through the use of questionnaires issued to respondents practicing table banking. Interview schedules with key informants selected from the table banking institutions in the area were also administered.  Finally, data was analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. Data analysis for quantitative data was analysed using both inferential and descriptive statisticswhile for qualitative data, thematic analysis was adopted. The study findings indicated that membership power (β = 0.134; p<0.05) influence women’s socio-economic welfare in Emgwen Sub-county in Nandi County. Therefore the study recommends that there is need to build the capacity of women groups through training, lending institutions need to reach to all women groups to increase women loans uptake capacity, there is a need to seal information gaps on women groups and women need to have courage and ability that they can still perform and operate business as opposed to relying on their members and families.

Abstract: The research includes an important study which is "the features of the Pop Art's works and its effect on the 3D Animation films and the changes that appeared at the end of the sixties in plastic Art movement. whereas the hereditary of aestheticism, which was related to the idea of Art's privacy, was abolished and replaced by a new reality of artistic work that derives its value and aestheticism from society which has characterized by the rapid change.

The Plastic Art is surpassed by a number of qualities and features. Imagination is the most outstanding one.so when the artist's imagination increases, the value of the produced Art increases as well. Since the concept of imagination expresses a group of mental cohere in the artist's mind.

After that, there is the distortion. It means that sometimes the artist stays away from the abidance by reality as he increases, exaggerates or deletes some things. This style of distortion differs from an artist to another. It is considered as a special print of each artist .which is reflected in the Art that he introduces. As well, his style is usually influenced by the school that he was affected by.
