Abstract: The rapid evolution of technology companies necessitates a dynamic and effective approach to talent acquisition. This paper explores the strategies employed by technology firms to optimize their recruitment processes and secure top-tier talent. Through a comprehensive review of traditional and innovative recruitment methods, the study examines the role of employer branding, the integration of technology and artificial intelligence in recruitment, and the importance of candidate experience. By analyzing case studies and current industry practices, the paper identifies key strategies that have proven successful in attracting and retaining skilled professionals in the tech sector. The findings reveal that a strong employer brand, combined with advanced recruitment technologies and a candidate-centric approach, significantly enhances the effectiveness of talent acquisition. Abstract: This study explores the pivotal role of social media marketing in shaping online customer purchase intentions within the food industry. With the proliferation of digital platforms, food companies increasingly leverage social media to engage consumers, enhance brand visibility, and drive sales. This research investigates how different social media strategies—such as influencer partnerships, user-generated content, targeted advertisements, and interactive promotions—affect consumer behavior and purchasing decisions. Utilizing a mixed-method approach, we conducted quantitative surveys with a sample of online consumers and qualitative interviews with marketing professionals to gain a comprehensive understanding of these dynamics. Our findings reveal that social media marketing significantly influences customer purchase intentions through enhanced brand trust, perceived authenticity, and emotional engagement. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of platform-specific strategies and demographic targeting in maximizing marketing effectiveness. These insights offer valuable implications for food companies seeking to optimize their social media presence and drive online sales.

Abstract: This study examines the impact of performance appraisal systems on employee motivation and job satisfaction in hospital settings. In an increasingly competitive healthcare environment, effective performance management is crucial for maintaining high levels of employee engagement and ensuring quality patient care. This research aims to explore the relationship between performance appraisals and two critical outcomes: motivation and job satisfaction. Using a mixed-methods approach, quantitative data were collected through surveys administered to hospital staff, while qualitative insights were obtained through in-depth interviews with healthcare professionals. The findings indicate that transparent, fair, and constructive performance appraisal processes significantly enhance employee motivation and job satisfaction. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of regular feedback, goal-setting, and recognition in fostering a positive work environment. The implications of these findings suggest that hospitals should invest in comprehensive training for managers on effective performance appraisal techniques and prioritize the development of appraisal systems that are perceived as equitable and supportive by employees. Ultimately, improving performance appraisal systems can lead to higher employee morale, reduced turnover rates, and better patient outcomes.

Abstract: Effective project management stands as a cornerstone for organizational growth, particularly in the healthcare sector where innovative practices are imperative for delivering high-quality services. Despite advancements, challenges persist, including technology project failures, inadequate research, and issues of transparency. Smart Applications Limited, a provider of ICT services, operates within this dynamic environment, facing pressures to adapt to disruptive digital technologies while ensuring project success. This study seeks to investigate the effect of agile management practices on project performance of Smart Applications Limited. Adopting a mixed-method research design, this study integrates quantitative and qualitative approaches to gain comprehensive insights into project management dynamics. The target population comprises 60 project managers within Smart Applications Limited, with data collected through questionnaires. Utilizing the census sampling technique ensures the inclusion of all managers from relevant departments. The study employs the multiple regression model to establish correlations between project management styles and performance indicators at Smart Applications Limited. By addressing these objectives, this research contributes to filling the existing gap in understanding success factors for project implementation in the healthcare sector. Through insights gained, Smart Applications Limited and similar organizations can enhance their project management strategies, fostering sustainable growth and resilience in an ever-evolving healthcare landscape

Abstract: Underachievement in Chemistry amongst secondary schools in Kenya has dimmed the hopes of many students in progressing into higher institutions to study science-based courses and greatly impacting the growth of the labour market. The study was based on establishing how learning styles predicts achievement in Chemistry among Form three secondary school students in Njoro Sub-County, Nakuru County, Kenya. Through this study, the cases of poor Chemistry achievement among public secondary school students in the Sub-County was addressed. The quantitative study adopted correlational research design in the study. A target population of 3976 form three students from 47 public secondary schools were selected for the study, from which 400 students in 14 schools made up the study sample. Data collection was done through use of questionnaires and document analysis. A pilot study used a total of 40 students from two public secondary schools in the Molo Sub-County. Cronbach's alpha was used to determine internal consistency of the research instruments and a reliability coefficient above 0.7 was established. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24.0 examined quantitative data. Inferential statistics consisted determining Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis, and descriptive statistics entailed frequency counts, range, minimum and maximum values, percentages, mean and standard deviations. Results from the study indicated a positive and significant relationship between auditory, kinesthetic and visual learning preference and Chemistry achievement. For auditory preference the correlation was positive and significant (r(360)=.80, p<.05). For kinesthetic preference a positive and significant relationship was found (r(360)=.76,p<.05). Moreover, a positive and significant relationship was established for visual preference (r(360)=.74, p<.05). Further findings revealed that most respondents opted for visual learning preference (76.9%) as it was linked to higher Chemistry scores (mean score was 56.13). Also, results indicated that self-efficacy, auditory, visual and kinesthetic learning preference significantly affected Chemistry achievement (F(4,355), p = .00. This study recommends that parents and teachers should be concerned with activities that can reinforce students’ skills in learning styles.

Abstract: The success of a project relies on effective leadership and coordination among the many project stakeholders. Nevertheless, numerous NGO initiatives worldwide still struggle to meet their goals and do not meet expectations. Because of ineffective stakeholder management methods, more than 30% of NGOs in Kenya experience project failures and may not achieve their objectives. Therefore, the objective of this research was to evaluate the impact of stakeholder expectations on the project outcomes of NGOs operating in the healthcare industry in Nairobi County. The suggested assessment was based on a descriptive study design. A total of 118 NGO staff in the health sector involved in seven projects in Kenya were targeted for the research study. Using a method of stratified sampling, one hundred and ten 110 respondents were randomly selected from senior managers, project managers, project supervisors, project and team members of chosen Health sector NGOs, and community leaders of project beneficiaries. Structured questionnaires were used to collect primary data through the drop and pick method. The findings uncovered in the survey noted an insignificant negative effect of stakeholders’ expectation on project performance funded by NGOs. This implies that the level of expectation held by stakeholders, such as community members, beneficiaries, or other relevant actors, does not have a substantial direct effect on the outcomes of the projects funded by NGOs in Nairobi City County. The study recommends that NGOs should prioritize developing and implementing effective stakeholder engagement strategies.

Abstract: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder, whose main symptoms are inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. This disorder is associated with an alteration in the harmonious development of the affected individuals, being associated with alterations in the family environment, school environment and in the social environment. Three types of ADHD are described: hyperactivity, attention deficit or mixed (combines the two previous types). It must be taken into account that each boy and girl with ADHD may present different symptoms since each one may present a combination of difficulties and strengths. This disorder affects both the academic, social and family spheres. In the family environment, a series of strategies can be carried out such as: Increase self-confidence and self-esteem; help you interpret the behaviors of others and your own; promote the autonomy of the child, avoiding all types of overprotection; accept the minor as he is; expand the attention span of boys and girls by asking them to perform simple and calm tasks.

Abstract: Survivors of the devastating war that lasted decades in Afghanistan are now looking for a long-term arrangement for peace and security so that they can go back to normal living. Given the financial problems coupled with the administrative situation threatened by powerful domestic proxies of international players, the government of the country is not able to handle the problems alone in this war-torn country. Despite the complexities involved, the engagement of non-state actors in the Afghan peace process is inevitable to accelerate the progress.

This study aims to examine the diverse array of non-state actors, including international mediators, civil society organizations, and domestic power groups, and to match their underlying interests and strategies to attain peace. Delving into a range of sources, the article strives to assess the scope of engagement and the impact of non-state actors on the peace process. These entities have proved helpful in liaising the efforts of the sitting administration with the nature and capacity of domestic power groups, civil society organizations, and external contributors. They could help reduce domestic tensions and portray the true picture of internal difficulties and complexities to the donors by filling the communication gap wherever possible and through back-door negotiations. Deep down it is not only beneficial for the Afghan administration but for the domestic power groups and civil society organizations as well, since these entities also want to have an association with the commanding authorities to safeguard their interests.

The study asserts that balanced combined efforts by the government and the non-state actors are needed to eliminate domestic differences and promote peace and harmony in the country. Especially when the national government lacks resources after such a long war and anarchy in the country, it will be helpful for Afghanistan and its regional neighbors.

Abstract: Afghanistan holds a special geographical placement in the region and has been endowed with lots of natural sources. However, most of these resources are not readily available for consumption and need exploration and the level of processing which is beyond the capacity of a country devastated by decades of war. Dedicated and serious support is needed to enable Afghanistan to connect within the region and beyond in terms of economics, politics, and security.

This research has probed into complex dynamics of reconstruction efforts underway in Afghanistan. India had gained influence up until the 2021 when the US withdrew from Afghanistan, that led to the establishment of Taliban and a decline in Indian dominance and interests. However, due to its long-time rivalry with Pakistan, India had somewhat reestablished these relations with the strategy to encircle Pakistan and to establish dominance in the area, while the other regional powers were assessing it as India’s adherence to American aims and part of prospective U.S. strategic actions toward Afghanistan. This research also examines Pakistan's viewpoint and sheds light on the steps Pakistan might take to weaken the Indo-Afghan connection.

The increased engagement of India and Afghanistan on economic and security issues was viewed politically and with skepticism and as an anti-Pakistan agenda by Pakistan as it has a. Also, due to, India was not viewed amongst core participants by the regional powers. As Afghanistan underwent reconstruction, India surfaced as a prominent participant and invested extensively in multiple development projects. Indian proactive engagement had led to deeper Indo-Afghan ties, leading to economic and political restructuring in the region. With a historical perspective of tensions between India and Pakistan, this article has examined how this elevation in relations between the two would impact Pakistan. It explores economic influences, geopolitical implications that tend to cause a reshuffle in regional power balances, and security concerns for Pakistan. The article provides an understanding of the three-sided connection between India, Afghanistan, and Pakistan from the perspective of Afghan reconstruction, where the situation direly demands proactive assistance for Afghanistan, with a clear approach above and beyond any advantageous adventure, for the long-term stability of Afghanistan and the region.
