Abstract: With the scaling growth and technological advancements taking over as priorities, the need to adapt an effective method of Communication has come of utmost importance. The ability to communicate effectively isn't bound by a good vocal tone or enriched vocabulary rather it is an amalgamation of a good vocabulary, positive attitude, confidence, good inter-personal skills and listening skills among others. A great speaker isn't born with a set of specific in-built qualities that define him. The aspects that lead to being a good speaker are developed over time, with multitude of toiling and hard work. "Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam once said, "It's not the surroundings that define how good a speaker you are, it is your in-built self-developed mechanism that defines you". In testimony to that many great speakers have had their own success stories that often lead to autobiographies, with the amount of effort they had to put in to gain the finesse they have achieved. Through this paper, we seek to find the possible factors that redefine the standards of Communication and obtain real-time experience on the effects of 'Stage Fright' on various individuals aged 18-20 years.

Title: Effective Communication Strategies on Stage: A Comprehensive Case Study

Abstract: The aim of this study is to establish the macroeconomic determinants of tourism sector performance in Malawi. Specifically, the study focuses on macroeconomic factors that affect in-bound international tourist receipts. It is hypothesised that the levels of per capita income for tourists’ source countries, nominal exchange rate, the levels of investment in the tourism sector; and political and economic stability of Malawi and/or neighbouring countries in the sub-region might be the main determinants. For estimation, the paper considers data spanning from 1980 to 2013 for the above-named variables. Ordinary Least Squares method is employed to analyse the relationship between the four variables and the level of international tourist receipts, used as a dependent variable. Upon testing, co-integration was established amongst the variables, although individually, the variables portrayed varying levels of integration. This enabled the paper to analyse both short and long run relationships in the model.

The results show that in the short-run, all variables are insignificant save for political and economic instability, which shows a negative relationship to tourist receipts, though weakly significant. Nevertheless, the long run equilibrium relationship shows that a rise in per capita income for source countries has a significant positive impact on tourist receipts in Malawi. In addition, political instability has a long-run, significant negative impact on receipts. But exchange rate and investment coefficients portray no significant impact.

Abstract: The communication technology has drastically changed in the last couple of decades switching from predominated modes of communication to today’s more personalized modes of communication. The introduction of smartphones plays a major factor as its adoption rate surpasses even those of the Internet. The study was initiated to analyze how widespread diffusion of smartphones is changing the face of social interaction amongst the undergraduate and postgraduate students. Over 100 students participated in an extensive survey on Campus in the UAE, picked indiscriminately to comprehend the relationship between statistical data of utilization of smartphones and the behavioral insights linked to it.

Abstract: Gender socialization entails learning how to perform the behaviors that are consistent with one’s gender. Gender socialization occurs not only through the acquisition of gender-appropriate behaviors, but also through observing adults in the household, who are role models to children. The study was conducted in Hisar city and two schools were randomly selected from the selected schools. Respondents of class-XIth and class-XIIth were taken. A list of students was prepared from the respective class and from the list a sample of 30 adolescents each from class XIth and XIIth were taken randomly thus making a total sample of 60 adolescents. The parents of these adolescents were also interviewed.

Abstract: Understanding customers want and preferences are the key success factors for the auto manufacturers. It is crucial to identify the factors that customers prefer the best and are the most influential on their decision making process. With this information automotive industry can offer promotions according to consumers’ interest, which will raise their revenue. We used simple random sampling because we were looking for subjects from variety of backgrounds. The research sampling was done by randomly giving survey to people in several areas in Bangkok districts. 300 questionnaires were given out and collected. In this research, the research design is exploratory research. The reason for this is because there is little research on the independent variables chosen for this research. This research is a quantitative research. This research is based on survey conducted by researchers. A survey is a formalized set of questions for obtaining information from respondents. The question was if you were choose between price, car model, safety, brand, or color of a car, what do you think will affect your buying decision the most? 66.67% of subjects were females. 33.33% of the subjects were males 37% of subjects say the brand of a car affects their buying decision the most, followed by price at 33%, then model at 23%. 50% of subjects choose the color of a car is the factor that least affects their buying decision, followed by safety at 27%. Brand and price were found to be the most influence and color, model and safety the least influence.

Abstract: The adverse effects of extreme climatic conditions, which cause discomfort to man and also hamper various human activities in their various residences is quite alarming. To man, buildings should serve as protectors from adverse environmental occurrences. This research analyzed the thermal characteristics of brick material among other building material as a means of recommending the fitting brick material in Girei, Adamawa State, Nigeria. This study evaluated the significant difference between mud brick house and cement block house. Mud brick house performed a little better than cement block house when it comes to heat regulation. Cement block house has a mean value of 35.440C while mud brick house has 34.880C in the dry season, while in the rainy season, cement block has 30.1600 and mud brick has 26.7600 as their mean values. Using SPSS Package at 0.05 level of significance, there was a significant thermal difference between the two buildings at both seasons considered. Values were lesser than 0.05 in both seasons as the rainy season was 0.001 and dry season was 0.000 respectively.

Abstract: There is a need to proffer solution to the relatively high temperature being experienced in various residential buildings, especially in the tropics. The kind of building material being used are of paramount importance when considering how to reduce heat passage from the ambient into the indoors of the residences. This research considered brick material among other building material. Therefore, there was an examination of thermal heat transfer rate comparison between rice husk ash brick and the popular sand crete brick. To achieve this, a 9 inches (230mm) Rice Husk Ash Block was produced (50% of cement content of the normal 100% cement block was replaced with RHA) and compared to the popular full cement 9 inches (230mm) block. Thermal Measurements were taken at the heights of 3.5cm and 23cm. At 3.5cm height, RHA brick has maximum temperature of 260C while full cement block has 440C. The minimum values at 3.5cm were 30C for RHA block and 130C full cement block. At 23cm above the burning side of the block, the mean temperature of RHA and full cement blocks was 1.3333 and 4.6667 and the maximum value were 3 and 100C. Paired sample test showed there is significant difference between the RHA and Full cement block.

Abstract: Conflict occurs when there is disagreement on values, motivations, ideas and desires. It is not an understatement to note that women suffer greatly during conflict because of their gender sensitivity and the fact that their husbands, children, fathers and brothers are killed. Thus, there is need for women who are at the centre of it all to contribute and participate on the platform of resolution dialogue for peaceful co-existence. Information is everything, which is the reason librarians should package information for the purpose of empowering women with knowledge and strategies for meaningful peaceful development. This study was carried out in Anambra state, Nigeria. Thirty five (35) women drawn from members of umuada group, women wing of town union and student union were sampled through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Key Informant Interview (KII). It was discovered that women have various groups in the communities where they participate actively for their welfare and community development. Also discovered were the extreme sufferings of women during conflict as well as the strength and inbuilt power women have in managing adverse circumstances. They revealed their use of dialogue, advocacies to the elders, religious leaders and other stakeholders in preventing conflicts. Another discovered was that provisions of information empowerment like seminar, lectures, pamphlets and film shows for peace building were assessed through NGOs innovative activities. The challenges affecting women participation in conflict resolution were found out to be exclusion from decision making bodies, poverty, cultural norms, inadequacy of information among others. The study recommended that librarians should disseminate information and create awareness on promoting peaceful co-existence in the families, communities, workplaces and the communities. They should partner with NGOs, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, etc towards disseminating information for conflict prevention and mitigation.

Abstract: Changing values lead to changes in Environmentalism and especially in environmental attitudes thus it can be said that inculcation of environmental values from the beginning of the child development will definitely influence his attitudes towards environment. In a practical sense, environmental problems in Asia are becoming more and more serious. In comparison to all others, young generation have the potential for constructing a powerful collective force in society for environmental protection. Past studies found that supporters of environmental protection tended to be younger in age. Therefore with appropriate guidance incorporation of values for environment and environmental attitude in adolescents could constitute an important and legitimate societal force for environmental protection which will positively enhance the quality of the environment.

Abstract: The perception of service quality and its impact on customer satisfaction is measured comparing statistically five major dimension of service quality (SERVQUAL). The relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction where customer of Salil Hotel were selected as the sample. The purpose of this study is to highlight the service quality of Salil Hotel and impacts of customer satisfaction by examining the basic principles of service quality. In this study the quantitative method was used. The primary data is collected from the hotel by questionnaires and interview. A questionnaire was used as the data collection technique and Ruetzler (2005) scale, which was developed to measure service quality in Salil Hotel, was used for creating the survey form and the secondary data is gotten from articles, journals and online resources. In the methodology the factor analysis by using ANOVA model, were performed on 93 valid sample survey data. The ANOVA model analysis was applied to five dimension of service quality (SERVQUAL) that were determine with age group as a result a factor analysis and it was found that these dimension affect the customer satisfaction positively. Among the service quality dimension, it was determined that different age group have different opinion about service quality. It was concluded that there is significant relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction. The research findings confirmed that there is a positive relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction. Furthermore it is among remarkable finding of the research that statistically significant differences were found between age groups.

Abstract: This article analyses the experts and teachers views to determine the adequacy and relevancy of the concepts of meteorology and environmental education (EE) in raising awareness of secondary school students’ on management of environmental problems and conservation. The study involved collection of the interview responses from the experts of environment, meteorology, forest and secondary school geography teachers that were used to analyze the content of the syllabus. It was found out that the concepts of climate change, meteorology and environmental education; are included in the syllabus but not comprehensively because they are not linked to one another and with the concepts dealing with human activities. Therefore establishing such a link is a means for raising students’ awareness on management of the environmental problems. It is recommended that some concepts of meteorology and environmental education found in the geography syllabus should be integrated with subjects such as chemistry, biology and civics.

Abstract: The real meaning of employment opportunities in rural perspective is that most of the people living in rural areas should have enough opportunities to earn so as to take care of themselves, their families, their neighbors, their animals, lands, forestry, and all the natural resources for the benefit of present and future generations. The main occupation of people in this area is agriculture. Agriculture provides the principal means of livelihood for over 58.4% of India's population. This is not a full-time occupation so people undertake many other non-agricultural activities so as to utilize their spare hours and earn some extra money. The best strategy to enhance employment opportunities in a rural area would be to improve the quality and quantity of agricultural produce and production of existing cottage industries to meet the international standards and keeping the cost of inputs as low as possible. Besides this, new ways of earning are to be explored. Agriculture and non-agricultural activities are just like any other production units and service industries, which require good technical and managerial skills to be competitive in the market. In fact, agriculture is one of the most difficult production processes. It is done outdoors; involves living things not the materials  depends on many factors such as monsoon, soil condition, humidity, temperature; danger from rats, insects,  pests and  cattle. The produce is to be of high grade keeping the investment as low as possible. It is perishable commodity requiring good storage and preservation facilities and time bound distribution. Production in the other parts of the country and world affects the profitability of this occupation. The land is to be taken care of for further use. Agriculture is not a kind of profession to be undertaken by anyone lacking in technical knowledge. Technical education plays a vital role in economic development of rural areas. It will train the workers in technical skills and equip individuals with entrepreneurship so that they can create local business and jobs for others. The technically trained workforce will be able to get a high return and to expand market share by quality management. They will become more innovative, competitive and will be able to solve their problems and explore new possibilities for further growth.

Abstract: Man is constantly in interaction with his world; these include the world of animals, plants, other living and non-living things, both physical and abstract. Ever since man emerged from the primitive stage into his current civilized status, he has had to wonder about the information he constantly receives from his environment; whenever he, therefore, exercise faculty or power of reason to draw conclusions or inferences from fact of experience or promises, he is said to be engaged in reasoning. The search for reliable knowledge through valid reasoning led to the development of what is known today as scientific or critical reasoning; this seems to suggest that critical reasoning belongs only to the scientists; however, this is incorrect. Critical method of reasoning is applicable to a wide range of subjects like the natural sciences, social sciences, history, literature, and philosophy. Logically, these disciplines are complementary in nature, therefore, collaborative research is inevitable among researchers in Nigerian’s tertiary institutions; and that is our objective in this paper.

Abstract: This is a study intended to explore and gain insight into the physical and psychosocial condition of street children in Dasmarinas City, Philippines from June, 2014 to February, 2015. The street children were selected based on three street child categories: “children on the street”, “children of the street”, and “abandoned children” Phenomenological research design was utilized using interview and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) among 12 (twelve) street children aging 7 to 17 years old. Another (4) four key informants were also selected from the barangay officials at streets, officials from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and NGO’s from Dasmariñas City, and Philippine National Police Office (PNP) were interviewed. Purposive sampling was employed in determining the participants. The result revealed that generally, street children have disrupted home environments; houses were used to be a drinking spots and drug dens, and extreme family conflicts involving verbal, physical and sexual abuse. Furthermore, street children were forced to contribute in their family income, neglect and abuse were evident within the family, and they cannot even manage to attend school. These are the reasons why they became street children. They did not develop trust from their family or previous environment, but was able to develop autonomy and initiative. Street children labelled themselves as a ragged beggar, homeless person and people who sleep anywhere. Their life is condemned to a meaningless existence by the general public, which cast such   with negative label such as pag-pag (leftovers), pangangalakal (junk), at panonobre (trash). Therefore, some of them adopted a negative image, social pathology, crime and expression of prejudice.
