Abstract: Today, it is said that the colonial age is over, and the new age is called “postcolonial”. However, the traces of colonialism can still be observed in the postcolonial period, for colonialism opened a big wound in the psychology, culture and identity of the once colonized people. Thus, the major themes in the works written in the postcolonial period have been the fragmentation and identity crisis experienced by the once colonized peoples and the important impacts of colonialism on the indigenous. Derek Walcott in his Dream on Monkey Mountain attempts a psychopathology of colonialism. Makak, the chief character, suffers from in Fanon’s words, arsenal of complexes. However, Walcott also articulates the remedy from this kind of inferiority complex through the decolonization of the mind. Using the arguments of Frantz Fanon’s The Wretched of the Earth and Black Skin, White Masks, the researcher attempts to prove that Makak has lost his identity and is self-loathing because of the effects of colonialism on him, and that he only regains his identity after he sheds the trapping.

Abstract: Information Technology has made revolutionary changes in the dissemination of information and knowledge. On line transactions on banking, reservation of tickets, downloading of certificates, procurement of goods and services, electronic mails are advantageous and save time, energy and money. But with the increase in the use of computers, internet and mobile phones in our daily life, there is also a corresponding increase in Cybercrimes. In spite of very high punishments prescribed by law, such crimes are on the rise. Cybercrime is the deadliest type of crime. It can disturb existing set-up within the fraction of a second. Thus, Cyber criminality has potentiality to show its effect across the globe. The problem of Cybercrime can be understood by understanding Cyber technology. The world is witnessing the situation of ever growing field of Cyber technology. The technological growth rate is too fast. In last decade itself, the number of citizens increased by 100% in India. Technological adoption is at its peak. However, the problem of Cyber criminality oozing out of technological adoption is not properly tackled along the line of its growth. Thus, the period has been witnessing the different pace of development between Cyber technology and infrastructure in preventing Cybercrime. Within a short span of decades, a huge gap between Cyber technology and Cyber criminality has happened without any hope of bridging the gap.

Abstract: As a long-standing order breaks down, Turkey, Iran, and the Arab states of the Levant and the Gulf face both new competition and fresh opportunities for cooperation .In the past decade, Turkish-Iranian cooperation visibly intensified. Turkish energy needs and Iran’s vast oil and natural gas resources have been an important driver of the increasing Turkish-Iranian cooperation. Iran is the second-largest supplier of natural gas to Turkey, behind Russia. Iran is also an important source of crude oil. However, the degree of cooperation between the two countries should not be exaggerated. Turkey and Iran have historically been, and continue to be, rivals rather than close partners. While they may share certain economic and security interests, their interests are at odds in many areas across the Middle East. The two states have fundamentally different political identities and ideologies. The Arab Spring has given the political and ideological rivalry between Turkey and Iran greater impetus. The fall of authoritarian regimes in Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt, in addition to uprisings in Syria, Yemen, and Bahrain, has undermined the political order in the Middle East. Turkey and Iran both have sought to exploit the emerging “new order” in the region to achieve their respective interests in the Middle East. Relations have been strained by a number of issues. The most important factor contributing to the growing strains in relations has been Turkey’s support for the opposition to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Syria is Iran’s only true state ally in the Middle East. Since 1979, the Secular, Alawite-dominated, Baathist Syrian regime and Iran’s Shi’a theocracy have strongly supported each other. Assad’s downfall would be a serious strategic blow to Iran and could result in the growth of Turkey’s influence. It could also have a demonstration effect on Iran, strengthening internal opposition to the Iranian regime and deepening the current divisions within the Iranian leadership. Iraq has also become a field of growing competition between Turkey and Iran. The withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq has created a power vacuum that Iran has attempted to fill. The sectarian conflict between the Shi’a and Sunni has drawn Turkey and Iran into the Iraqi conflict on opposing sides. While the Turkish-Iranian competition in Iraq is not as significant as the tensions over Syria, it could gain new strength with Assad’s downfall, leading to widespread sectarian violence that could be highly destabilizing.

Abstract: The recent change in Myanmar government, has open up many doors for the future, however the country is one of the poorest in South East Asia. Over 80% of the poverty incidence is concentrated in the rural areas. There are two main key issues that contribute to the rural poverty. The first is the unskilled labour are subject to uneven wages or low salaries and second the poor infrastructure which lacks access to particularly land. Over 50% of the agricultural population are landless. The high human concentration and low financial returns creates a low access to resource/ capital in the rural areas, this helps to maintain the current rural poverty concentration. The low asset and ownership amongst the rural and poor household restricts their capacity to get any credit. Currently the country’s strategy does not target the poor people in rural areas (Marianna and Robert, 2013). The economy growth is steady but the growth is still slow and the inflation rate is over 10%. The unemployed rate is also on the higher side. The demand for the micro-finance loans is greater than its supply; some source believes the demand is four times than the supply in the country. The population is young and lack education and other skills. A large number of people in Myanmar are traveling overseas for work, as the salaries and wage offers are more abroad. The GDP per capita is around $ 1400, which is currently ranked the country as the 150th in the world. The large demand in loans will result in an increasing of the interest rate, in order to discourage people from borrowing or as a result of the supply and demand theory. The number of increase micro-finance businesses is a good sign, but the firm’s take the risk as the people may not be able to return the loans on time and other factors those might affect the profit making.
The primary objective of this research is to explore factors affect the demand and supply of Microfinance loans and saving, how the micro-loans and micro-saving (the components of MF) opportunities affect the demand of Microfinance Institutions in Kamayut, Myanmar. This research can be targeted towards people who are 18 years old or more, who have or have not past experiences with Microfinance, want to save or loan money in Kamayut.
By using quantity method in this research the target sample size 397 people in Kamayut area, there were 390 respondents were completed the survey and 7 respondents were incomplete. Most of the respondents were female, as they covers over 67.7 % and they were 264 females responding altogether and 126 respondents were male which counts for 32.3%. The majority of the respondents are in the age’s group of 28-31 and 32-35 which counts for 230 respondents. Majority of the respondent selected the income level of 100,000-130,000 and 140,000-170,000 which counts for 237 respondents. Majority of the respondents selected the lower than diploma/college option, which represents 147 respondents, which counts for 37.8%.
A large portion of the respondents is familiar with the concept of MF and based on the result of the survey is suggests that majority of the population in Kamayut have knowledge about MF. The change in interest rate directly affect the demand in micro-loan, the developing countries have limited supply of MF which results in a shortage. The positive mean value for demand and supply for micro loan and saving suggests that these two factors are the main ones that are affecting the overall demand for MF.

First EPZ in the country was established in 1965 in kandla (Gujarat) and India was the first country in Asia where EPZ was started. In the country new economic policy begun in 1991 and major policy shift from EPZ to SEZ was came in 1997-2002 EXIM policy statement. SEZ bill was passed in 2005 by parliament and ministry of commerce notified SEZ law on 9 Feb 2006. Eight EPZs which were operational have been converted in SEZs. After the enactment of new SEZ policy, governments have given great chunk of approvals. Most of the approved SEZ are from IT/ITES/Engineering sector and only few developed states got majority of approvals. Andhra Pradesh is frontrunner in approval of SEZs. SEZ leads to change in socio, economic and environmental conditions in the society. Huge land has been acquired for the establishment of the SEZs, which affect the employment level and food security in the country. SEZs are not need to follow environmental regulations. Abstract: Myanmar’s emergence from past 10 years of being stranded provides an opportunity to learn from the experiences of its neighbours to guide and monitor its economic transition and grasp strong and inclusive economic growth. The growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) therefore is an effective mechanism in securing socioeconomic growth and a vital contributor to the Myanmar’s economic development. The objective of this research is to examine the relationship between access to finance and SME development and management, to examine the relationship between access to market and SME development and management and to examine the relationship between access to technology and innovation and SME development and management.
65.7% of respondents had advocated that Myanmar initiative of SME can contribute in increase in small scale industries which can be significant enough to increase SME development and management followed by the respondents who said its important were 24.3% .A tiny majority of respondents said it’s not important and not at all important accounted as 1.8% and 3% respectively. The amount of neutral respondents was only 5.3%. According to the researcher the above figure can be predicted as good enough to determine the results.
52.1 of respondents had advocated that Myanmar initiative of SME can contribute in increase in medium scale industries which can be significant enough to increase SME development and management followed by the respondents who said its very important were 40.8% . A tiny majority of respondents said it’s not important accounted as 3.0% only. The amount of neutral guests was only 4.1%. According to the researcher the above figure can be predicted as good enough to determine the results.
65.7% of respondents had advocated that Myanmar initiative of SME can contribute in increase in large scale industries which can be significant enough to increase SME development and management followed by the respondents who said its important were 24.3% . According to the researcher the above figure can be predicted as good enough to determine the results.
The study also tested reliability (Cronboch’s alpha) of the instrument so that it enables to produce a robust and valid result. Five-point Likert scale was used to measure all indicators where “1” indicated the least favourable response alternative (Strongly disagree) and “5” the most (Strongly agree). The pre-test was conducted to assess the reliability and validity of the questionnaire. Basically, pre-test was to find out whether the questionnaires were simple and understandable to respondents and at the same time to make it a comprehensive tool to collect required information and data for pre-analysing.
On the advice of experts and the results obtained from the pre-test, the questionnaire will be modified. The study has chosen 30 samples to do the pre-test. The pretext for the reliability test was collected by 30 employees form companies who were working with the related field of SME in Myanmar. The Cranach’s alpha coefficient was used to measure the reliability of this research. The score of 0.70 or higher is accepted as reliable construct (Hair et al., 2006). After the data test, all the Cronbach’s alpha value was greater than 0.70, all the factor reliable enough to use in the data collection.

Abstract: Any society can sustain long-term development without promoting investment that is,we can say the foundation of all economic growth. Indeed, investment which has a special role to play in economic growth is inescapable insofar as it can contribute effectively to the creation of jobs, the increase in the volume of capital, the financing of development projects and above all to strengthen the capacity of the sectors of economic activity. Investment has a very special role to play in economic growth in Africa since its countries lack the financial resources to promote their economic development. However, policy makers in African countries must ensure that Africa's investment can make a significant contribution to economic development. They must therefore make important policy decisions that not only promote investment but also encourage investors to invest in strategic and priority sectors that will help improving economic activity and also ensure that investment is beneficial To economic growth.
