Abstract: The study aims to determine the effect of health risk behavior in the academic performance of the BSHM and BSHRM students in Bulacan State University Hagonoy Campus. The researchers used descriptive method in conducting the study. The research was conducted in Bulacan State University Hagonoy Campus. it has an overall total of 71 respondents composed of 2^nd BSHM students and 3^rd-4^th year BS HRM students. The data used in this study was gathered though distributing survey questionnaire to respondents. The statistics used for were frequency, percentage, weighted mean and correlation.Based on the findings of the study, it is concluded that 1) based from the statistical treatment of data, there was no significant relationship between demographic profile of respondents and health risk behavior; 2) based on the academic performance last school year 2014-2015, all of the respondents are passing their academic performance. Health risk behavior are not affecting their studies; and 3) based on the study, majority of the respondents are not having the kind of health risk behavior. The respondents’ eating habits, sleeping habits, drinking habits and hangout habits has a moderate positive effects on the health risk behavior.

Abstract: Parents, based on their backgrounds, and educational experiences, have different ideas, perceptions, and attitudes of what their involvement in their child’s reading achievement. This study finds strength at parental involvement with different reading activities to help learners improve reading achievement. It examines the extent of parents’ involvement in the different reading activities and its correlation to the reading performance of the pupils in Marihatag District. Survey questionnaires were used in gathering the data. The researcher conducted the study in three schools of Marihatag District Marihatag Central Elementary School, Hinogbakan Elementary School, Lingaya Elementary School. Parents answered questionnaires during the HRPTA meeting. Interview was also conducted to affirm the responses of the parents to the instrument. Phil-IRI Pre-test result of July of this School Year 2017-2018 was used to identifying Pupils’ reading performance. 127 parents returned questionnaire and pupils participated the Phil-IRI. These data were used for the analysis. Decision rule was for the rejection of the null hypothesis. Results show that pupils with high reading achievement have parents who were involved in comprehension activities while those parents who have less participation in reading activities, pupils tend to be at the lower level of reading achievement. It recommends encouraging and strengthening the involvement of parents in reading activities at home and school.

Abstract: The research is related with understanding the purchase decision journey of consumers while buying a mobile phone, as mobile phones have become an integral part of our lives and their business market is continuously growing and expanding. Specifically, this is report trying to elucidate and analyse several factors affecting the purchase decision of consumer and consumer behaviour. There are various factors that affects the buying decision of a buyer like price, specification, cultural differences, convenience while buying a mobile phone etc. and by analysing these factors an organisation can gain a competitive advantage over others by making these factors favourable for them. Both secondary as well as primary data is used to support this report, for secondary data past literature works of different authors in this research region is used for guiding purpose and to obtain primary data, the method of short interview more specifically face-to-face interviews is selected and used after appropriate analysis of various methods available for data collection as while conducting this research, it is essential to take in consideration the sources of data that would provide not only informative results but also accurate information, attitudes, and preferences of the customers. The sample size for the interview process is twenty customers. The respondents are asked questions in accordance to the purchase decision journey so as to get a proper idea about the consumer psychology involved in this type of decision making. After the collection of data, the actual research starts with the analysis of the findings. The findings are the qualitative data that require phenomenological approach to analyse it that will organize with philosophical perspective as the focus is mainly on subjective interpretations and experiences. The analysis of findings revealed that before purchasing a mobile phone, the customers are eager to evaluate the most important factors. These factors include price, features, quality, brand name, durability, social factors and the position of the brand in the business market and also that even culture plays a major role in this purchase decision making process. Based on the results of the analysis, many recommendations are provided for the organisation such as the marketing managers of the mobile company should broadcast an advertisement on the mobile brand. This process is very effective to influence the purchasing decision of the customers by making the brand name prominent. Also different types of branding strategy can be implemented on the mobile company in order to attract the customers. Through the brand recognition, customers can shift their attention from one brand to another. Lastly, to conclude this study would aid the organizations decision making and also help to gain a competitive edge over others by being able to understand its customer base better which will be significant in the area of marketing. Moreover, this research also elucidates the impact of social media on the perception of customer which can be of great importance in strategizing

Title: INVESTIGATING THE INTERNATIONAL CONSUMERS PURCHASE DECISION JOURNEY, WHEN PURCHASING A MOBILE PHONE FROM INTERNATIONAL GLOBAL BRANDS

Abstract: This research aimed to examine the performance of pre-secondary teacher in the National Competency-Based Teacher Standards in the higher education institutions. The personal information and the needed data for the performance of pre-service teachers were gathered. The competency level of the pre-service teachers’ guide in the observation of their demonstration teaching served as the basis of the lesson execution. On the basis of findings of the study, the result shows that the implementation of the NCBTS in pre-service teachers training in Higher Education Institutions in region III thoroughly obtained very satisfactory as being assessed by two groups of respondents, and that the two groups do not differ in their assessment as to the NCBTS implementation. Generally, the pre-service teachers gained knowledge and understanding on the NCBTS framework as they showed very satisfactory rating in their demonstration teaching. Therefore, the suggested curriculum intervention scheme plan is suitable, feasible and acceptable which when implemented, the pre-service teachers can be described the professional knowledge and skill characteristic of effective teachers. In the light of the findings, conclusion and recommendations were suggested.

Abstract: The hermeneutic phenomenological explanation of the lived experiences of adolescent mothers within a 20-year span has been noted, and responded to via four research questions.

A qualitative approach was taken to conduct this research, which comprises 14 participants from urban and rural Jamaica: 10 former adolescent mothers who became pregnant while they were within the age cohort of 11-17 years, and 4 policy-makers.

Despite unfavourable  cultural dictates (legislation, patriarchal practice and value-laden positionalities), the outcome of majority of the adolescent mothers were positive.

Abstract: Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has been a focus of many studies for the reason that many countries believe that FDI promotes economic growth and adds to employment.  Further, ripple effects are felt as the new businesses will require suppliers and this encourages Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to develop.  Increased per capita income will encourage more consumption in the country which will, again promote ripple effects contributing to economic growth. Hence, this study aimed to determine the relationship between Real Exchange Rate (RER) and FDI. Is there causal relationship between the two variables which may indicate economic gains as the Turkish Lira plummets and the Turkish government not intervening very much to stop the currency’s fall? The study used 44 years of data on both variables coming from reputable institutions, particularly World Bank and Bruegel.  A simple regression was utilized for data analysis. The results show that the RER positively affects FDI inflows and the p-value shows a very strong evidence on this even up to 99% degree confidence.  Further, the R-squared shows a good explanatory power of RER which tells us that if taken together with other variables having good explanatory power, that model may be used to predict the movement of FDI.  The results also show that the claims of the Turkish government have basis, as letting the Turkish Lira fall would have positive effects on FDI inflows.  RER provides 22% explanatory power, there may be other ways to encourage FDI, inflows without sacrificing much the purchasing power.

Title: THE IMPACT OF TURKISH LIRA AND US DOLLAR EXCHANGE RATE ON FOREIGN INVESTMENTS IN TURKEY

Abstract: Performance-based assessment is the thrust of Higher Education Institutions in the Philippines. Rural schools are faced with variety of pressures that are competing for attention within the community. This research assessed students’ attitudes towards performance-based assessment. It also aimed that instructional material will be developed. It utilized descriptive-quantitative research design and used weighted mean, t-test for two independent groups and Pearson r. Respondents of the study were 29 teachers and 238 students. The assessment ratings of students towards their attitude on the four types of assessment is significantly different from the assessment ratings of the teachers. The assessment ratings of students towards their attitude on performance-based assessment is not significantly different from the assessment ratings of the teachers. The students’ attitude on the four types of assessment as assessed by the students have significant relationship with the students’ attitude on performance-based assessment. The students’ attitude on the four types of assessment as assessed by the teachers have no significant relationship with the students’ attitude on performance-based assessment. The school officials should encourage teachers to always exhibit positive teaching behavior to further learning of students. An instructional material can be developed emphasizing the usage of performance-based assessment tools.

Abstract: This quantitative study that is descriptive focused on the school quality assurance on the governance and management styles of public elementary school under K to 12 Curriculum in of Cotabato City Division for the school year 2016-2017. The 93 public elementary school teachers at District VI of Cotabato City Division were identified as research respondents. Results revealed that the school heads under school governance exhibited evident on policy execution, direction setting, and managerial competence. On the context of management styles, school heads performed evident on the hierarchical, transactional, and transformational styles. Quality assurance was observed evident in terms of instructional, students and teachers’ development, and school advancement. Conclusion and implications for practice were discussed.
