Abstract: The learners of today are to be groomed for future work and citizenship and for twenty first century. It is formidable that globalisation, invention of new technologies, migration policy, global competition, market changes and political issues are remarkably questioning learners today in their acquisition phase of skills and knowledge. Educationists, researchers and governments work towards the abilities that are to be developed as twenty first century skills essentially as higher order thinking, deeper learning outcomes, critical and complex thinking. The development of twenty first century skills must not be slowed down or available only for higher level students. It is also most important to develop meta-cognitive competencies and skill from the early education. Students of today are natural investigators and syntheziers of education. They are into the enquiry-based learning with the advent of technology. Education through network will enhance students participation in a more personalized way and it will create equitable learning opportunities. By collaborating in their own communities and as part of teams of learners separated by time and distance E Commerce plays a major role. This is the where E Commerce contribution to the future citizens who are going make the world a great place to live in and carriers for future.
