Abstract: The study is to produce a digital map of National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) Operation Areas using AutoCAD Land Development Software to carry out: scanning, geo-referencing and vectorization from an analogue map produced by the researcher in 1996 and questionnaire surveyed on random Sampling technique to collect data about NYSC operation areas nationwide. The null hypothesis (Ho) which stated that, there is significant relationship between the effectiveness of NYSC operation and the usage of map which was tested using Chi-square. Non-Parametric Statistical tool was rejected as the calculated value of 273.43arrived at is higher than the critical value of 5.99. The study also revealed that some corp members miss their ways during orientation or the service year. Recommendations were made to make NYSC service more effective.
