• Free and independent: because it is not subject to any rules, norms or legal norms
• Different: to other activities performed by man
• Self-sufficient: because it is self-sufficient
• Autarkic: because it is governed by its own laws.
• First cause: because it is a generating cause, not only of itself but also of everything else.
