Abstract: This study pertained to the grammatical errors in news casting of the two networks in the country. This documented the errors, believing that Television News casting will help enrich the Filipino Language because of its influence. Corder’s (1971, 1986) error analysis was used to construct descriptive taxonomy from the narratives of TV Patrol and 24 Oras. The initial procedure was monitoring and documentation; then news was transcribed and kept in the data bank. The errors were analyzed and classified into word omission, addition, reduplication, misuse, including fossilization and double pluralization, and wrong placement of words. Triangulation was done through, personal analysis, Focus Group Discussion, and critiquing by experts in the Filipino Language and news casting, and from this, language rules were created.
